I had a dreadful experience with GoToGate during the pandemic when they refused to refund flights from Japan to Australia. I was fortunate my credit card insurance covered what GoToGate should have paid, and i vowed to never use the company again.
I booked return flights from Seattle to Bozeman on booking.com -- a company I have used a lot, and have found to be reliable. They used GoToGate to book the flights. I had to change the flight time of one of the flights, but having bought a flexible ticket, and having looked online, saw that there should be no charge for changing my flight. GoToGate charged me £45 / ticket. Explanation made no sense. Do not use, and i suggest be careful in booking flights through booking.com unless you are sure they are not using GoToGate which is disreputable company that should be shut down.
The airline that we had booked through GoToGate cancelled a flight and the offered alternate flight had timelines that did not work for our connections. We booked a different flight and GoToGate has not refunded payment for the cancelled flight after 5 months. Their responsiveness has been terrible and suggested that the airline could be part of the problem. Friends of ours who had booked directly with the airline in question received a refund within 30 days. How are these guys still in business?
Paid for a seat reservation but did not get the seat and they told me the money is only for a request! And they cannot guarantee so be careful because you may spend money for nothing.

Don't trust them. They will not reveal handling fees in their terms and conditions or on call. But if you will cancel or make changes they will deduct more than 50% and then there is no resolution for your problem. My experience is worst with them. Please book directly through airline rather than giving them your money. They are no help at all.
After waiting for two hours to try to change the destination on my "flexible fare" which cost an extra $60, I am now being told that I can't change the destination, only the date and time. You can book directly and get much better service for much less money. Please do not waste your time. I'm sorry that I didn't see this site before I handed them my money. Live and learn.
I would give a zero stars but that choice wasn't available. DO NOT EVER BOOK with GoToGate, they are fishy and very unhelpful. They will not help you make name corrections on your ticket, and they won't even credit a non-refundable ticket.
There are way better options out there and many, don't waste your time with this travel agency.

Horrible. I needed changes to my flight dates. The representative asked me to call the airline, so if they accept to help me then the dates can be moved. The airline said that is not the protocol as Gotogate collected the money. Called back gotogate, they say it's a no go, no changes, no refund, as it's the airline policy. The ball is just thrown around, I will have to lose my tickets. I flew a few times with gotogate, I will never be coming back with them. Very sad experience. Don't go with them, once they process your money there are no courtesies, everything is set in concrete.
Never have I delt with such a blatant ripoff company. I booked thru Booking.com for a European flight for myself and my wife. They booked 2 tickets for my wife and none for me. I called immediately and they said "we will fix this". Nothing happened for a month. Then they hung up. Then they Emailed for me to stop calling and Emailing. Then they said it would be fixed before the flight. It wasn't. "Policy" was the word they used to justify them not fixing their mistake. BTW, their "policy" is to take your money and keep it and not provide any help to fix their mistakes. United Airlines fixed the error on the day of departure and said this was typical of GOTOGATE.com. Ultimately, Booking.com is responsible for subcontracting to a scammer company.
Booked ticket through Booking.com partner GotTogGate. Only option following a carrier schedule change was to cancel booking and flight. That was over one-month ago. Repeated calls, return receipt letter and more than one-month later, no update or refund. Im embarrassed for my stupidity in expecting this transaction be seamless.

I bought airline tickets from Johannesburg to London for three passengers days later we noticed that one passenger needed name correction as we had used her maiden surname in place of her marital surname. Sent an email to the agency for that name change infact that took more than two weeks of back and forth daily with them. In some cases having to start over in explaining our issue. Long story short they then sent an email to confirm name correction. 48 hours before flight time I tried online check in but failed being told I had to proceed to airline. On day of flight Went to the airport 5 hours early was told I can not check in as there was an issue with my ticket. Inquired what the issue could have been I was told they did a change at go to gate as a result my ticket was showing as exchange. With no new ticket issued. I had to call go to gate being made to hold for 3 minutes while they check in the end that 3 minutes turned into 4 hours flight was closed and I missed my flight. From was on a call and chat with them where they promised to fix ended up talking to a supervisor Mervin, but he also promised to call back which he never did. In the end tried to talk to them on chat. The agent then told me there is nothing they can do on their side. I have an option to rebook a flight two days later with a rebooking fee of ZAR 2600. I feel robbed as this wasn't my error to begin with why must I have to pay for their error?am stuck with no ticket and not able to cancel with them as they charging for cancellation too.
There are the most pathetic travel agency i have came across in my life they do not help their customers just make them fool. I booked my ticket with them by mistake i put the wrong name and i informed them less then 24 hours but they make us fool for 20 days with no solution and at the end when its just a week left for travel they informed that there is some extra charge for $1000 such a SCAM NEVER BOOK TICKET WITH THIS TRAVEL AGENCY
Terrible. Booked a $1,700 flight on Spirit through booking.com. Transferred somehow to Go to Gate...Flight changed by 14 hours. Tried to cancel through Spirit...They told me they couldn't credit because the flight was booked on a different credit card and I didn't have the last 4 digits (CC or Go to Gate). I have called Go to Gate several times. They repeat the same things over and over again with no real solution. Call is escalated. They also keep telling me to call the airline of which I have 3 times, but Spirit tells me the refund has to be processed through Go to Gate! My next step is to report to my credit card company in hopes they will refund my money. I don't know how booking.com could transfer my booking to this company? Bad all around.
Hi, I made a booking through Gotogate.I requested to cancel the flight From 19/12/2022 until today I have not received my refund and Gotogate is asking to me to wait without updating the status of my refund. I talked to Gotogate agents many times over the phone but none of them gave me a reasonable explanation of the status of my refund. They promised me priority escalation of my case but so far nothing has happened. Now it is more now 6 months waiting to get my refund. My experience with Gotogate is very frustrating. I would like to receive my refund ASAP Otherwise I will start going in all the social media platforms, radio or even take a lawyer. This not gonna work with me I promised you User's recommendation: Never
