The refusal to issue a refund, despite the cancellation of the flight and the confirmed reimbursement from Ethiopian Airlines on 28 April 2025, constitutes a clear violation of EU Regulation 261/2004 as well as the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (Konsumentköplagen).
Under Article 8 of EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers are entitled to a full refund within 7 days following cancellation by the airline. This obligation applies regardless of whether the booking was made directly or through a travel agent. Furthermore, under Swedish law, travel agents and intermediaries are not entitled to delay refunds pending reimbursement from third parties. The obligation to refund lies with the contract partner — in this case, Gotogate.
You charged me $70 at the end of my purchase. Once a user selects a flight and is in the process of purchasing the ticket, you should not change the price. That is a very deceptive practice!

Too many add-on choices for extra fees. Price should be shown with whatever amenities or extras already included.
Good experience with GoToGate except for the seemingly endless extra expenses being offered--acts like the "cheapy" airlines who want to ding for everything over the base flight cost.
I have a flight on the 12th of June from Berlin to Phuket. Unfortunately it is very early in the morning, but that does not work for me. The airline reference is RUVI7P and I have a flexible Business Class flight.
Please change that flight from Berlin to Phuket to the afternoon or to the evening.
