I booked 2 rooms for a family of 5. Asked if the rooms could be conjoined and they said they would guarantee the rooms would be. After showing up the hotel did not have anything available. Getaroom would not do anything other then give me 10% of my total back. I had to call them back 3 times because the call "dropped"
I feel this company is a scam and everyone should steer clear of booking.

One starts being polite. I always go directly to the hotel schedule my trips, fortunately, this time I decide to use this app and it's just the worst experience I've ever had. Basically, they are not refundable service is polite, but basically telling you we are not going to give you your money back never ever use this page.

After I booked a room that was suppose to be $150, my confirmation email said $250. I went to cancel immediately - within 2 minutes, and received a cancellation notice. However, they did not refund my booking cost. I tried to resolve this with customer service and they refused to help me. I then tried to rebook since they already had my money. They refused to rebook me. So I am out of $250 because they held to a reservation for literally 2 minutes. Do not use this service. You will be scammed.

So after several failed attempts to get a refund on a room that I did not cancel because I needed the room but it was not there when I arrived and still got charged,I finally get a positive response on this review site from them so it looked like I was gonna get my refund only to get an email stating that my CC company will charge them to put a refund on my CC. Whoever heard such thing? My CC wouldn't deny a refund especially when they were filled in on the situation. They will do anything they can to make it as difficult for a customer to get what they deserve. Bottom line is they charged me for a room that I DIDNT CANCEL and was not there upon arrival. This is a bad and risky company to work for. Stay away and book through hotel only.

Scam, charge for the room, but then the hotel has to collect the remaining taxes. Added $86 to a 2 night stay. They've copied the hotels websites and make you think you're booking direct, then you get hit with other fees.

Don't ever use getaroom.com! They will charge you 2 times the going rate for a hotel! Terrible customer service!

Booked my reservation 2 months in advance for my child's tournament for 2 nights. 2 weeks before date of reservation I tried to cancel because the tournament got moved to a different city. I wanted to just move my reservation to the new city with getaroom but they refused and charged me $400 on top.
Worst site for hotels, don't ever use this site.
Get a room, got a hold of me and refunded money.

Last minute hotel, in Tampa Florida, had an early morning flight from Tampa back to Illinois. The hotel provided the shuttle to get to the airport! Everything was perfect! Getaroom was Awesome!

After my poor review for the non refund of an instantly cancelled room they reached out and made adjustments which is good, they just need to add place for code discounts and have time limit for money back cancellations.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
