In my 75+ years on Earth, I have never before encountered such a devious, deceptive, despicable, dishonest company. As but one example, I was allowed to cancel my reservation - but without receiving a refund. Whoever heard of such a thing?
I have been promised a full refund, but that is, so far, a completely empty promise. All talk and no action.
[Further update: I have now received my full refund of $296.48, but it should not be this difficult. If you cancel in sufficient time, you should get a full refund without any difficulty. What a novel concept!]

You will not get your money back even if you cancel weeks in advance. You can not get a real person to talk too either! This is a scam site! STAY AWAY!

Worst service I have ever received. They never found my reservation, I never used it and now priceline customer service says I did use it, I do not appreciate being called a liar. Do you yourself a favor and book through another service. You have been warned

Update: I received a full refund after posting this review and two others, so I changed my rating from one to two stars. I would still not use this company again though.
Complete scam. They take your money, pay the hotel, and charge you absurd service fees. Then they say your purchase is nonrefundable even a full week before the stay. They also let you cancel your reservation but then charge you another "fee" in the full amount of the booking. I just had a hotel tell me they would be happy to refund the room they booked for me if they would pass that refund on to me, but they still refused. Someone should shut this scam of a website down. I am completely baffled by the generally positive reviews here. Perhaps people thing $70 is a reasonable price to have someone book a hotel room for you that you could have done yourself for free?

Unknowingly sent to this third party website to book hotel room. Charged over 250$ more than website and wouldn't refund cancellation.

I wonder why the other review sites rate this lousy business very, very, poorly. Yet, This review site mostly has positive reviews. Maybe this site is in cahoots with these criminals? They stole $800 of my money. I called their customer "service" rep to cancel and get a refund, and was promised a refund in 3-5 days. Then, nothing showed up as a refund. So I contacted them and they told me "too bad, we have your money!". So I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Get a Jail Cell told my credit card company that I wasn't entitled to a refund, even though their VERY OWN EMPLOYEE promised me one. So, beware of this scam company! They lie, cheat, and steal.

Room was $214 plus a $50 resort fee (fine). Final charge was $465. A $201 fee that was not on the page when I clicked to pay was added to the amount I expected to pay (which was $264). Then I called and of course, asked to speak with management when they would provide no refund. On hold, thrice. Finally came back on the line, and the person pretended not to be able to hear me and hung up the phone. Called back again. It was the exact same script, verbatim. This is a Priceline company.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
