Horrible, terms and conditions indicate price match or cancel without penalty if completed with 24 hrs. Even with 15% off there was no price match and they were still higher than booking direct. Do not ever use them.

Took 2 times to book. Said 5 rooms left than room not available the 1st time.
I made a reservation for a hotel in London for the end of April and the charge on my card was 30% more than what I saw and agreed too. Additionally, the terms and conditions did not display on payment nor was a provided with a pre-payment summary. I went to cancel the booking within 10 minutes of making it and was told I would have to pay $800 in cancellation charges. I am a student and I just simply don't know how they can justify charging $800 dollars to cancel a $1000 booking for the end of April. It is not like this is a last minute cancellation. There is more than enough time to make up the revenue
UPDATE: By way of an update, I would like to state that 2-3 days after my initial review, Getaroom did refund me the full amount of the charge and they handled the complaint quickly and professionally.

I was trying to book directly in the hotel website of Discovery Suites but was routed to this site. It offered 3 different rates for a Twin Premiere room, I chose the cheapest because there's no difference between the three, but got charged for the most expensive. I called the hotel directly because I thought this was a scam but they cannot check on my reservation right away so I called customer service of getaroom. The CSR was friendly but cannot explain the difference of the 3 rates and offered to refund me 10% off the total price I was charged. Agreed to it because the price difference was $4.
Went to the website of the hotel and tried to book directly to see the price difference. It was $45. Getaroom charges $95 tax/service fee which is ridiculously high compared to what I would be charged if booked directly.

Don't ever book though this place they screw you with a 70$ fee and could have booked it at motel direct cheaper this is the biggest scam there is never use them again they people are not helpful and they have a no cancellation policy that is not shown when booking either terrible booking company

Funny they don't show the actually price before the pay button. So you think your room is $105.00 then after you hit that button under that text you see the actual bill of $169.00. WTF? They built the website so you don't see all those so called taxes and fees. How are they getting away with that? You can't get refunded but you can cancel and lose all that money? Complete scam.

I successfully book my desirable hotel using this agent. Then, I learned that this agent charged a fee which is 50% of the actual cost incurred at the hotel. I am very upset by the extremely high service charge. Please do check with the actual price listed by the hotel before you complete your transaction thru this agent.

I called reservation for La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport North. I needed a room for one night. While trying to book she asked for my credit card details, and the mistake I made was giving her my info before completing my questions to her. Anyway after I asked her if this was a direct reservation at La Quinta she said yes I also asked her would my Airline discount be added she said yes. I then asked her to hole on because I wanted to make sure my incentives would be applied. Turns out that was a lie. I asked her not to put through payment but all off a sudden her accent got deep. She said it was canceled. Turns out she submitted the payment. When ask why and that I need her to reverse what she did she said ok. I never got a refund, never stayed at the hotel etc. I realized its pulling nails and teeth to get my money back. I've called many times asking for a manager and when I do I get told it would be a while, they put a ticket in, they even go as far as giving me this # *******211 telling me to call that # that they would be the ones to assist me. When I called that # they are a pess control # so you can imagine my reaction. I called them back and another man came on the phone. After giving my details again. He said to me the other rep I spoke to offered me 10% discount. For one an absolute lie. Not only did he not offer anything he was also very disrespectful to me. And had he offer the response would be no because the only outcome would be my money back for the lies they told and charging my card without my say so. Getaroom no one should do business with you. You should be ashamed to employee people who lie to get a sale. I need a full refund please. La Quinta inn & suites by Wyndham should really be careful who they let represent them in business it will only detour customers from continuing to book because they tell lies and deceit customers for a sale. Smh. Thank you!

Terrible business practices! Deceptive. Rude customer service. Called to get a refund on $115 "tax" that was deceptively added! And the cancellation fee is more than the cost of the hotel itself and the last date to cancel and get a refund was yesterday's date. Extremely deceptive! I will never use this booking service again! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with getaroom.com. I purchased two nights at the Hilton, when we arrived the hotel was booked and our room wasted by the previous guest. Hilton customer service relocated us to the Marriott and gave us a complimentary 1st night for the inconvenience and we paid for the second night. Getaroom refuses to refund for the nights I purchased and couldn't use at the Hilton property. They even want to charge me a cancelation fee, when I never cancel the reservation, the Hilton did. It has been a total nightmare.

Buyer Beware! Getaroom is a scam! I thought I was booking directly through the hotel website. This third party website did not disclose its fees or disclose that it was a non refundable reservation fee until after I stupidly entered credit card information. As soon as the full price showed up and I realized the deception I called to cancel. The customer service rep was terrible. Even thought the reservation was only minutes old he indicated that they could not cancel the reservation because of the hidden non-refundable statement. I should have been more careful.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
