I found their number when I google searched a Hyatt hotel I was looking to book a reservation with in Boston. Under the search this companies (loosely reference here) contact number came up. When they answered my call they knew I was looking to book a Hyatt, just asked which Hyatt and for # in party and days to reserve. All seemed very typical to me. I booked with them for my stay. Next day I printed my email confirmation and noticed a "tax recovery" charge for $240.71. I also was told there was no cancellation period by Stephanie who I pushed and she eventually gave me a 5 day grace cancellation period, thank goodness I pushed her! I was shocked as this was never defined in my phone booking. I immediately called the company and spoke with Joseph. He was helpful and kind in the beginning until I started pressing him to define these charges. I finally got from him that they are to cover taxes, occupancy, state, city, government, room and another "fee" for their services. I asked to speak to a supervisor and 55 min later, being put on hold for 6 times and dealing with now a very rude, obnoxious, arrogant Joseph he had the nerve to offer me a credit of $58 which I declined. He then put me on hold again and then came back to say he could credit me $88 since the supervisor, Jenny was still not available. I'm sure there is NO Jenny! I finally got him to tell me they are a 3rd party booking agency which was never initially disclosed to me. Then after pushing him he eventually gave the name of this fraudulent company and I then immediately googled them to read horrible reviews. I did a live chat with the Hyatt and they did have my reservation and also had other rooms available which I booked on line with them. I then cancelled my reservation and asked for an email confirmation. He battled me initially saying their would be a penalty for cancellation, to which I told him I had an email confirming I could cancel. I did cancel, made him stay on line (on hold) while I "waited" for his email confirming he had cancelled my reservation. I also kept him on hold while I called my visa company to confirm the credit back to my card in full. They verified this credit. I then informed Joseph I would be writing a review on their website and notifying the Better Business Bureau of their fraudulent activities. Happily I then said good day to Joseph and hung up, lesson learned! DO NOT ever do business with this company. The number I called was *******239

After I clicked on the red circles indicating our check in and check out dates, and given my credit card info, the screen said that I had booked that day's date. Because you have no same day cancellation policy, I lost $650 plus dollars. An hour later on the phone w your company, the hotel, my credit card company, Christopher, a manager finally relented to allow me to apply the charge to the dates I wanted originally. This is a scam! How many other people have you pulled this on? I will never ever ever ever do business w your company again!

I was forced to stay overnight in NYC when a flight from LGA was cancelled. I used Getaroom.com to find a local hotel, and used them because the rate quoted was $70-$80 less than other sites. However, on checkout they added taxes and "service fees" amounting to more than 50% of the room price--a classic bait and switch. On top of that (and worst of all), I was booked into the Holiday Inn LaGuardia-Citifield. When I arrived at the hotel, it wasn't a Holiday Inn at all, and it had not been for some time. We stayed because it was late and the room was OK, but the entire hotel (literally, with no name), had no amenities--the bar/restaurant and sundries store had been closed for some time. The rooms had TV, good beds, a coffee maker with one coffee pod, and towels. But most other vestiges of a decent hotel room were absent (hairdryers, clock, cable). Will never use this company again.

Easy to use website. Was directed to it via google. Seems to only have great deals if it's same day or day before booking needed room.
I got the room for the cheapest price available. The booking was straight forward and took very little time. My confirmation was sent very quickly.

I am the office manager for a construction company. I reconcile the credit card statements. A charge on our Amex card on 4/22/22 for $494.41 was not claimed by the cardholder. I asked for clarification of the charge from your help page, your web page and through email. They promised to reply but I have not heard anything. Note on credit card statement is "R**************"

Hotel room was big and very clean. If find Days Inn in Thibodaux is the best place to stay whenever I am in Houma or Thibodaux area. This hotel in thibodaux is very safe compare to some I found in Houma. Highly recommend to my friends and family.

The link to my password would not work after trying three times. When I tried to log in a fourth time, I was told my account was locked. I eventually had to use another email address in order to book the reservation.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
