Absolutely ridiculous especially when I'm meant to visit in 6 days!
Short time to get in touch with a customer rep. Very competent. Only thing that was disappointing, my changes were priced in US dollars, whereas my initial bokking was charged in Canadian dollars. In other words, same room was charged 99$ CA the first time, 99$ US the second time. At the end, I pay extra 21$ CA for each day. It would have been best for me to cancel online, and book again online speaking in CA dollars. This said, very easy to speak with your customer rep. Well done!
Attempted to book direct with Marriott. This site popped in and charged me additional fees that were not shown prior to checkout. Do not use getaroom.com
Called the customer service 5 min later that said we can cancel but you will not get a refund. Good lesson.
I called about a certain hotel which was a higher rate. They offered to find me a lower rate and did so successfully. I called back two days later to change my reservation to 2 nights and to 2 Q from a king. They reserved and took payment for the secondnight and the. Stated they were not sure if they could get me into a queen for both nights since I had already paid for one: there was a queen available but:::::::: I had to call the hotel myself to get it changed after 3 phone calls and waiting 5 days for them to keep telling me they would check and email me back... never received any follow up emails from them
I contacted GetaRoom.com customer service to dispute a charge made against my credit card. I had attempted to make a hotel reservation online. While I was going to through the reservation process the room became unavailable and the reservation didn't go through, but my credit card was still charged. The customer service rep informed me that they could transfer me to someone who could assist correcting the charge, but before she did, she identified I was still looking for a room in Miami. She located the area I was trying to stay in, based on my failed reservation and she found a GREAT deal that I was not aware of. Once the room was reserved she assisted in getting the charge corrected. This is great customer service.
I prefer get room then the other site, it's fast, best rate, before 2 times I use this site, and I was satisfied so in future I will only only use this site
Called to modify reservation & add one night. Was told I had to make a separate booking for the one night alone. May not be getaroom's fault; may be policy of hotel. Just a bit inconvenient & may require us to change rooms for the one night, which would be a small hassle after being settled in for 3 days already. Again, may be hotel policies.
Very nice and responsive. But don't understand why the hotel does not get the reservation until 72 hrs before your stay.
Met all or expectations. Great location. Website was easy to book. Would definatley recommend and use again
I had the absolute most horrible experience. I booked a double room and once there I was told I was booked for a one bed, and was stuck with that for the rest of the night. The room was next to the dumpster and the entire area smelled terrible. The room itself also smelled like smoke and was not clean

Only thing I didn't realize that the payment for the room would cone out rgt. Then. I usually give the credit card number but they don't actually take the money. I'm on a fixed incone so I was glad I had enough to pay ahead of tine.
I did not receive a receipt and cant get a hold of them. I did receive this request to rate them though so they have the correct email address.
I used this site un-knowingly. I booked with Kayak and these guys took my money said all was good. I needed to find out how to get the hotel to accept a next day air delivery for me. I would be arriving in a day or two. I phoned the hotel just to find out they didnt even have a reservation for me. My card was charged and I paid for my stay at the hotel. I was very upset as I booked 6 days before my stay to assure a room. As I know, the event that I was attending was popular. Very undatisfied. After the call they hen sent me an email saying we messed up. Lame. The did their best to rectify but I had to book at a hotel 30 minutes from where I needed to be. All affordable hotels were booked. Very unsatisfactory.

I did it, hope I saved money. It was confusing as to what kind of rooms were getting. I hope were not disappointed.
I booked a last-minute hotel and prepaid online and I was at the hotel waiting I couldn't check in because it they hadn't sent the reservation over it took them 40 minutes and a few phone calls before they finally did it. If it's the same day reservation that thing should be priority and that reservation needs to get over there. It was almost midnight before I could finally check in.
Extremely dissatisfied as what i booked was not honored at the property. We spent 90 minutes with the concierge and the manager trying to get this resolved and it wasnt. They dont recognize your bookings as legitimate.
Started on Kayak, redirected 3-4 times, finally ended up on this site with a different price than initially quoted, easy/ismple checkout.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
