Easy access to top hotels in Seattle, Washington. Price was a great savings instead of booking straight through the hotel.
I did find a room in a hotel that was previously fully booked through this site but the price was the same but I'll take it for the fact that the convenience would outweigh the price.
Something is going on here. See several similar complaints. Are they charging bogus fees and refunding overcharges when someone complains?

Satisfied with refund of overcharges
A definite SCAM. Mistakenly called them because when I googled Marriott, their contact info popped up showing a misleading connection to Marriott.
When I asked during the conversation, "is this Marriott reservations" I was told "we do all reservations" instead of a clear "no" which was the correct answer to my question. I was in the car and didn't catch on until later.
Great experience in every way. Price beat directly from hotel by 20%. I would definitely recommend this service to others and will use it myself in the future. Thank you.
When shopping for the hotel, this site had the best price. I was pleasantly surprised they allowed a no-fee cancellation. So, I booked to get the good price. I later found out that my company also booked my hotel for the same dates at another property. So, I had to cancel this booking and they didn't give me any problems to cancel and it was an easy single phone call process. Thanks!
Charges that showed up on my total was 2.5 times what was quoted to me. A $229.95 Tax Recovery and service fee charge was not disclosed before charging my card! When I called the number to stop the charges, I had no idea I had even booked through GET A ROOM until I was trying to get through the web of layered "representatives".
The hotel the reservation was with Wyndham, who had never heard of them and said the reservation at their end was made through Price Line. I could book the same room for the same dates directly through them for $229.00 less. Ahh coincedence that this is the fee for the "convenience" of being scammed? Never again will I use a third party to find me the "best" rates.
If rating could be negative it would. Looked like I was booking rooms through hotel. Made reservations for 2 rooms. The person I traveled with paid for her room. When I received my CC bill, I was charged for both rooms. Checked and the person I traveled with was charged for their room at a much lower price than I'm getting stuck with. They will not reduce it. Still trying to get her part of the bill removed.
Nice hotel, near lots of restaurants and stores. Not far from the Disney Parks. Great price, we will return on our next Disney getaway.
On November 28,2017, GetARoom gave me a full refund for my cancellation.
The web site is easy to navigate with great information. I wish it didn't charge such exorbitant and excessive fees.
GetARoom deceives you by thinking you are on the hotel site. The rates look great, but READ THE FINE PRINT. They charged and extra $140 for hotel recovery fees, whatever that is. I cancelled the reservation within minutes because it said the cancellation policy was that of the hotels.
They wont refund my money.
Why is it CROOKED? Why does it steal money from people? Why is it one of the nastiest companies in the world?
Reservation is not confirmed by Hotel even after 4 days of online booking. Constant follow up with hotel has not given a positive reply

This was by far the worst travel experience Ive ever had. Called GetARoom to book and noticed a cheaper far on THEIR site. The agent said Ill book you and then transfer you to customer care and they will fix it. We went through the booking. They transferred me, and the person at customer care immeadiately started arguing with me. I couldnt even get a word in all she wanted to do was fight me. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold forever and then said said there was no one available - convenient... Then more arguing. So much for customer care. What a joke. I went back on line and cancelled. These people are TERRIBLE!
We contacted the hotel the next day to inquire about early check in and they told us we had no reservations while my credit card was fully charged almost immediately. We called and I am still unclear on the matter
While visiting the Fairfield Marriott "official" website to book a room I was also scammed by getaroom.com. I called getaroom with my concern over the excessive tax and service charges. They couldn't care less. They can't break down the charges and at this point have not offered to make any refund. I am still pursuing this, because some clients have stated they did get some or all of the excessive charges refunded. I will not book another room with any of the Marriot affiliates if this is the way they treat their clients.
I have booked before with GetARoom and found the experience to be great. Lately, the experience has been declining. The representative on this call wasn't all that helpful. I used to be a huge fan, not so much anymore
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
