After booking the hotel and being charged for the entire booking, i received the confirmation on my stay in hotel Kore Tulum retreat & spa resort From GetARoom. Right after I purchased the plane tickets to Mexico for my family. A day later a representative contacts me to tell me that the hotel that I reserved has been overbooked and my reservation is cancelled. Alternatively I have been given a hotel 28km or 40 minute drive away from Tulum the town I want to visit. I responded that this alternative choice is absolutely out of question as I have been planning to visit Tulum with my family for 2 years now! I have received no response ever since! I will be righting my reviews on social networks and internet space to warn people of this scam like service of GetARoom
The rate and booking experience was great. However, the communication tool was confusing and unhelpful. The host ended up just giving me her email address.
Great weekend away in Philly. Couldn't ask for better accommodations and top notch customer service. Highly recommended while visiting the city.
GetARoom saved me and the wife enough money on a room on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago for the two nights we were there to pay for all of our meals!
I found GetARoom to be easier than expected and prices very reasonable. Will add more details once we are back from our travels.
Cheers to GetARoom for paying attention to issues brought forward and dealing with them. After no response from the rep that sold us the rooms, a less than pleased post on sitejabber, I was reached out to by getaroom and my issue was resolved. I didn't ask for the world, just the going rate for the room and not what I was charged. Very happily made it right. Very impressed that they cared enough to reach out and deal with it... Well done!
Booked with GetARoom, for a hockey tournament, Chris our rep got us a price of 109US, non cancellable, plus service fees and taxes a room. The same day other families booked the same room for 89 with no fees through the hotel! Many of us have called and have not go a call back from GetARoom to make it right. Do not recommend.
No fuss great discounted rate on a top hotel. Superb. Hotel itself had a few issues but that not getarooms fault

We stayed here one week before christmas.
We stayed at city view room and saw beautiful Christmas market lights up. We also enjoyed swimming pool. Kids are excited could swim outside too! I want stay at Christmas time next year too.
Booked a room in Deland FA for three nights. I was told that it was a Marriott property and that there was a microwave in the room. Upon check-in, I learned that neither was true. This company added $130 to my hotel bill as there cut. This is an absolute complete rip off scam. Stay as far away as you can from this boiler room con.
A bit confusing as to which company I was doing the deal with. I was searching for rates & availability thru several websites like: hotels.com, expedia, and tripadvisor. I found best rate via Tripadvisor, but when clicking on book reservation, was switched to Getaroom.
Beyond that it went smoothly with the exception of coming up with an acceptable password

Very attentive to my requests and no hesitations to get in contact with them. "I want a room facing the city". I only had to advise them with 1 email and when i arrived. Boom! Amazingg service
I have been trying to call the number and it gets redirected to intercontinental hotels. When i say my issue is with novotel they say they cant help me. Very annoyed
Booked 3 nights at Holiday Inn. Location was on the wrong side of town, called to cancel the wrong one while standing in the right one. And they refused to refund because the reservation was for the same night. We will no longer use GetARoom site for reservations and we will not stay at a Holiday Inn again. GetARoom said it was Holiday Inn that refused the refund. Holiday Inn said it was GetARoom... Don't use either one!
Quick response from service rep. Easy and quick completion, good price. Would use the service again without hesitation.

My price for a room at Vagabond Inn in Palm Springs was far better than the
Price quoted by the hotel and better than the other booking services. I was very pleased.
Ppl kept walking in Our room and knocking on our door other than that it was ok, i dont see how a 2 queen suite is smaller than anything ivd ever seen in my life its me and my wife y they couldnt give us a king suite like i orignally ordered.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
