It's pretty, it's charming, it's not too expensive. Never expected anything like this in Manhattan. If it got a lot of bad reviews I suspect it's a lot of fans trying to scare y'all away.
The person who booked my room was knowledgeable, courteous, experienced with what needed to be done. Very satisfied.
I needed a hotel for Christmas Eve to Christmas night and wasn't sure what the hotel volume would be. I made a reservation 6 days in advance. The charge cleared on my account and a confirmation email was sent to my email account and everything looked correct... And then when I arrived at the hotel, they did not have a reservation on file, told me the "confirmation number" was invalid and had me call the company. After talking to them, the rep (less than friendly) told me the hotel had to call them and they would send the information to them. I had them call... They did and the person asked to speak to me instead of the hotel... Then after having the same conversation with a second rep, she asked to speak to the hotel again. Then while she was unsuccessfully trying to send over the reservation, another rep called the hotel--the poor night hotel worker was literally juggling two phones with different reps at the same time. They never could get it to go through and could not reimburse me, but told me they could make another reservation for another charge. Oh, btw, paying in person was about $35 less expensive than the getaroom charge. I told them I wanted a reimbursement since they provided zero services (except a headache) and they said they couldn't do that at night and id have to call back tomorrow (Christmas day). When I asked if they'd even be open on Christmas or if I'd have to wait until the 26th, the rep had no idea what the office hours were and had no idea of finding out. Will never use them again. I am extremely angry that a company would charge my account and never provide a service and then say they can't reimburse me or provide the service. AND charge me that much more than the hotel's cost. Bright side: the hotel was very accommodating and gave me the room at discounted cost for my troubles (which were also their troubles and all caused by getaroom).
Nothing was really wrong. However staying on Christmas Weekend 2017 there were probably less than two dozen rooms rented. After going to bed we realized that our room backed up to Interstate 85 and so we heard all the holiday traffic all night long. It is not like the hotel didn't have more rooms available. Additionally, I booked the room on a non-cancellation basis so it was already charged to my credit card days before our stay. When checking in the clerk stated that the credit card would have to be swiped but assured me no additional billing. Guess what, when I got home and checked by bank, additional billing has been charged which I will now have to deal with after Christmas. So much for third-party billing.
When I need to modify my reservation their CS just told me their system cant do this. I called hotel directly and hotel can modify but need travel agent to make the call - then I called getaroom, CS promise to contact hotel but never do - even I called them several times.
While searching for a hotel in Barcelona for next May, deal came up through TripAdvisor and GetARoom was the booking agent the deal wa by far the best deal. We booked 2 rooms and got a great deal.
We had to change our reservations to another date and everything was handled with courtesy and professionally!
My room was very affordable and much more comfortable than the Day's inn right across the street from the casino.
Easily the best deal around. Highly recommended! I was initially concerned of the click and baits your read about on the net, this is not one. Called the hotel the next day to confirm booking and they had it! 2 months booking in advance, and it was there waiting on our arrival. So excited, I will definitely be using them in the future.
I had to book 7 different rooms for 8 famies. I wasn't sure about the prices I saw online, additional fees, amenities for the hotel, best location to use. Orin was very Polite, spoke clearly, able to answer all my questions, (and i had alot) patient, helpful, very flexible, easy to reach when I needed a call back, able to speak with others from my party to answer their questions and meet their needs...
Received a room that was less than what I booked. My only compensation was a refund of taxes paid...
Update: customer service contacted me and made me whole for this transaction. I have updated my review accordingly.
Its not often that Im duped during a Google search by sites posing to be official but Get a Room got me. A friend booking a room for me said the Best Western had a rewards rate of $85 so I went online to get it. When I was directed to Get a Room I really thought I was on the Best Western site even though I was not. I found the $85 rate, but when I chose the room more than $32 in taxes and fees appeared and the payment was non refundable. I am a loyal rewards member of Best Western and their reservations are always refundable. I had already paid but I was suspicious of fraud. I did a further search and discovered was happened. On the real BW site the rewards rate is $80 and the taxes are only $10. So the Best Rate Guarantee of Get a Room is garbage. I have been duped into paying $27 more!

Kudos to GetARoom customer service. After posting this review they contacted me immediately and promised a refund of their fees after my hotel stay. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I appreciate great customer service.
I phoned WingatebyWyndham's clerk who said my prepaid Getaroom confirmation #R******* was invalid! So I then asked Getaroom agent who said that number was valid! Your phone clerk told me to call Wingate/Wyndham again, but I decided to cancel this Getaroom reservation & it now shows as cancelled on time with full refund $141.11 to go on my credit card. Now Wingate's clerk has made instead of it a new reservation at Wingate Wyndham for same 12/ 25-27/2017 for same 2 adults at higher price than my Getaroom's price would be. What would I have done Dec 25 arrival if my Getaroom prepaid reservation was invalid at this hotel?
I have booked a hotel in Milan through Trip Advisor last week. When I booked the hotel, I specified 2 rooms and 2 adults in each room ( Total 4 adults) for 2 nights. Once I press the Double Single Use Standard it opened in another window and I have completed the booking. When I get the confirmation email, I have noticed that it shows 1 adult per room and total 2 adults and not 4 adults as I have specified.
I have called the Help desk nbr and she has asked me to call the Hotel directly and asked them to adjust the reservation, as I have booked for two double rooms. I have called them for couple of days and later sent an email.
They were not able to get the reservation changed to 4 adults as they don't have any double rooms left, even though a I booked a double room.and asked me to contact GetaRoom again. I have sent an escalation email twice and no response.
There is no option to cancel the reservation, as it was a non refundable fare. Though I have the screen shots that shows that I have asked for 2 rooms for 4 adults, the customer service is not responding and also not giving the refund.
Even airlines allow you to cancel within 24 hrs, but here there is no option to cancel, once you book it, even though it is website's issue.
Looks like I lost my money.
Food was excellent and staff was so kind and friendly. Also we loved magic and soup cup.
Our favorite food was chikin noodle soup that was so great.
We easily searched and found an ideal hotel near the airport in Rome Italy for our vacation next Spring.
They have an odd policy about confirming a reservation with the hotel. I wanted to extend my reservation by one night, so I called the hotel, but I was not in their system. The next day, same thing. GetARoom said it could take up to 72 hours before my hotel heard about my reservation. The hotel reservations person said that she had never heard of such a thing in the 17 years she's been doing this. For a moment I was worried that I had been swindled. It all worked out for me and I actually got a great rate on the hotel, so maybe I should not complain. But I just want to leave this review here to encourage the GetARoom people to figure out how to fix this aspect of their service.
While the price was the lowest if that day, I wanted to add an extra night after reserving. There was no place to do that. I also wanted to request a quiet room and no smoking. There was no place to do that either
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
