They use false ads on Google to look like hotel website. When I called and asked if this was the hotel website for the Mirage hotel they pretended it was. I asked about my hotel rewards and they put me on hold, then came back and said sorry you have no rewards at this time. After booking the hotel, and receiving the booking receipt from a 3rd party, I realized I was duped. I called the hotel and they said, I had rewards and companies like this place fake google ads everyday. CHEATS
I am very happy with my experience with GetARoom. Everything went smoothly. So far I just booked rooms. Am waiting to go on my vacation and then update my review. Thanks.
I booked through Get A Room and after I did I got nervous because I read a lot of negative reviews about people getting to the hotel and a reservation not being found in their name. So I called the hotel directly and they did have a reservation in my name for our vacation next month and I saved almost 50% off the rate advertised by the hotel during the week of our stay.
Booking a room through GetARoom was very easy. I was a little nervous because I had never used a service like it before, but I had no trouble at all.
Price kept changing while I was on the phone, I called because the website showed one price but a friend had gotten a price $20 less only two minutes before I logged on. When I called. I initially got the same price I found on the Internet and when the guy went to book it he suddenly said that the price changed and I had to purchase the breakfast that I did not
We were in Boston for an emergency hospital trip for our grandson and needed a room for the night. We saw that there was a hotel next to the hospital and your site had the best rates. A half hour after booking we walked over to the hotel who had no record of our reservation. When I called customer service I was told that since it was a last minute booking it takes longer. What on earth is that supposed to mean? I should have just paid the extra $20 hotel rate and booked a room at the counter. We waited in the lobby for nearly 45 minutes while you made several calls to the hotel, and it was clear that whomever I was speaking with didn't know what was going on as they still had me on hold when we entered our room. I stayed on the phone in an effort to not be rude but after being in our room for five minutes and still being on hold I simply hung up. At a stressful time for our family this is the last thing we needed. I will not use this service again.
Update: After I posted the review, I was contacted by a customer service rep by phone who offered me a full refund on our room for our trouble.
I reserved a room on this website, then found a cheaper price by $62 on the hotels site(same room). Getaroom would not price match as promised on their website. Very disappointed and will not be back!
We decided to look for a room walking distance to the US Bank Stadium and all agreed the Radisson Blu would be a great place to stay.
Using GetARoom was easy & quick. It made our reservation with no issues at all. The option to get the confirmation number e-mailed and/or texted to us was a nice feature.
Had never heard of GetARoom and saw it on a list of sites when I searched Trivago, they were under any rate I'd seen for the hotel we were looking at. Booked it but I thought maybe it was too good to be true... but I called Marriott and they have the reservation and I was able to add my rewards number. Will be looking at GetARoom in the future.
Good prices at nice hotels, and easy to use, good service, and helpful to show options of the rooms and comments from anothers users
Verified hotel is reserved in my name. Saved a lot of money - best price for room - not much to review at this time will have more after my stay. But this site insisted on 100 characters - done.
CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA PHONE TO CHANGE A RESERVATION, WAS TAKEN CARE OF WITHOUT A PROBLEM OVER THE PHONE.
I called back to verify my reservation after I called the hotel to verify and they told me it took up to 72 hours to send over because it was in a different system come on this is 2018 thats bull and I ask if I would receive another confirmation and they sad no and was there anything else and continually tried to end call without my satisfaction of course I am going to call hotel back to confirm because I dont wont to show up and not have room
Worst company I ever dealt with. Never use them. They lie about everything and they lie and lie and lie
Aside from having a terrible time getting to talk to a representative, the experience was good. I got a reservation at a hotel close to the venue I will be attending.
Without my consent, GetaRoom.com cancelled my reservation. I spent 4 hours of time, both personal and company, untangling a mess that GetaRoom.com created. I spoke with four different representatives, one of whom told me that "the system says the reservation was cancelled by the customer." Another told me, "The system says the reservation was cancelled by someone named Crystal in Los Angeles." (I didn't cancel my own reservation, and for the record, I'm not Crystal in Los Angeles.) "Maybe there's been some fraud," said another Customer Care representative, without further explanation, and then went on to ask for my credit card to rebook a reservation I had made over two months prior.
After being transferred numerous times, cut off, put on hold, I was finally--at my own insistence--able to speak to a manager in Sales. Danielle was the most clear and helpful individual I had contact with in FOUR hours.
While my reservation was rebooked with a very marginal discount, I was stunned that an upgrade was not offered. Perhaps that was beyond the power of the people I spoke to. Nonetheless, a $125 discount on an original reservation worth nearly $2,000 does not begin to balance the lost time I experienced, much less the stress of having fraud invoked while someone simultaneously asked for my corporate credit card after cancelling my reservation without cause, and the insult of being told that maybe I cancelled my own reservation. For a training that I booked months ago.
Further, I would have made my initial reservations directly through Hilton. Unfortunately, what I thought was a direct link from Hilton was in fact GetaRoom.com's pop-up. I will need a very convincing response to use this service in future, recommend to any of my friends, or share with the hundreds of colleagues in my work network, who also travel frequently.
Great deal on a great room. Had no issues will use for future hotel needs. The site was easy to use and the price was cheapest
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.
Answer: Call 800-468-3578 but good luck. They are scammers
Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
