The whole process was very easy, and the price was unbeatable. The price for the other travel site's were significant higher.
Details of the reservation were clearly stated and enabled me to make plans far in advance with the assurance that if the unforseen occurs, I can be flexible with dates, etc.
Booked a room on site - realized within 2 minutes that my husband booked a hotel room in same city for the same night. Called to cancel reservation immediately. Spoke with customer service and they said they would contact the hotel to see if the reservation could be canceled. They didn't. I contacted the hotel myself and the hotel said they would cancel for no charge to us. We have been charged for the hotel room and now working with Amex to have charge from this sight refunded.
I tried to book a room for the night using their rate but when i got to the desk at the hotel they said i had no reservations. The site booked my room for over a week out and when i called to get things corrected they refused to change my date or give me a refund, they told me over the phone i was wrong and sol. So i will never use this site again. After i spent over an hour on the phone at the hotel trying to solve the issues, another 2 hours a different day and emails throughout i was offered to be discounted 10% because there was no way to refund me so i wrote the top half of my review. After all that they finally decided that a refund could be made which i do appreciate but it is not worth the hassle of having to deal with again. At least offer a discount or room for the next time to try and get me to come back

I recently booked a room at a Lisbon hotel and mistakenly said one person instead of two. I immediately put in a customer request ticket asking for the change. I have one more gone in and asked why I have heard nothing. No response from them. I finally emailed the hotel itself to make the change. Very disappointed
I booked a room at the Mt. Washington Hotel, your email confirmation # listed me at the Omni Mt Washington Resort. When I called the hotel just now, they have my room at the Bretton Arms Inn, NOT THE HOTEL!
Chris made it possible for me to book two rooms in New York City for two friends. He got me a great deal of a hotel in a nice area! My friends are looking forward to their trip in May. The fact that you can talk to a live person is better than doing it online! Many thanks Chris!
I paid for a two night stay at the Sierra in Mammoth Lakes. Upon calling the hotel to confirm my room they informed me the site overbooked and would have to take responsibility for finding me a new room. I am not hearing back from the booking agent.
Clear website. Easy reservation. My final review will be after the hotel check in, stay and actual charges and will post here on 2-20-18 at 3:30 pm beginning with the phrase, "Santa Nella."
This is def a third party that will guide you to whatever hotel rooms they have available. I actually thought I was calling the hotel, but it was a 3rd party whose number must have popped up when I googled the specific hotel phone number. My mistake. The rep was nice but there was a communication barrier and I thought I had made reservation at my desired hotel, but the confirmation showed something different. Also, they do charge you in full immediately and will issue a refund when you cancel, as opposed to using your card to hold the room and not charging until close to your arrival. They were professional in getting it resolved. Waiting for the charge to be reversed.

Successfully, or so I was told, booked a room at the Cabañas Tulum Hotel. My credit card was charged $498 and some change. So far so good.
However, because I have been screwed over by partner sites before, I made sure to call the hotel directly to make sure they had received my reservation. Not only did they NOT have a reservation for me, they also told me that the night I booked was completely full and they had no room for me. This means, had I trusted TripAdvisor and GetARoom, I would have arrived in Tulum, a popular destination in Mexico, with no accommodations and would have to try to scramble to find a new room during peak season!
This is completely unacceptable. Here I thought TripAdvisor was a reputable website- guess not.

The hotel told me they had direct contracts with Booking.com and Expedia. As did the hotel I ended up booking at since this one was full.
Booked through Booking.com with no problem- called the new hotel and they confirmed they had my reservation!
Only reason I feel it wasnt excellent as the taxes werent included when first booked then taxes ended up being a third of price more.
I had been tracking a particular Hotel. GetARoom offered a lower price than any of the other sites. They also offered Free cancellation which the other sites were not offering. It was easy to book and they sent a quick confirmation.
Wrong room on both my reservations, horrible customer service, unable to extend a reservation and therefore had to book a separate reservation. Hilton didnt give me my point
I wrote simple questions to Service Center via email. I recieved a reply only after the escalation of not getting any answer. It's odd, no?! By the way, they didn't actually answered about early check in possibility but only provided the hotel contacts. Hm... on one hand it's good to have contacts of the hotel, but on the other hand it's a very simple question and why don't you want to know it?!
The reservation was early easy enough but if you want to modify or edit your reservation, you cant!
You have to cancel the whole thing and start all over.
Other booking sites lets you modify or make changes... so not being able to do that got 2 stars.
Competitive prices but this site allows you to modify or cancel a reservation within a reasonable time from check in. Many competitive sites do not allow cancellations without a full penalty.
We easily found what were looking for at a reasonable price and with the cancellation policy clearly displayed.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
