The phone-service is not a service, but just very annoying. An on-line-service for changing reservations would be so nice. Instead of waiting on the phone, talking to different people, who is talking VERY fast and in a not very understandable English, reading LONG condition-facts out loud.
I accidentally hit the wrong date when I booked. I called right away and after multiple attempts with customer service (who were in all 3 cases communication challenged) would not let me cancel or change the dates. Just told me too bad their computer wont allow them to and there was no one who could help. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.
In the end I had to eat the entire reservation
Our stay was cool and cloudy and we still had plenty to do. All but one the pool was heated so the kids were entertained for hours. There are water slides, a lazy river, hot tubs, you name it. Our room was recently renovated and its beautiful. Our view was amazing. We will definitely stay here next time we come.
Never ever ever use Getaroom! Awful customer service, the people are awful humans. Needed four rooms last minute, was told I had 4 rooms. All booked. Turns out I only had two rooms, and had to cancel my trip as I really needed four rooms. I had to pay cancellation fees even though I would never have booked two rooms if the lady on the phone was honest with me in the first place. Follow up complaint process is laughable and their staff are the worst - please avoid at all costs! These guys would not know customer service if it walked up and hit them in the face!
After they read this review they offered me my money back as a 'gesture of good will and in good faith' - with the most condescending email ever. Not a drip of irony that they owe me that money any way. Buyers beware! USE EXPEDIA!
Easy navigation. Found low rates on resorts and it was easy and super quick to book. Very please with the experience.
Booking was easy and give you the details well. But it is better to confirm with the hotel. It won't pass the reservation to hotel for few days. The hotel surcharges will be more that the web shows.
Its so easy to use, and it gave me the best deal for a very great hotel. This is my first time using getaroom and I would definitely use it again, as well as recommend it to a friend.
This was my 1st time using Getaroom, I called them directly versus online because I had a few questions. The customer service rep was friendly and patient with my questions. She was a great help! I will definitely use them instead of my normal discount website I use.

Was sent over to GetARoom from TripAdvisor and everything was right there, no searching, not a bunch of layers deep to find the information.
Easy and quick to book a room and was sent the email confirmation within 10 seconds of me pressing the button to finish the booking.
Wanted a room in same hotel we are starting a trip an extra two days before the excursion begins, and it was easy and straight-forward.

Absolutely do not use. I tried to cancel a reservation within 24 hours of making it, and this third party site (which conveniently poses as the hotel website itself) told me I would have to pay the full amount of the booking even though I was a month from check in. They lied to me when they told me this was the hotel's policy. If you try to cancel with them, they pretend to help you, take your number, call you back, but the entire point is to make you give up and either keep the reservation or lose your money. It's an unacceptable way to do business and nobody in the tourism or hospitality industry would ever refuse to cancel a reservation a month out. I am not sure how I missed that I was on this third party site, but read everything very carefully. It might look like you are booking direct, but this company has been known to pretend to be the hotel even on the phone.
I've now called 5 times since yesterday but still have no resolution to a relatively simple problem- I wish I could give this organization zero stars!
The Phone Reps are pleasant but have only offered repeatedly broken promises of call back. They have no authority to fix anything and have no escalation process, I was just disconnected during my 5th CALL in two days... so will try one last time and then I will write this off as an expensive mistake and book elsewhere
Managers- This is a service and your front line people should be EMPOWERED to solve problems or have a quick and simple escalation process,-Problems happen- how you manage them is what counts
Overall it was ok. I would do it again. The only thing is that I couldn't reserve more than 5 rooms at a time. I needed to reserve 9 rooms and had to do separate transactions with different email addresses.
Fast and efficient! And the offers seem reasonably priced. Good service overall Will come back to this site again for sure.
My call to make reservations went fast and smoothly. The lady taking the reservation was well informed and asked appropriate questions.
I made a reservation with getaroom and called the same night to ask if I could make an adjustment to my reservation. I specifically asked if I would be able to change the number of guests from 4 adults to 3 adults. I was told I would be able to do this. When I called back at a later date to change my reservation, I was told that I would not be able to change my reservation. If I canceled my reservation to change it, I would not be guaranteed a room.
The process to reserve a room was extremely smooth and quick. I would use this site again to book a room.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
