Ordered reservation with breakfast included and when we received the confirmation of our reservation BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED!
OUR CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AND IT IS A NON REFUNDABLE RATE AND THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WERE TOLD AT THE RESERVATION!
Room should have been $153 per night for 2 nights, they charged my AMEX $410. Would not cancel even though hotel would cancel, they said their hotel partners would not cancel it. Why do they need a hotel partner?! I thought that I was on the hotels website but no I landed on this sorry companys site! I will post a horrible review for this company on any and every site I can find! I tried to cancel 30 seconds after submitting reservations and seeing the total charge of $410. Con artist company! Will take this as far as possible and have already started the dispute process with AMEX.
I checked in and found my best price to be about $30 cheaper than I paid on this website. Will deal directly with Clarion next time. This Clarion Inn is a good bargain but not through here.
I was trying to find a room a little closer to downtown, walking distance to pubs etc. and I found it. Great price too.
While viewing properties on the site, the rates were constantly changing so that by the time I have viewed the possibilities, a rate of $175/night changed to over $200 and the downtown location I was originally interested in was over $300... looked like bait and switch to me. Not satisfied.
Our booking was quick and easily made. We booked 5 twin rooms and the price was very competitive, the cost was in US dollars so be prepared to do a currency conversion. Never used GetARoom before so hope all goes well with our booking later this year!
We were stuck in Florence without a room I made reservation in February and when I arrived in April the hotel had no reservation for us. It is a 4 Star well known hotel and they had sent getaroom notice of not having a room. However you took our money and kept it. I lead groups to Italy. I will NEVER use you again and I will discourage others to do so.
I was suppose to get $25.00 a night off the original room rate for the Great Wolf Lodge if I booked thru getaroom website and which did show up at check out. When I submitted for purchase extra taxes and fees of $l72.39 were added which put the total costs paid for a room for 2 nights over what I would have paid if booked thru the Great Wolf Lodge site. I called Getaroom and they only gave me 10% $72.39 refund. Also was never explained in order process the reservation was not refundable if canceled. The site said refundable if canceled before the reservation date. Only in the confirmation did it state I would have to pay one nite if canceling the reservation. This site is very deceiving and you will not get a cheaper rate or matching rate as stated.

Bad cancellation policy. I will continue to warn others of the awful customer service I received and stress added to my trip because of GetARoom. I hope nobody has to go through this.

It is the best price during looking for hotel nearby airport. I am looking for one night stay over for the early morning flight
The person I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and helpful. They took time discussing several options with me. They had knowledge of the hotels being considered and were able to find a 4 Star hotel for me at a great price. It was only a couple days before I needed a reservation and many of the Hotels in downtown Chicago were already pretty full and were offerring there remaining inventory at very high prices. GetARoom found a cancelation for me that they had just received and offered me the reservation at the low price.
Agent took the time to explain everything and made me feel comfortable at the same time.
She is a KEEPER!

I found the website clumsy and not intuitive or at least not as easy as others but on the phone they were great and all worked out with lower prices than other sites
I had to call the same night I did the reservation because I thought I bought it twice and customer service was great.
Took way too long. I was not told that it was a non-cancellable reservation! I will never use this site again.
I stayed 2 nights at Hampton Inn in AZ, $180/night and got an unexplained charge for "taxes and fees". This was my first time booking through getaroom.com and I could not decipher the charge. Within 24 hours, I got an e-mail from getaroom.com and they settled the issue to my complete satisfaction. Must say I'm not used to answers that fast, even in our digital age.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
