When I tried to extend my reservation for an additional night, I was unable to do so and had to check in a second time. Not terrible but not convenient. Check in process at the micro-tel was slow and I couldn't talk to the people at the hotel when making reservations.
When I call initially, the price was ridiculous. But when I mentioned it was too high to cancel reservations, the representative called me back with a significant price reduction. Very happy now.
Love the rates but the next day I needed to change my reservation to one day less as I forgot the time difference in flying form North America to Europe. So we are arriving a day later. I would have to cancel my booking and re-book but they could not guarantee the same price as was advertised on Kayak. I checked and the current price is $72 more per night or twice the cost.
Save a more than dollars over another website. Did not contact customer service or anything like that so not sure if I would have a problem. Detailed on the invoice but did not charge me resort fee nor did they say I would be charged at the hotel but I know that. Might be misleading for someone else.
NOT saavey AT ALL on my phone but site was painless and simple to use. Will certainly use again for my next room booking for future Trips
Booked a room at the Four Seasons Mexico City through GetARoom. Far discounted and smooth as I had booked on the Four Seasons website itself.
It was my first experience with getaway and everything worked perfect.
The hotel was not so good. Noises from the corridor were heard from the room, the shower turned from hot to cold without moving the tap.
When I made the reservation, I was never told that I would be charged a parking fee for my vehicle! I will NOT use them again!
The issue regarding my booking problem was resolved quickly and efficiently. I was impressed that the staff phoned me and explained to me the reason causing the confusion. She was patient and very helpful.
Easy to use and fast interface. Got a room in Ancona Italy for my upcoming trip. Price was fair. Hotel looks good. Lots of pictures.
Would not give a military rate. After booking was told if something came up would not get any refund. Will never use this company again. Was lead to believe I was talking to motel until after booked. I give them a 1/4
Would have liked to have all resort taxes and resort fees add d in to the price, so there would be no surprises with additional costs once you arrive.
Dont ever use this site. I booked a non-refundable room for my stay in Paris, my card was charged and I received a confirmation but that meant nothing. Weeks later I received an e-mail that my my reservation was being cancelled because the site posted the wrong rate. This is a complete fraud. Dont ever use this site.
Great deal and speedy service! I would use GetARoom again and recommend to other travelers! Im glad I found the site after days and days of looking for the best deal.
Definitely will use this site again. Had the best Hotel rates by far. Had a question for customer service a little hard to find someone to speak with but everything else was good
I was trying to stay at a hotel in Los Angeles. I wanted to stay one night and park my car for 21 days. All I got was a room with no parking.
I was told one thing by them and then when I received my email it had a very different room and price. I requested and I was told I had a king size bed, they gave me a room with two full! He told me the king room was $125, than I was charged $155.00. I went over it all with the man I spoke with. I would NEVER use then again. Call hotels directly. I called and spoke to a supervisor today an I was told they would take 50%off the price
The GetARoom agent on the phone was very helpful and took the time to make sure that all the information was correct. The hotel said they were sold out, so decided to call GetARoom who found the 2 rooms we needed. First time using them for a booking, will definitely again.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
