To their credit, there is a voice on the other end of the phone, but they are not empowered to make any requests on behalf of the customer they just told me to wait a couple of days then call the property to ask for adjoining rooms. They have great pricing, so hope this reservation works out.
Great customer service. Chris assisted in getting me the best rate for my stay. I would definitely make reservation through this contact again.

I am a 67 year old senior citizen. The header for this site seems to be the direct site for the hotel you are booking. Very deceptive. They again decieve you by not tell you the fees they charge until you click the no refund box. Do not use this site. Fees are exorbitant.

I have called and talked to the Hotel and they said it was booked as 2 adults and I can add the child when I have arrived.

Room by construction at hotel, incessant noise. Nothing about construction in the information like most all other sites stipulate before purchase.

Dirty and very dated. Thin walls and loud halls. Toilet tank took 10 minuets to refill and there was no ceiling fan in the bathroom. There was a large hole in the carpet under the very loud air conditioner where the cement floor was exposed. No microwave or refrigerator. The front desk staff was not friendly. The kitchen staff and room service got our breakfast wrong and couldnt understand what was wrong with the order. We determined that they must have a different menu than the one in our room. Last but not least, we stayed there two nights and our room was never cleaned. We called the front desk to tell them and to order fresh towels. We were very disappointed with the whole experience and we plan not to return.

Know exactly what you are booking.
I booked a double queen suite as it was clearly stated on my receipt but when I checked into the hotel I ended up with 1 double bed. I'm not sure who was responsible for the error but if you are looking at trusting a site to help make you a reservation, this may not be it. We had three people in our party and so this was a big mistake. (gave a 1 star)
Update: customer service contacted me and apologized for the wording in the description. Apparently a double queen means one bed for double occupancy (2 people). It didn't help the situation that had already passed but I really did appreciate the customer service they gave when following up with my original review. Perhaps I will be open to try them again. (changing to a 3 star as a result)
The booking rate at Comfort Suites was very affordable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was lovely. The room that my partner and I received was spacious and more than accommodating.
Room was clean and property well maintained. Stephanie was friendly and had the breakfast room well stocked was there if you needed anything.It was great to start the morning with a good breakfast and friendly staff especially Stephanie.

I made a reservation through Getaroom for the Rafaello hotel in Chicago. I got an illness and was unable to travel. I contacted Getaroom to start a refund process, they said to ask the hotel. So I called hotel and the general manager purposefully ignored me. I spoke to other people working at the hotel and they told me that GM was aware of my calls but didnt want to speak with me. She just wanted to run the clock until it was the date of my checkin and it would appear that I was a no-show. She knew I was sick but purposefully avoided all my calls and emails. All the other employees felt bad for me but said they didnt want to go over her head. I contacted getaroom multiple times bc theyre the ones who had actually taken the money, relayed the situation, and the reps and managers said, not our problem, too bad. Literally. I was taken back. How can you have a contract with a hotel that purposefully avoids their patrons, a GM at that! And up until now, no one ever asked about how Ill I am. So sad. Im a human being, at least address my concern, a GM that avoids their patrons? Thats crazy. And Getaroom says, not aloud problem. Wow! Money in the trash for nothing. :( you dont treat people that way.
UPDATE ON 5/5/2018: they refunded me and sent me an apology email. So that was nice.
GetARoom found me what I wanted for a good price and in an expeditious manner/ Now I'm resenting (slightly) that I'm being asked to provide a description of at least 100 words which I don't have time to do. Shame on you!

The hotel I booked was disgusting! I spoke to the front desk about needing to cancel, they were very understanding and told me it wouldn't be a problem it would be refunded through the 3rd party I booked with! However it apparently was a big problem and I have called multiple times and cannot get the issue resolved. They are not helpful at all and I will never use them again!
When there was some confusion about my booking Getaroom quickly responded with a personal phone call and resolved the issue.
Good booking and hotel was great. Easy to use website and app. Will use again. Comparisons were helpful
It was easy enough to book a room through TripAdvisor, but I did not realize that they were a throughway for other third parties like GetARoom. All worked fine but nothing snazzy. I would like to have known it was not TripAdvisor actually booking the room for me (they are certainly big enough to have a bookings group under their umbrella!) rather than a third party.
My secretary booked thinking it was the hotel direct, but we realized it was Get A Room instead. Site appeared to be the hotel. Was charges about $40 fee in with taxes. I called 10 minutes after booking and tried to cancel, was told they could cancel but I still had to pay the entire amount ($169) as a fee. I threatened a bad review, she said "sorry, there is nothing I can do" NEVER use Get a Room!
Both the kayak.com and getaroom.com websites did not accept either of my payments. The error message stated it was a payment processing issue. I talked to three reps and finally got it sorted. We had to book one room at a time. The whole process took over an hour when it should have taken less than ten minutes. We did get a great rate.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
