2-Months Out--- I booked reservations on line for Embassy Suites Hilton, near Disneyland. The GetARoom site appeared to be Embassy Suite---No Place on the site was it disclosed they were a 3rd party. I booked my reservations assuming I was dealing directly with the Embassy Suite Anaheim----Not True--My parents paid for the Embassy Suite Hilton, Anaheim (*******). Only then did I discover my reservations were completed by a 3rd party. I requested a refund confirmation # R******* 1 was refused. I called back and canceled reservation given reference #*******. I was told they had already paid funds out for my reservation-----Not True---I spoke with (Kenny) in the finance department Embassy Hilton---I was informed there was No payment received from GetARoom the only payment received was from my Mom with her Visa card. I will be filing a complaint with BBB.

Buyer Beware

Stay away! I tried to change my reservation and they are unable to provide me the change in writing... I felt that at a minimum I could speak to a supervisor and despite SEVERAL calls, this never occurred. Do not book with them... it will cost you much more than the dollars you saved in TIME (and undoubtedly they will keep your money. Really awful organization.

I googled Comfort Inn Flagstaff and got a web site that said Comfort Inn, Flagstaff, had a picture of the hotel, a list of amenities, etc., and looked like the Comfort Inn web site. It wasn't. I made a reservation and later had to cancel. The Comfort Inn folks couldn't do it because it wasn't their reservation. They told me to go to getaroom.com. So I went there and cancelled it after much ado. Guess what. No refund. That lesson in internet Shanghai practices cost me $151.04. Experience is something you don't get until after you need it.

No receipt

Best Western Hotel in Macon, Ga refused to give me a proper receipt after my stay on 10/23/2018. Claimed only this site could do that, they also refused. This is a potential scam.
A confirmation receipt is not a receipt for an actual stay. Dishonest company. Property would also not give me a release for documents signed when signing in.

Dont use this company or Best Western

Disappointed
November 3, 2018

Did not realise we were being charged in USD even though the price was displayed as AUD. Consequently we had to pay a large International Transaction fee when paying by Credit Card.
Why advertise in AUD when you will be paying in USD?

Thieves. This company will lie to you on the phone and send you a complete different pricing via email. Talked to Ben booking a hotel in Honolulu, was told I had until midnight Honolulu time that day to cancel. Was assured this was total price, once I got my emailed receipt saw charges not included in reservation totaling over $200 per day. Called back to cancel within 3 hours and was told I could not cancel and called a liar. Will not let me listen to the recorded call. They ate liars. Terrible company. Avoid.

I made a reservation after thinking I was on the hote's site. After I received the confirmation email I realized it wasn't with the hotel AND found I out I accidentally booked the wrong date. When I attempted to change to the correct date I found out I couldn't make any changes and could not get a refund. Customer service would only tell me their first name, the supervisor was on lunch, wouldn't give me an extension, last name or email for her or her supervisor. Those are obviously red flags for a reputable company. Was sent an email that my issue was resolved and when I responded saying it wasn't, they said there are no changes made to reservations. I have a baby with lots of medical issues and has a life threatening disease. I was trying to have a night away from the kids to relax and have nownhave lost hundreds of dollars and added a ton of stress because of getaroom.com. We can't use the hotel the night I reserved it and this whole situation is very disappointing. So sad these companies prey on people like this. Have never wrote a review about any company, but will be doing so on every site I can and sharing on every social media about our incident.
Our issue was resolved after this review was written. They were great with customer service and refunded our money back by doing the right thing. They were very communicative and understanding.

Bon déroulement du début à la fin, je me questionnais par contre pour le montant en dollars canadiens, parce que décrit sur la commande en dollars américains et convertis ensuite; un peu de confusion, étant des résidents canadiens pourquoi mentionnez les dollars américains.

Security breached

I got someone else's reservation in my email address. So it showed me their full name their phone number their home address their email where they were staying that she was alone in the room and the date she was staying. Unbelievable security breach and I got absolutely no help from the support center. They put me on hold for 20 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor yet in the end I spoke to no one that could justify or explain this error. That is just one complaint about this company. I have another but won't even start

Memphis Hotel

I waited until I stayed at the hotel until writing this review. I would highly recommend getaroom. They were amazingly helpful and friendly with my booking on the phone and when I checked into the hotel I was given my choice of floors, not shoved in the corner like some other websites. I will defiantly use them again whenever I travel. Thanks so much they certainly made it easy.

Rip off!

Absolutely horrible! I was double charged and now I have to jump through hoops to try and get a refund. This has caused me a setback I was not planning on! Like many I live paycheck to paycheck. Spending the night at a Hotel was supposed to be a great getaway for a celebration. A treat for ourselves. My husband is on dialysis and not working. I just wanted he and I to have a special night. But now that special night has cost us twice what it should have. And with no more money coming in until Friday we are in a serious jam. Even if you have the extra money to throw away don't give it to these crooks. They claim "no fees" that is an absolute lie! At least $20 extra is what we were charged on top of what was stolen from us besides.

Conference

My first encounter was easy enough... (10/15/18)
My second encounter was so frustrating. I needed to change the dates for my conference. The guy was hard to understand and took so long I didn't even want to finish the transaction. (10/16/18)
My third encounter was pleasant. He was very helpful and understanding. (10/18/18 I think)

Missing reservation

I had an awful experience with GETAROOM.COM 4 days ago. I had a confirmed reservation in August and when I went to the hotel they could not find my reservation and I have to pay again even I have already paid it. I tried to get in touch, 10 minutes on the phone they did not do anything. Then they send me an email that they will call to the hotel, nothing have been done. The manager of the hotel has been told me, that they do not have a contract with getaroom.com. It was a third party company which I have never used. It was a nightmare. Stay away of Getaroom.com...

Will not use again.

Wrong hotel was booked and then when tried to correct wrong date was booked. Have tried to cancel and still no confirmation of cancellation.

Both my husband and I booked a room for the same vacation and needed to cancel one of them. They will allow you to cancel but you will not get your money back.

I did not realize I was booking with a third party & it was not revealed by the agent. I would not use this method to book a room. I cancelled the reservation. Very much disappointed & dissatisfied that you've charged my card & tied up my funds. I will not use you ever again.

Long story short... and we should have known better when they got me to pay up front, but we wanted to get to the hotel before the storm ( Michael) started dropping rain on us.
Total hotel cost through GetARoom. $206.00
Actual cost had we bought direct... $146.00
And yes. Both figures included the taxes.
You got it...$60.00 more by using GetARoom.
And when we booked, we actually thought we were booking direct with Homewood Suites.
(Not trying to be a total crybaby, we called them to have a chat, but after holding for a little over 20 minutes waiting on a supervisor to pick up, we hung up.
So, shame on me for being in a hurry. But shame on GetARoom for answering the phone with hotel reservations', and then sticking it to us.

So here is the fact... if you want to pay more for your hotel room, please call GetARoom.
