I've ordered several pairs of Rx glasses from EyeBuyDirect. Website is well-designed; love being able to upload a photo to see what they'll look like on my face; selection is great - too many to chose from! It took about 2 weeks from order to receiving them in the mail.
The last pair I got sat too low on my nose, sent them in for exchange, communication was great, but it's been several weeks since the exchange pair was ordered, haven't heard back yet/haven't received glasses. I'll update once this transaction is complete.

Of course its always a risk when ordering online that the glasses wont be exactly what you thought they were but they have a very easy customer service for exchanges. You get what you pay for. Mail order glasses aren't bad for a spare pair or two, but the lenses feel a little "off" from the fitting service you receive from your eye practitioner's office. The tech will mark where your main line of vision is on the lenses depending on your frames... I found that if you steer away from the style of glasses that you had professionally fitted, you may get that weird, dizzy feeling with your web orders.
You give the dimensions of the glasses very well, but usually, someone from the optical department marks on the lenses where your eyes are at, in order to place the bifocal. So, that is the major thing I am worried about. Other than that, I'm not sure where to return them in-case they arrive wrong.

The offer code FRESHYEAR, kept getting denied, and when it was finally "accepted", what should have been a 20% discount was ZERO PERCENT AT CHECK-OUT.
I'm writing their customer service to try and correct this, but if that doesn't work this will be the last time I order through this website.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
