I put down a $170 deposit with them to rent a car, but when I arrived at the airport the rental car company informed me they never received a confirmation. I had to find a different car company last minute, which was scary as many companies were already sold out. I called Economy Bookings several times but they were no help. I'm hoping Economy Bookings will reimburse my $170!

I prepaid for my rental car with a Visa Debit card but when I went to pick up the car at the airport they refused to give me the car. They said they don't except Visa debit. Left me stranded at the airport in tears. This makes no sense. They have refused to help on the day it happened and the multiple times I have requested my refund.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, in this case the amount is not refundable, because you did not have a credit card, and under the car rental supplier terms this is mandatory for picking up the car.
Never deal with United or SurPrice at Casablanka! The worst companies I meet. They give absolutely exhausted dangerous cars. The type of car could be another that you booked one. Repair wheel will be "not for repaire" for sure so during you trip you will have to buy new will at least one time.
Personal never answer for calls. And almost don't speak English.
They work together in kind of "franchising".

First-time renter with EconomyBookings, and I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism at the LaGuardia Airport location. Picking up the vehicle was simple and straightforward, and they agent brought the car around to us--it was a 2020 White Hyundai Elantra with about 2200 miles on it
I got my car on a Sunday morning at 6:30am. Took literally less than 5 mins. Attendants were nice. Car was in great condition, drove beautifully, and honestly was such a treat during this crazy time.
My wait time was 5 minutes tops. Including wait time I was in and out within 7 minutes.
Returning the car was even easier. All done within 3 minutes (which included me checking to be sure I didn't forget anything).
A great experience! I've never been disappointed by this place. Process was quick and easy. Adhered to social distancing which during these times is a plus for me. The vehicle was clean inside and out as well as in good condition.
Whenever I'm visiting Barcelona this is my go to rental location. From the courteous shuttle drivers to the rental agents and checkout the customer service is exceptional! This location clearly has great management be side they do an excellent job of accommodating customers without over selling additional services. Plus there is always a massive fleet of cars on site.
They are a scam! Do NOT book with Economy. I drove my friend 1.5 hours to the airport for him to get his rental. But you guessed it they wouldn't provide a vehicle for him due to lack of a credit card. On his printed receipt there was no evidence of this. Even though he was able to pay ahead and purchase full coverage insurance they wouldn't help him get a vehicle and no one was available to support. I eventually had to drive him 1.5 hrs back from the airport after he was unable to retain the vehicle he booked through economy bookings.
Since they don't have phone support, he had to email a request for refund which had a lead time of over 7 days. They never responded. They falsified documents saying he picked the vehicle up and i guess also said he returned a vehicle he never received. He never once got a response from their support team and they processed the charge in full. After disputing it with his bank after an investigation they said Economy sent proof that he was able to get the vehicle and used the service. Which is absolutely not true. Not only was one person inconvenienced but two in this story.

We booked a rental car online for pick up Queenstown Airport. When we arrived we realised we had top call a number (which wasn't answered the first two tries) and arrange a transfer to another location to pick up the car. The rental car company (Yes) then refused to acknowledge the insurance that economy bookings had sold us and charges us again saying we will need to apply for a refund. When I contacted Economy Bookings their response was "we should have read the terms and conditions"

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
