I rented a car through this company in November 2022.we were flying to Orlando for vacation and Hurricane Nicole came through the State of Florida and the Airporrt was shut down. We were unable to get to our destination as the airport was closed and no flights. I explained all of this to economy bookings and they refuse to give us our money back. They gave us a voucher which I've tried to use and it never seems to work. What a joke this place is, no empathy for people. I can only hope that others are treated better than myself. I will never again use their services. I am disgusted with their ideals and lack of care. Terrible company, heartless and evil.
You pay for full coverage. They tell you its full coverage. You're not covered. Money for bumper damage gets taken from your account. There's no way of contacting them. They hide. DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE TO BOOK THROUGH THEM

Be very careful with this company I will NEVER rent anything throug them again ever!,I am a frequent traveler so thank you. You guys lost a customer. I purchased a rental & it asked if I wanted to $#*! insurance, which I did then at the end of the booking it also said I didn't owe anything at the counter it never said I was going to be charged and extra $600 FOR ADDITIONAL INSURANCE! I tried reaching out to them & they are so rude, unprofessional & have no empathy for the customer. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said NOPE WE ARE NOT AN AMERICAN COMPANY! Lol that was funny so that meant I was stuck with the representative that was extremely not helpful & ended up hanging up on me because ofcourse I was in all my rights to be upset. You know what it is for someone to be traveling on a budget, pay the full amount due for a rental owing $0.00 according to their website then being charged another whole $600 with no explanation of any kind., because they could have prepared the customer & advice them that once they arrived to the their destination they would have to pay an addiditonal $600 for more insurance. That was very wrong of them & worst when their customer service had no empathy or explanation for this.

Paid for booking of car and when we went to pick up we were told we did not need a credit card due to pick up being at the airport. Car company denied pick and economy booking STOLE our money and will not give us back the money. This was not our fault! They say they are "investigating it" but it is all lies. Over $300 stolen. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We booked through your site with Europcar Mexico for Jan 2-8,2023.
The information and policies we were given were extremely incomplete. When we arrived, we found out that the car insurance wasn't included in what we paid on EconomyBookings, so I have no clue what the $70 insurance we did pay for was. On top of what we already paid, the basic insurance that Europcar asked for included a deposit of $13,333 and was about $70 per day. I couldn't put down that deposit, so the next plan was a $600 deposit and $150 per day! It is a ridiculous price that was not shown to us anywhere. They also have ridiculous fees for things as simple as the tank being slightly under where it was left. If it is even a little under, it is a $300 penalty, plus more per liter. Even worse, we couldn't get a refund on what we had paid to EconomyBookings because of the cancellation policy, and Europcar said they hadn't received any money from us. So where did our $300 go? So we cancelled, lost the money, and discourage anyone from using EconomyBookings or Europcar.
We did not get the refund, waited in Europcar at least one hour and a half at least, and the customer service was not completely interested in helping us.
If you dont want to have a terrible experience do not get this option.

I rented a car in Martinique. Car was fantastic. Airport pickup was very disorganized, not well communicated, and took a long time. Criticism is that, on return, I was informed there was a 60 Euro cleaning charge because there was some sand in the footwells. I accept this for excessive cleaning but it was not in this case. This had the effect of increasing the rental cost by 50%.

Below is an extension of their poor business practises. (SCAM) You publish a review/complaint and they generate this computer generated reply that misleads people (you the reader) that they are sorry and want to investigate the issues.
Then as their normal practise, they never get back to you. Contacted them again and again with no reply. Notice no name attached. Just "Support Team".
This is border line fraud and this company needs to be stopped.
I'm surprised Dollar Car Rental company (Hertz) uses this company as their agent.
Never rent from this company. They are based overseas where it's difficult to file a lawsuit and make them accountable.

Booked a car for 8 days and did not have credit card on the day of pick up as my account was temporarily blocked due to suspicious activity/hacking on the same day. I called their customer service to add my friend's name on the rental, so we can use her credit card for the deposit as it was FULLY-PAID already but I was told that they cannot do anything to help me but offered to assist for a new booking instead. Like totally disregarding my concern and my fully-paid reservation. I did not get to pick up the car and I refused to book another reservation thru them.
I had emailed them thrice asking for a refund but I was told that I cannot get my money back. This Company has an ODD policy close to being the biggest SCAM and does not offer decent service to Customers. Stay away from this Car rental. I booked thru Priceline and i will personally write to their CEO about this, so they won't have them in their site.

Our car rental from Tampa airport, was quoted in Canadian dollars. The vehicle, and the Thrifty service desk in Florida were great. Our credit card was charged more than we were quoted, with no upgrades or explanation. Customer Service at Economy Bookings, failed to provide an explanation, or deal with the over billing. Would not use Economy Bookings again, or recommend them to anybody else.

Its easy. You book and pay for your rental and its done. You show up at the car rental desk with your paid rental voucher and they have to give you the car. You are in the same lane with the people who rent directly from the car company and they have to honor the voucher. It has been always cheaper to book it thru Economy Bookings. No hassle and we save some money
NOT USE this company.
We were to arrive at 1pm and pick up a rental from Payless car rental at the Portland airport.
Our plane arrived late and we arrived at the counter at 5pm
Payless counter rep found the reservation and confirmed they had plenty of cars.
However, economybookings had a block on the reservation. We contacted them via phone and they claimed that Payless had denied the booking and they could do nothing. This was said in front of the Payless counter agent. The counter agent, hearing this, asked the economy booking rep to un block the reservation and they would rent us the car. The economy rep hung up on us.
We got a rental car thru Payless and made a complaint to out credit card company. By the way, Payless are mgr continued to try and open the blocked contract through the next 24 hours.
75 days later we got a response from Economy. Their letter to our complaint read "we could not honor the clients rental due to issues beyond our control". Vague and a total lie.
We have re initiated our complaint and are looking at a class action suit for deceptive business practices.
DO NOT book a rental through this off shore sham. We will update here with a copy of their responses and any ideas on how to respond.
We are also making complaints to the consumer protection agency, as well as master card, Bank of America, and will be noticing AAA and The ARP.
We intent to alert every contact we can.
By the way, our contract was for $403.00. Economybookings normal fee is less than 10% on a booking. They didn't pay Payless a dime, instead keeping the whole fee. They are a scam

Scam! Dont book with EconomyBookings,3.5months later they still owe me 1500€ from the full car insurance.I sent all the documents for the claim 3.5 months ago, they said in the receipt it would take 10 business days and after emailing them 20times with no reply, calling them 4 times they cant give me any information or phone number of the insurance department.

Don't use this service! I've booked a prepaid for 18 days! And have bought a full coverage insurance. On pick up point in Malta I couldn't get the car because I had to pay plus 450 € for insurance, because I didn't have a credit card. I wanted to cancel to refund rather half of payment, but they don't return any! I've lose my money and get only message "When you complete the reservation, you have read, understood, and agreed to the Cancellation and Non-refundable Policy disclosed during the process of booking, therefore, you accepted and agreed to the transaction, made the reservation and received confirmation." But for example bookingeconomy could return half because I didn't use my order at all. They even didn't offer me discount of next booking! I totally fractured and angry about this service. I don't recommend to use it. Better to rent a car directly

When you made the booking you have agreed to the rental terms. On each booking step we show the information about required documents at the counter. The Non-Refundable Policy is disclosed on the checkout page, before the made a transaction.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund on this occasion.

Made a reservation for rental car in PHX for 12/23-12/27. Winter storm arrived in our city (Portland) on 12/23. All flights in/out were cancelled and air travel is still a mess. Unable to travel for obvious reason. Emailed company that day to cancel. Co responded on 12/27 that they won't refund $$ because I didn't cancel soon enough. Cancelled the same day that trip became impossible to take due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. Ridiculous policy with no exception for unforeseen circumstances. No savings in rental fees is worth dealing with a company like this. There are other better and reputable companies out there. Beware.

I attempted to book a rental back in June of 2022. Upon "confirming" I cancelled the order within 10 min of pressing the "booking" button because I needed to change the times. Economy bookings IS and does advertise refunds for rentals up until a certain point. But, weirdly, my initial booking never was sent to me and I was never given a confirmation for that initial booking. I was still charged for it and never refunded even though I did cancel it - I emailed several times just to get a refund for that I totally cancelled reservation. First time I was told they couldn't find the reservation in the system. Then they ghosted me. Tried to dispute it through credit card company and economy bookings apparently told them that they don't do refunds for "picked up" reservations even though it was never picked up, and two a magic confirmation number appears even. After I was told there wasn't one. They still refuse to refund me the money and continue to ignore me.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
