We booked a rental through this company. Paid in full in advance. Had confirmation number from company and from Thrifty. Showed up and no car. Called for help. No help given - automatically sent to an email address to apply for a refund to which a response will come in 7 to 10 business days. I just want the car that I paid for. That's why I rented one. Terrible ethics and no responsibility for overbooking. Brutal.
I prepaid for a one week rental in Mexico with insurance included. I paid through Economy Bookings. When I got to the rental counter (Europcar) they refused to provide me the car unless I paid an additional $600 for insurance. I tried to reach Economy Bookings by phone but no one was available. I had to walk to another rental car company in the middle of the night in Mexico. Economy Bookings did not respond to my email complaint for more than 10 days, despite repeated inquiries. I finally received a response saying the matter had been resolved and they were unable to do anything to refund my money.

Very scam agency. After we paid for a a car full insurance, and call them to verify and they say there is a full insurance from the car rental agency, when we arrived to Bulgaria to pick up the car they claimed we don't have any insurance, and when we called Economy booking they denied everything they say and writen in the contract. And made as pay another 70 euro. Suddenly It become the most expensive option.

Take a good precaution before using economybookings.com - I tried it - send money in advance and suprisingly there was NO car prepared for us. We have to rent another car from company in-place, which was not only slightly more expensive, but they also stop communicating with me. Ignoring all the emails and tries for a resolving this issue.
It's almost 2 months now, I haven't seen my money I've paid them since then. I really do not recommend this company. I wrote them 2 emails explaining what happened to me - just an autogenerated reply and no effect.

We return the car with a full tank of gas I believe this company is charging too much money on the outside I paid $32 fuel the tank up they charge me $52 return it for I returned it with a half a tank I believe I should be reimbursed some money. Never sign up for their return full tank always top it off yourself.

My experience with Economybookings.com was frustrating. Upon arriving at Los Angeles airport, I was told by the Thrift car rental company that the $850 I had prepaid for 23 days was not accepted and I had to pay an additional $350. The website's cheap prices were not honored at the rental location. Despite trying to reach Economybookings in the late evening after a long flight, their phone went unanswered. I was forced to pay the extra fee as the payment was non-refundable. I strongly recommend researching and contacting the rental company directly and avoiding third-party involvement to avoid a similar experience. STAY AWAY TO PREVENT GETTING TRAPPED.

They wouldn't refund my money for a service I didn't even use! Their recording says no worries if you don't pick up your car we will take a small amount. They took all 800 and won't refund! Please find someone else to use. Try getting ahold of someone and they only respond by email on these issues and told me no refund! Terrible service and terrible experience

I rented a car in October 2022 and it had a small scratch on return that the rental company wanted to claim for. My full coverage insurance through EconomyBookings should have covered this. I sent all the documentation and photos within a week. I have sent many emails asking for an update of the case, yet I still have not received my insurance payout.

I'm a foreign military I rented through economy bookings and I paid 1800$ for a car that I didn't get from " thrifty " because my last name on my debit card is one letter different from my driving licence, I didn't know that was a big deal coz in my country that's fine.
I called economy bookings for a solution after I went back and forth with thrifty trying to find a way coz I was stuck in " DFW " without a car and they said we can't do anything coz the time of your rent already started and the only way is to email their support team.
I sent a very clear email and they replied after a week putting all the blame on me saying I'm not there on time and I didn't have money on my credit and I didn't bring documents! And that's not true coz I provided everything.
They showed ZERO appreciation and didn't try to help at all! Like yes I know you have a policy but I didn't receive the car because I didn't want to its just that things took a unexpected turn.

I booked a car on economybooking to have it for 24h in Marseille fro a wedding. Rental cost 350€ which is quite huge for 24h...
We had planned 1h to collect the car.
When we arrived at the rental company, Avis, there was a big queue. I called economybooking to inform them that it was risky. They said, it will be ok.
We expected it to move but after 20 minutes still no significant progress. I then called economybooking again and told them that the rental was not going to work and that, as there was no other solution, I would have to cancel it and take a taxi. The customer service told me to send an email which I did.
Luckily, we got a taxi, 50 minutes after arriving at the rental company. There was still a big queue. Taxi costed us 200€.
For the last 6 months, I have sent many emails to get refund as we have not used the rental and the service was not the one planned. No possibility to talk with customer service.
Economybooking changed their mind and don't want to refund. So, don't go there.
When you are a site linking renters with rentals, the least is to take responsibility when issues happen...
P.S: Their policy states:
"REFUND REQUEST
If you didn't pick up your rental car, please contact us at *******@bookinggroup.com and specify the reason." so why are they WAITING? They just want us to give up but we won't...

I booked through Economy for a corolla in Queenstown and received an upgrade on arrival to a landcruiser. Was also given the choice of a Rav4. Took the cruiser and it was awesome for the long trips out of Queenstown in hot weather. And for driving up the gravel roads to go see the views. The counter was right next to the baggage carousel at Queenstown airport and it's only a short walk to the carpark. Although the counter was a bit hard to ID at first because it is also under Enterprise. During the week I sent my son in to get on the driver's list and it was simple, especially since I didn't need to go in to be there too. Great service and cheaper to book through Economy than through any other rental company.
I've used them a few times in the past with no problem but am now having a major problem with no resolution after nearly one month. I used economy bookings to rent a car with thrifty at Denver airport on Dec 28 2022. The booking was fully prepaid for $246.00. When I arrived at the Thifty desk they said it wasn't paid for- I showed them my confirmation email from Economy Bookings and they said their system showed it was not paid. I had no choice but to pay for my rental again with Thrifty directly (interestingly this only cost $222 - suggest you look at the car rental company's price before booking through EB).
As of now I am still waiting for resolution. They say there is a need for more of an inquiry, but it is a very simple matter - they charged me and didn't pay the rental company, leaving me to pay for the rental twice.
Meanwhile I arrived in a heavy snowstorm and because it took about 90 minutes for me to deal with this at the rental desk I had to drive in very treacherous conditions, as well as dealing with a treacherous booking company!

My wife and I agreed to rent an inexpensive car at the Orlando Airport. For 7 days. We purchased the "FULL COVERAGE OPTION" for insurance coverage which was acknowledged by their email on 1/20/2023 in writing.
Upon arrival at the Orlando affiliate office, we were told that we "ALSO NEEDED TO PURCHASE MORE INSURANCE" and we were required to make an previously undisclosed cash deposit of $300.00 for a one day car rental (reservation # B*******). We canceled the 7 day rental on the spot and only then rented the car for one day to get to our hotel having arrived by air at 8 PM.
I then tried to contact economy bookings by phone10 times on 1/22/2023, their web site, and their so called "support" site for which no one is available at all by phone at all according to their sale line.
I strongly recommend that NO ONE USE ECONOMY BOOKINGS.COM to rent a car whatsoever. I am sure I will never get any acceptable resolution of this matter and I will have to simply swallow having been scammed by this company. Call TURO.com - a much more legitimate service for affordable rental cars.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
