Whether you're dealing with these folks as Economybookings.com or Bookinggroup.com, do not hit 'enter', 'confirm', 'pay now', or anything remotely resmbling a commitment to give them ANY of your money.

I've been double-charged by them and Fox Rent a Car for a 4-day rental. I was initially quoted $18/day. It was indeed too good to be true. Almost $400 later in combined charges, most of which have been explained away as 'fees', I'm now stuck in the Customer Service abyss, with my inquiries ultimately just being ignored. I was charged 2 late fees, even though I returned the car an hour before my reserved return time. I've spoken and emailed with Fox at least 3 separate times each, and each time I'm deflected back to Economy bookings, saying the problem was my agreement with them. All Economy has done is forward the emails I've been sending their way on to Fox, and failing to respond directly.

I have been after them for over 2 months and 10 days now for a response, and I'm getting nothing. After taxes, my agreed total payment was just shy of $125. I've been overcharged by more than 100%.

My experience was ok with this company. Value for money. Good car. Clean.
Can had 3 damages originally but they were not good market on the copy of the Check out/in statement... This should be properly noted and market.
Felt not comfortable at drop off.
Also took long time (over 30 min) to do and also was not sure about the return of the 1500 euro deposit. Person at desk was friendly to me but for sure not in control. In about 30 min he would return the deposit to my creditcard, he said. Had to trust on this. Also he should charge extra 56 euro for the drop off at another airport as original but I did not get any receipt or prove of this.
Car and price good, service should improve!

The pick up and drop off was very simple. The bus service very quick and easy and the fact that the bus service is free is good as no hidden extras there.
The car was in good condition and easy to find and drop off and pick up easy - no fuss.
The only thing I found annoying was the 'sell' on adding additional cover when I picked the car up. I think it wold be better to advertise this online so there are no hidden extras - the man I dealt with on pick up said that given the weather (freezing) that any mishap could happen and I kind of got guilt tripped into forkiing out a further £11 per day for additional insurance to bring the excess down to £250 intead of £1000 - something not made entirely clear when booking online

Generally Economybookings.com were the most competitive price and our rental at Stuttgart airport could not have been better. We were booked with Economybookings but they operate with SIXT (who would have been more expensive) and were given a free upgrade to a brand new Mercedes. But back to economybookings.com - I was making 2 bookings with economybookings.com and because German car rental operators do not allow rentals if the main driver does not have a credit card I had to change the bookings which meant cancelling them and remaking them. I had phoned customer services to do this who were extremely helpful picking up on date errors I had made when rebooking the car and providing email quotes for the second car with quick payment links. An error with rentalcars.com's system meant one of my original booking did not get cancelled properly so on arriving at Stuttgart airport SIXT cars were expecting us to take 2 cars. I was concerned that I would be charged a cancellation fee for this, but on contacting economybookings.com customer services they looked into this and assured me they would make sure a full refund would be given and have tracked the case to ensure this has been done without the need for me to chase them and they have provided me with updates on the refund process throughout. So although the cancellation process did not run quite smoothly I could not have asked for better customer service in sorting this out

This was probably the most hassle-free car rental experiance I have ever had, and I have had a lot over the years. The car I requested was available, and I was also given the chance to chosse and alternative vehicle from another 3 which were available. I stuck with my original choice and the car was excellent. Can't honestly come up with any complaint whatsoever - a great all-round experiance and will certainly be my company of choice for future car rental.

This was the best car renting experience I have had. From the helpful customer service reps assisting with making the reservation to the people at the rental centers, we had all positive experiences. We did not experience any "surprise" charges or high pressure upsales. The car was was very new and ran great. Turning in the car, in a different country, even went without a hitch. I positively would use this sight again, hands down. Thanks for a great experience!

I booked using economy bookings and when I booked a car, it clearly told that I need not pay anything at the time of pickup.
It again sent a confirmation mail which said the same thing - nothing to pay at pickup of the car.
And then when I went to pick up the car, I had to pay 40% more as taxes at pick up. I called up the customer service and they said that in the coupon voucher in a small section at the corner, it is written that you may have to pay taxes at pickup.
Dhhh... it looks like those * at the end of commercials which look too good to be true.
Do not book using these, if you do, read each and every line of the items that get sent to you.
BTW, they are probably based in Latvia, so if you want to dispute, good luck with that:-)

It was a pleasure to deal with this company. From the moment of booking to pick up and drop off I was provided with excellent service. I booked the car a lot in advance, about half-year before going to California, and during this period I needed to ask economybookings.com questions regarding my booking and got answers within an hour after I sent them by email, which was surprisingly fast. As for the rental itself, I did not have to wait at the Alamo desk at the Los Angeles airport, because there was no queue and the staff was very helpful. The car was almost new – 7,000 mls mileage – clean and in great condition. I would recommend this company to anyone.
