I asked for a Nissan or Toyota and was talked into a Kia. When I went to get the car it was a different car in the spot. I went back to the desk and was told it was a human mistake. I now need another car so they have me a Kia Sorrento. I did not know it was AWD. The gas was $39.45 for 1/2 tank. The car was brand new with less than 1000 miles. Overall an ok experience.
I have used a major company for years to get the best pricing for car rentals and hotels. Just recently when searching for a good price on a rental car, I discovered Economy Bookings. The price they quoted undercut all the other companies considerably. I was a little dubious, but went ahead with the rental. Needless to say, I have been using Economy Bookings ever since, and am recommending them to all of my associates.
I booked a car and added the Full Coverage policy, I had a small incident for which I was overcharged but after months from the submittal of the case, they never got back to me and is impossible to reach their "customer service". I was able the get in touch only once and only to be told that they received my mail but nobody ever read them.
I cancelled my booking four (4) months in advance and they would not refund my full amount. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. I could understand if it was closer to pick up date that they wouldn't refund my money; but it was FOUR months in advance. I got another car for much cheaper thru Hotwire.
This is a good way to rent. I still have not got the final invoice. We will see if the price holds. We did not have anything extra.
Your agents were very helpful just one thing you should be extended your hours of operation in the USA because of a time frame. I lost my original reservation but the service with the rental company was fine original and later with the other company the agents were very nice thank you for processing my refund in the time you guys told me thank you and I will use your service again I had a great time with the car my familiy was happy we enjoy the rides.

Dont use these guys! Completely misled as to the true costs of renting a car with GoldCar Tenerife who then attempted to add charge after charge on top of what had been paid through web, including more insurance than I had already booked. Gold Car then said they had no way of knowing what EconomyBookings would charge, and local charges were necessary at picking up. I cancelled and they refused to honour their cancellation process. Then were wholly indifferent to my repeated inquiries to reimbursement following cancellation. STAY AWAY!
I initially was worried about booking a car and having to pay at the booking instead of when I picked up the vehicle as I always have before... but, the price was less than half so I chanced it. Everything was fine - the car was through Dollar car rental at the airport and booked through Economy Bookings. The actual vehicle had a few issues but the people were nice and the getting of the car was as fast as the line would allow. I ended up having to extend my stay by 24 hours due to flight cancellation and I was able to reach someone on the phone without any hassel and they didn't charge me any additional fees. I thought it was great.
We dont have a option to inform on booking process that we will cross a country border, this has cost me extra 72 euros for a week. I was charged 25 euros for a fuel policy that a didnt had the chance to choose. So, because of a unclear booking process of economy bookings i had a extra cost of 97 euros per a week of rental, 2x the price i was expecting to pay when a i booked the car! I would never rent a car with ecnonomybookings again!
Be aware you will be charged a $45.00 agent fee, for booking a car reservation. It will not appear on the screen during the booking process. You will also prepay your car rental fee.
Slight flight delay meant that i arrived at the rental desk 30 minutes after pickup time. It took 15 minutes for the rude staff at the airport to announce that my booking had been canceled and that was it. Never ever again.

When i booked the rental car, they automatically added "car protection" for $9.00. I never would have chosen anything like that. When i to complain they said that they are added automatically and you have to catch it to remove it. It was very sneaky. I will never use them again.
The vehicle I rented, a Jeep Compass, was apparently almost brand new. It included some new features unfamiliar to me, including the heating/cooling controls and other conveniences. One feature, though, was something of a source of concern -- although it always worked perfectly, once I understood it! That was, for fuel savings and environmental benefit, the engine stops after you have stopped at a light, etc. for perhaps about a minute. It starts up again automatically when you remove foot from brake pedal to begin to move forward again. Until you understand this, it can be "worrisome"! A comment of explanation by the agent before departing might be helpful.
I booked a car rental through Economy Bookings for $8 per day yesterday for a 3 day rental in Los Angeles. I called to cancel within 24 hours due to a family emergency. They canceled my reservation and when I asked if there was a fee, he said yes, there would be a $37.50 fee. Anywhere else, this fee would have been waived with a less than 24 hour cancellation but because you are dealing with a less than reputable car rental company renting their cars through Thrifty, they can hide behind that they are a foreign company and treat you like dirt if you need to cancel. I will NEVER rent from this fraudulent company again!
When I made my 12 day booking, the website offed "full coverage collision insurance for $75.00. I bought it. When I arrived at the Thrifty Rental at DFW to pick up the car they said that this "full coverage" was an Economy Bookings scam. It only reimbursed up to $1500. That wouldn't cover a fender, so I went ahead and bought the $28/day real collision coverage. I immediately tried to call Economy Bookings to get a refund and after being on hold and many line transfers, it asked if I wanted to pay for an international call to Latvia. Thrifty said every Economy Bookings customer complains about them and nothing gets resolved. I explained the situation and asked for a $75. Refund on their website and they said no. Even the rental car company said they were scammers! Beware!
Very professional service, very polite and courteous. Service with a smile! I didn't need to ask any questions because she explained to me everything I needed to know, all I had to do was go to the car and leave. Didn't have any issues with the car during my stay. When I returned the car it was very fast and simple.
Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
