Easirent is anything but easy. Nightmare from beginning to end. Booked car hire through EB. Misleading info from emails as to where pick up and drop off is. Me and my 9yr old son got collected from Shannon airport and taken to a multi storey car park miles away from the airport. The bloke took ages with all the paperwork and then tried to charge me £2900 on my card in order that I could use my own insurance. My card was declined as not enough credit limit. He then tried to charge me to use their own insurance which in total along with the car was over £370 yet only paid £100 for the car for a week. In the meantime my son got scared that we would not make it home and started crying. In total I was behind on my journey by 2 hours. By this stage told him stick his car and take me back to the airport. Rented a car from Hertz which took about 10-15mins in total and collected the car without any problems outside the airport. DO NOT book any car hire with easirent(via EB) and AVOID at all cost. Much better to hire at airport with car outside rather than being sent on a wild goose chase to the middle of no where.
I do not recommend renting a car through this company to anyone. You have no way of reaching their customer representatives, and they do not respond to your emails or calls in any way. Despite purchasing additional insurance and reporting the damage I experienced, they have not refunded me for weeks. I will certainly file complaints with every place I can, but if you don't want to deal with these issues, stay away from this company.

Made a reservation 2 weeks prior. At the counter, they refused to accept my car insurance and demanded to purchase their insurance at exorbitant price. Stay away from EconomyBooking

UPDATE 24.10.2023: Economy Bookings have replied requesting more docs and a promise to reply.
I sent them a claim with all possible details and docs available and more than one reminder to contact me back for almost a month. Not even a decent reply, only automatic replies, despite their promise on their own website to contact customers within a few days. Disappointing and disgraceful service and not recommended.

SCAM! AVOID!
Rented a car for a trip in Egypt through them and added the full coverage insurance. An incident happened but the car rental told me they do not recognize the insurance and I have to pay for the damage and deal with the insurance myself, so I did.
First: filing a claim is super hard
Second: They ask for really odd things to file the claim such as my proof of flying there!
Third: I filed the claim in early August and all what I got from them until today (October 20) is we are still investigating. Noting that I provided every bit of information they asked for, multiple times!

Paid £90 hire for a lancia for 3 days total, got there refused to accept credit card would only take debit card so they can scam you.
Dropped the car off, numerous people complaining about the same thing as we were just about to experience, charged 511 euros plus the initial hire. When it came time to refund us the deposit for the car they refused to.
No damage to the car
Fueled back to full
Just absolute scam artists.
Save yourself the holiday spoiler and use a proper company like europcar or hertz, youll pay a bigger deposit but youll get refunded!

They don't even deserve one star in my opinion. My family had plan a big trip to Maui during August of this year. As we all know there was a massive forest fire, everyone of the thing that we had to cancel refunded us our money no issues. No not economy booking they said contact they refund department though email and wait 30 days. So we did not a single email response not one. Called back to the booking agent just to tried and get some help or answers,one of the ladies was so rude she hung up on me another time I called back they said they would put the info on the file I think they just say this to get you off the phone. Said give it another week and remains the refund department with another and wait still nothing. Called back again as I was instructed by agent as to speak to a supervisor or someone who might help me was informed that they don't speak to customers. It has been over two months and still no email response from the refund department. I would avoid this place at all cost. It is disgusting that when you are not allowed to travel to your destination you get no help and they don't even car as long as they got their money.

Most complaints about this car hire are that it is not in the Terminal, which is clearly described in their T&Cs.
The staff arrived at the scheduled time at the established pick up point very punctually. The Car Rental Office is 10 minutes away and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. The Car was great and we had no issues at all throughout the week car hire. At the office I had to provide 1,000€ guarantee in case of an accident, which I didn´t understand too much as I had contracted insurance but these monies were unblocked within 24 hours of returning the car. Returning the car was easy and quick and the shuttle was almost immediate to the airport. No complaints and would definitely recommend.

1- The company is located in Europe and only has a call center.
2- I rented a car through the website, and upon arrival to pick up the car, the rental location informed me that the full coverage insurance only covers the car I rented and does not cover the other party. I was told that I needed to purchase additional insurance to cover the other party.
After I had a minor accident on the side fender, when I went to return the car, they told me that I had to first pay the amount that the rental office would request. After completing the repair, I had to provide about 5 documents, including letters, receipts, and a police report. They also mentioned that the maximum amount paid would be only $1,500, as stated in the email they sent, although I hadn't noticed this detail in the email. When I returned to the email, I found that they had written it in very small font, and to this day, three months later, I have not been provided with the amount.

They (EconomicBooking + Thrifty) took your full payment but no rental car was provided due to flight delay. The flight was from Toronto to Newark. And the rental car payment was for 6 days. When I come to Thrifty counter in my next flight for the car, they told me the reservation was cancelled but can have a new rental without refund the money from my current booking. This is unjust business practice by any terms.

Simply proceed the car rental on web, good price. I'm luck without any accident, so not able to comment the insurance coverage. The mobile app is no good, just for quote and not full function, need to work on web portal.

We rented a vehicle for the first time with this company. We were not disappointed. The location was Albuquerque, NM. Our flight was a late arrival and they ran out of the SUV we booked. We were upgraded at no charge to a luxury SUV. The service desk was efficient, swift & very helpful. When returning the vehicle, we just pulled in, unloaded and walked away. The staff handled everything. Very smooth and excellent value for the dollar. Very pleased. Thank you.

Just be aware that EconomyBookings is like a search engine, and although it can find great deals it may also find rental companies that are not good. I recommend researching the brands that are coming up in search results to see how others' experiences went with them, and not choosing the absolute cheapest options. When you do this research don't be overly critical though, remember that people will always be quick to write complaints but forget to make positive reviews. I went with a company Noleggiare and it was perfect.
We booked a rental car with economy bookings, and the rental car place Green Motion in Tampa airport decided they were going to close early and told us we were not getting a car. When we tried to get a refund and complain through Economy Bookings, they said we have to send them an email, and couldn't do it over the phone. Very poor customer service!

I have used economy a few times and everything is usually ok. However this time we had more money to fork out on arrival (this was in addition to the printed voucher price and what we budgeted for). I contacted Economy on return to the UK, almost a month ago and still no reply. On the grounds of this I would be avoiding sending business there way.

My partner and I were traveling to Sedona for a wedding a renting a car for a weekend. Unfortunately I lost my drivers license right before the trip, so I wanted to have my partner rent the car. Economy bookings would not allow any changes on the reservation, even though Avis who the car was through said usually it's no big deal to change this. The EB against even lied to me and told me this was Avis fault, but when I put him on the phone with the Avis agent it became clear it was Economy bookings issue that they refused to help make any changes. To make matters worse it was a busy weekend and Avis was sold out of all other cars so we couldn't even just rebook. We spent over two hours trying to get this resolved and ended up spending twice as much to rent a car. The agent also promised me a refund for my original reservation and today I received an email stating that they would not provide me a refund. This company is so shady and unreliable! Avoid at all costs!

This company are modern day thieves ie they take your rental fee from a Debit Card but you don't get me car if you don't have a Credit Card? Please don't rent from them! And no Refunds either
Luckily Hertz do accept Debit Card on car pick up

When we booked our reservation, it was a total of $108.81. Upon arrival to the counter, we were charged $224.71. When I asked why? She stated that it was taxes? I contacted your customer service who gave me the email to report this. I have yet to hear from anyone. I want my refund from Dollar and your agent said you would take care of it. Please let me know where the breakdown is. I am becoming very suspicious about this website at this time.

Comparing prices, asked me for CC details before a final quote (my stupidity), charged my card before giving me a total. Found out after I had paid an extra $92 for 'full coverage' which doesn't even cover the hire companies insurance requirements The actual car company said the coverage Economy bookings charge is useless and totally unnecessary. I tried to cancel the booking but got the run around for so long the booking past it's 'pick up' time so therefor could not be cancelled. The help line were useless and scripted. I ended up going direct to the car hire company and booking through them. Paid for actual car insurance/coverage. 3. weeks later after many email and phone calls, Economy Bookings finally got back to me and said I won't be getting a refund, quoting terms and conditions and legal rights and responsibilities. Horrible start to our holiday. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. As the actual car hire company said, go directly to them, don't use booking platforms.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
