Booked a car for 10 days. When arrived at airport car was told the insurance and rate were much more. I returned the car in 5 days and still had to pay double the quote. This is a scam company run by unethical cons. Do not use. Instead, book direct with rental company

I cancelled my reservation on Sept. 6th. I paid for cancellation Ins. It is now October 10th and still have not had my credit card of 883.00 returned to me.
If you read ALL their reviews they are a company who are third party and my problem is not new.

I received email from Economybookings stating:
Your booking B******* for a total sum of 1070.79 SGD (726.33 EUR) at Chitose Airport, Japan has been cancelled.
However, my credit was charged Euro. I had tried to contact economybookings and no reply nor feedback.

The booking process was nice and easy. Everything was exactly as described on the web site. The car rental company staff was helpful and super professional. The car was clean and good. All in all, it was a very nice experience and will likely book it again if we ever go to Cyprus on another occasion,
The car was fine but I was cheated by the Maggiore agent at the airport to purchase extra-insurance for nearly ~30 Euro/day (total: Euro 195!) to cover for deductible and other hazards while my "full coverage" insurance (purchased online with economy bookings) already covered it ALL! Of course I was dumb, but they should know better and not try to cheat you just to make more money. Shame on them!

The website has customer support numbers for many countries.
I find my country Israel, call and they tell me, we only speak English and do not speak Hebrew.

My wife booked a rental car with Economy Bookings in July. When she landed, the rental car company informed her that they were overbooked and that she would have to wait at least 6 hours to get her car. She could not and would not wait that long, so someone gave her a ride, thank goodness. However, the true nature of Economy Bookings came out after we tried to get a refund of the nearly $400 we paid to book the car. They will tell you that they are "investigating" the incident, which, they say, will take 28 days. It is now October, and we still have not heard the results of their "investigation." I have tried 3 different times to contact them and get a refund, but you can never speak to a live person (it's all an automated system). Their only response is the same canned email I received to supposedly start the first "investigation."
Absolutely fraudulent and terrible company! Avoid at all costs!

I had bad expereicne with this company booking and their customer service.
I had booked a car on 30 Sep 2023 at Toronto airport.
My booking is not included CWD insurance according to their rental agreement, as such, I have to buy the CWD from the rental car company when I pick up the car. However, the insurance of CWD offered from the rental car company is overpriced. The car rental for 29 days is USD1014, but the rental car company additional charge me the CWD insurance additional USD1500 for this period. I considered this price is not reasonable and refuse their offer.
I did not pick up the car finally and sent an email to report the case to the customer service and request refund. But I did not recevie their reply for until today.
The customer service till 30 Oct 2023 still do not provide any feedback and refund to me. It must be a scam and I will report my case to different media channels to avoid other tourists become victims.

Contacted them as soon as I knew I will not be able to pick up the car on time.
Replied 1 day after, saying the car is not available anymore, need to make a new reservation, and open a claim. I asked for a refund or voucher. (Booked another car with a real rental car company)
Claim took 44 days to come back with an answer: No refund, no voucher.
Next company to go bankrupt: EconomyBookings
They will love your money, you will hate their service!

We booked a car through economybookings.com and selected the full insurance coverage. However, when we arrived at the rental company to pick up the car, they said that plan wasn't valid and we were forced into buying a different insurance plan and basically paying twice. We contacted economybookings immediately, explained the situation and asked for a cancellation of the insurance we bought from them and a refund. They took forever to respond and when they finally did, they said there's nothing they can do, which is bull$#*!. We'll never use them again and would recommend avoiding them at all cost. The lower price might look tempting, but it's not worth it. The cost of our rental ended up being through the roof and the experience was extremely unpleasant.

I had to cancel my car rental and they will not give me a refund. Just said refunds for cancellations. Very very sad and mad! I called my bank and now I'm calling the better business bureau. They work out of Latvia. Do NOT use this company-!

My name is Artem, booking number is B*******. I made a reservation on EconomyBookings.com, paid for it with my Mastercard credit card. When I arrived to pickup point and tried to pay deposit with exactly the same credit card man on reception said to me they don't take credit cards issued by my bank and cancelled my order. He even didn't try to use it. So I stayed without car and was needed to pay more in another rent point.
I had read terms and condition before payment and checked my credit card in bin checker as they suggest, everything was ok.
I wrote about it to EconomyBookings support, and after 2 weeks(!) they answered me that I "failed to provide a credit card with enough available funds and with the main driver's name printed on it" so they won't refund my payment.
For my reasonable "How could I know rent point doesn't work with my bank?" they just say nothing for 1 week and still quiet.
Absolutely disgusting service, they just stole my money.

Is this a scam company? Be wary! Instructions aren't clear and you get charged in 4 different currencies. AUD, EURO, FJD and USD. No street address is identifiable to pick up vehicle and drop off. All communication is by email. No phone number provided for agent in NADI. Hopefully I get my money back less cancellation fee which is a rort.

I cancelled my flight and VRBO to Maui and get full refunds...but Economy Bookings chose to refund only $347 of my $413 paid! I am about to contact Visa Fraud to recoup the unauthorized theft of my funds and I will post on all sites to warn others of this rip off! When I discovered they were from Latvia, that should have been a red flag!

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
