I booked a 7 seater and when I arrived with my family to get the car they said they do not have such a car and they would give me 5 seater instead. I booked a car rental through EconomyBookings with the understanding that it would be refundable 48 hours before cancellation. Before cancelling, I called customer service to confirm that this would be the case - to the original form of payment.
They told me that I could cancel my existing booking (B*******) and get a refund to my original form of payment, but they neglected to inform me until after the fact that I would also be charged a significant fee. I asked them if there was any way around it, and they told me no.
I was planning to use my wallet to make another booking (B*******), but only realized after booking that I had to do it beforehand. I tried to request a full refund of the below booking to my original form of payment, but they told me no, and they also would not let me speak to a supervisor.
I have written to *******@bookinggroup.com and am hoping to hear back. If I do, I would be happy to update this review. Otherwise, I would warn everyone to stay clear of this company.

The car company did not have the record of insurance pay to EconomyBookings. Any claim issue will come to the driver. Hence, purchase a comprehensive insurance from the car company for peace of mind. EconomyBookings should refund the charges.

Booked for rental car but made a plan change. I tried to cancel the booking but according to their website it only provides credit for the next time usage. I called their customer service but the agant said there will be $65 cancellation fee for refund to my credit card. The agent said it is written in the website but I couldn't find and only I saw was "Free Cancellation until date/month/year " when 48 hours before the booking. It can be my mistake not catching this extreme charge disclaimer but I felt so being deceived.

Careful cancellations are not free.
I booked a car with announced free cancellation.
They charged me 60EUR! To refund the money (over 20% of the original booking). A shame.
All written in very long terms and conditions stating that they refund it to your Credit Wallet... (not credit Card) if you want your cash back you pay 60€.
For me, wehter fair nor legal.

Be careful when booking with this company. If you cancel a reservation, they put the funds in a "wallet" and do not send back to your credit card. They do not mention this process at all during the cancellation process and if you want it back on your card they charge $65 to do it. Pretty crappy policy and I canceled within minutes when I realized I chose the wrong vehicle (my bad but supposed to be free to cancel before the date). Be careful and read everything or they will pull a fast one. Poor business practice, in my opinion.

When I cancelled my reservation, the amount of money that was returned to my credit wallet was a way smaller than the amount that I originally paid.
And then, when I requested to withdraw money from the credit wallet to my credit card, the amount of money was 60 Euro less than the original payment. The reservation no.B******* and B*******.
So I lost 120 Euro by canceling 2 reservations.
I email the company to request about the details of cancellation fee and to show me the notification page.that explains about the exact amount of cancellation fee. But NEVER replied.
I could barely find the word " cancallation fee" BUT never found that it will be this much amount. It didn't describe the details anywhere in their website.

Hi, I booked a car reservation by Academybooking.com and I booked my taffy car rental and I went to the counter by taffy and they told me that I'm not do list to rent them. I didn't know before that. I'm not in the do not rent list so I contact customer support and I got the email two weeks later that unfortunately I can't get back to refund because I am in the blacklist from this company. Listen, I didn't know before that I'm not in the do not rental list because of that I have to get such a crazy thing that I have to pay more money and I can't get back to for refund this is a crazy crazy website. Scammers. Did not give me a full refund even after it clearly states that they offer FREE Cancellation on their website outside of 48 hours from pick up time. They said it goes into credit for their website and if the funds want to be fully refunded, they apply a $65 USD fee to return the funds. What part of FREE Cancellation is that?
The phone number associated to them only deals with new reservations. I was told I had to email customer support for the refund, which I did 4 days ago and still no answer.
Go with other companies that offer great rates and a real FREE Cancellation Policy. Stay away from these scammer. Already contacted the credit card for a dispute. All websites shots taken as well. Stay away and save yourself a headache.

If there were an option to give this company 0 stars I would. For one, they sell cars that aren't available at the actual location and fail to let you know that there are other fees involved when picking up the rental. Then when you bring this to their attention, instead of them being accommodating like an actual company should, they get rude and belligerent and say you're not owed a refund. Do yourself a favor and just order from the actual company.

I have booked the car from EconomyBookings from 23/07/2023 to 01/08/2023.
The prepayment was 109.75 EUR.
Everything went smoothly with our car rental from start to finish.
Easy pick up and drop-off, great vehicle.
But Klass Wagen rental car corporation has charged the full price as if I didn't pay the prepayment. When I contacted Klass Wagen customer service, they responded quickly and informed me that they knew nothing about the prepayment.
So, when I have contacted EconomyBookings about prepayment refund, they ignored me.

I have booked a car for 3 months with them from Antalya airport starting from 10th November to 10th February. Unfortunately local provider was not able to find a car for me and they cancelled my booking. The refund supposed to take the place immediately but more than 1 month, still I couldn't get my refund. I paid for a rental car ahead of time, yet on the day of my rental, I had some unforeseen events occur and could not rent. I looked on their website to file a refund. It wasn't there. Normally sites like Expedia, Priceline, and Bookings offer almost instant refunds if you do not use the service. Not economybookings.com! Not only did I get two different stories when I called them, I was treated rudely and dismissively by the second person I talked to... If this isn't a fraudulent service it's really close to it. Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
