Try to get ahold of customer service for an hour, the automated system is a joke and never get my answer resolved. Finally talked to a live person and was a terrible experience, gave me the run around and no help. After 4 years I'm done.
I ordered parts from autoutdoor,they was shipped through FedEx, which in turn dropped My package to the wrong address. FedEx admitted they messed up. Autoutdoor want answer my emails at all. So I let my bank handle it. Never shop with them again.
Ok every time I order from eBay it takes mad long! (No I'm not coping the uk I'm from the west we've been saying it forever too).They tell you beforehand an early date after you purchase it then boom. This will take 21 days and 17hrs and 30 seconds. Feels like I'm waiting for a video game to drop. Man can't believe I can compare eBay to Wish kind of upsetting. They tell you the person who's selling it is in California then why the heck does it say package shipping from Hong Kong?
They didn't switch my address in their system, even tho on my side it shows the correct address. I changed it 4 weeks ago. I have 3 items that have been shipped to the wrong address. Their "self help" page is horrible. This is their mistake, and their is NO way to get in touch with a live person to fix the issue they caused. I have 2 open cases, to which they have NEVER responded. It is refusing to let me open a third case. Their is no number for an actual human, and this is their mistake. Thry got my money tho. I have contacted all sellerd who say they ship where ebay has my address, and they refuse to help me. Except for one of them! Never use ebay! They will take your money, but you will not be able to fix any mistake from them if something happens to your said item!
Better hope you don't get George from customer service if you have an issue. I have been a seller and a buyer for over 20 yrs with a perfect 100% feedback for all those yrs. A simple problem a simple solution bad outcome. George did not have my back when I needed him. I did my part to be a perfect player in the eBay world. I felt brushed off and told basically to get over it when I was wronged. Felt like he gave my small problem 0 attention. So sad that only one person has the ability to make the decision with out any rebuttal or comment back. Just one swoop you're done. Have a nice day. He is the worst of customer service. Sold an item and eBay ended up calculating the weight and the shipping cost incorrectly. When I reached out to customer service for them to reimburse me they said that I have to eat the cost... Wow

EBay has the worst customer service who don't answer your questions and don't speak properly. They are arrogant and sound robotic. Please stay away from eBay. I sold some merchandise and they nickel and dime me. Taking out all kinds of fees. It takes forever to get your money! EBay use to be good for selling but not anymore. You walk away with very little for a lot of work. The experience is no longer fun. I am done and will tell everyone how petty they got.
Error in listing cemetery plots in August of 2023; attempted to correct with eBay agent on August 29th; eBay agent walked me through a process to correct and I was told no fees would be charged; later I was charged over $331; on follow up calls was promised a refund and was actually told by an agent on September 25th that my request was approved and I should see a credit back to my account; I have never received credit for these fees as of this date. I must call every few days to follow up and was told today, 10/22/2023, that my previous requests have been declined. As a new seller on eBay I am outraged and will be pulling my listings. Be aware!
I've 15 years with ebay and they are disappointed in everything, like nothing new I toke 3 day to contact them, I don't recommend to anyone to buy o seller anything with them

Ebay suspended my account indefinitely! I sold a knife and sent it the following day. No discrepancy between me and buyer, it went smooth. However, ebay has held my funds for weeks. They was supposed to send Micro deposits and they failed to do so, which caused my funds to be returned multiple times! I finally got the deposits and verified my bank... now they indefinitely suspended my account with no explanation. I called and nobody can tell me anything! How do you go from having an excellent rating on a seller account to being barred from the site completely!? This is a horrible platform!
Hopefully my experience causes some to think twice about purchasing off eBay. I had been an 18 year "loyal" customer per eBay and never had any issues, but this one time that I did, eBay let me down and I've now closed my account over their lack of concern about how their approach negatively impacts the customer. Specifically, after accepting an offer from one of their sellers for a reduced price on the item I was interested in, I immediately paid the $170.70 I was responsible for and the item was never delivered. I contacted the seller since I'd received notice the order was "delivered to my mailbox" by the USPS but the package was not in my mailbox. The seller informed me I should contact the post office but I advised him he had all the details and it made more sense that he do so. Well all he did was call the post office to confirm the package was delivered. He did nothing more. He never insured the package either, just took the cheapest most unreliable route to deliver a package without a care for whether it could be lost or stolen. I reported the matter to eBay and requested that they step in, which they did. However, they found in the seller's favor VERY QUICKLY because the post office CONFIRMED delivery. At this point I know there's something fishy going on with either the post office or my mailman because this is the second package that they confirmed was delivered but the package was not in my mailbox. I had the option to appeal eBay's decision and I did. EBay literally returned a response within an hour or so reiterating their earlier decision. There was no recourse after that and now I'm out 170.70 because a seller chose to use the most unreliable and questionable form of delivery without insuring the item and because eBay does no more research than to review a situation high level before rendering a decision. They do not investigate anything and they clearly don't want to be bothered with these claims. Their dispute resolution and appeal process is an absolute joke. Lessons painfully learned.
The amount of stuff I've gotten scammed by when selling on ebay is hilarious. There is no step by step process on ebay's behalf on "safe practices", when selling. Nor easy step by step guide on how to actually profit when selling on ebay, the shipping calculation is a mess, and the deductions you get hit with after you get paid out hardly makes it worth any of the effort. Even worse, if you are in contact with a scammer, this happened to me several times, and you contact ebay customer service to confirm if each step of the scammer's process looks fishy, they will say "just proceed with the scammer's refund request, and make sure the messages are all done through ebay." Then when your damaged product gets returned to you from the scammer, EVEN THOUGH IT ARRIVED IN PERFECT SHAPE, and you contact ebay about the condition your product was returned in, then they will transfer you to the fraud department, where people who actually know how to identify a scammer, will finally tell you that you got scammed and in the future to follow certain steps. This happened after I spoke to 15 seperate customer service reps in the process of a suspected scammer. A fu*king joke of an organization and service.
I've had several sellers cancel without consent on orders place. No valid reason or justification. They op out of selling me a product by saying there is an issue with my address. There has never been an issue with my address but eBay allows them to cancel. Only based on name email address because of my name on account. This violates civic rights because it's based on my ethnicity or religion. Both are a violation of civil rights. People cannot refuse to sell because of sex race religion or ethnicity. I understand that people hate, but hate is not a valid reason to refuse to sale on any platform. I am cancelling my account with eBay. It's not worth it to me to buy on platform if they allow such behavior. I've been a customer for 14yrs. It's now done.
I've sold a pair of boots on ebay, the seller made a dispute on the pretence that the size was wrong and asked for a return. 5 months later i don't have neither the boots nore the money even though ebay stoped 30 euros more from the account for the return expences. During this period i've tried all the steps required by ebay with the answer being the same all the time"the resolution was closed in favour of the buyer". So now im being fu.ed by the buyer with the help of ebay.
They donot have real time agent to resolve issue, poor customer services, bad policies to have an account and doing business, they start charging too much fee, they charge fee on taxes which increase their % margin. This platform should be banned now very unethical business practice.
Do not buy from eBay if something happens you don't get your order or it's damaged and returned it's a real fight to get your money back, in most cases you have to have ur credit card company go after them to get it buy beware.
I got scammed after trying to purchase an item sometime last month and ever since, the seller has been avoiding me. All emails left unanswered. If this platform doesn't protect buyers, then I wonder what they actually do.
Will never use eBay again. I have been scam on your platform but you didn't assist in getting back the money, speak to the seller or suspend the seller (despite multiple negative reviews stating it is a scammer). EBay told me that is nothing they can do. EBay is so much worse when compared to Amazon.

When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!

I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.

When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right.
