Ebay is selling cards with only 9 digits. You won't know until you buy one and scratch the card. Of course the local stores selling them claim its not their responsibility. And of course Ebay refuses to take responsibility for it as well. We've bee n trying to get our money back for months now to no avail. We were in a gas satation the other day and witnessed a customer with the exact same issue trying to get his money back. He was told by ebay that he had to go back to the store. Of course the store wouldn't help him. This is obviously a scam. Don't buy Ebay gift cards. Don't use Ebay. Ebay is super sketch, crooked and untrustworthy.
Any website, if I like something then I expect the prices to remain the same if you change prices- I want purchase it!
Got screwed out of a brand new 300 dollar product through a third party. Electronicsmadeeasy.
Did not deliver, did not reply to my emails, when I was able to contact them, they said sorry, it's past the 30 day warranty, even though I never received it.
Thanks for your hard earned money, bye.
Well F YOU!
Absolutely no buyer protection from pre order scams. I paid for a preorder item and afterwards the seller left eBay and didn't ship the item purchased. Contacted eBay customer service and they told me to contact my credit card company. What a scam! Will never use eBay again!
I left negative feedback to a seller with whom I had a horrible experience. To my surprise ( maybe) Ebay deleted it! How dishonest is this? Don't trust them; they are accomplices of bad sellers because all they want is the money from the transaction. Don't trust the reviews, either!
I Bought a top on ebay weeks ago. It was a very expensive one from a well known brand. I have other eight tops from the same brand and same size. When I received it I noticed that it was at least two sizes smaller, although the tag indicated the right size. I know what happened: the previous owner washed it the wrong way and it shrank. I asked the seller for a return and he refused. As you know, ebay does not give a damm, as long as they get their money. I tried to give the buyer a bad feedback because, after all, the item was defective and did not correspond to the description. When ebay saw that it was a negative feedback it blocked me from giving it for a week. After a week, I finally was able to give it although the PURCHASE WAS NOT SHOWN ON MY LIST. I made a mention to how ebay handled the case, of course. Well, today I got a threat message form ebay saying that my feedback was an extortion and that I would face penalties if I insisted on this behavior. I will tell you what is extortion: hiding purchases because you know they did not go well; staying always on the seller's side; trying to avoid negative feedbacks at all cost; not a giving a damm to someone that has been a five star customer for the last 15 years. The last definition of extortion will, of course, given by a judge. Wait for me!
EBay is a scam and a joke, doesn't surprise me they have lost a couple billion and are going to eventually crash, and every year gets worse and worse in losses. I was a loyal customer over 20 years no negative feedback, always 100% positive and permanently suspended my account when someone hacked my account and I reported it and they permanently suspended me when I was the victim who had to fight all the charges and horrible customer service from eBay. They never gave me a reason just got rid of me. And not one negative thing on my record ever with over 500 positive transactions. Don't waste your time with eBay!
As a buyer I have never really had a problem with eBay, but as a seller it's only getting worse, you really don't get any help from eBay as a seller, it's all about keeping the buyer happy, no matter how bad a buyer maybe, I've lost money because of bad buyers, but eBay doesn't want to hear it, and sides with the buyer every time, but if you don't have sellers, you don't have buyers.
"Over the past 13 years, I've dedicated myself to selling various items on eBay. However, recent experiences have left me disappointed and concerned. In several instances, I've faced the frustrating situation where customers returned incorrect or damaged items. One time, the product I sold was returned with entirely different contents, leading to a loss in both the case and my investment. Another instance involved a returned item with broken parts, and most disheartening was receiving an empty box in place of the original product I sold.
These experiences not only resulted in financial loss but also left me with defective devices that are of no use. My attempts to seek resolution through eBay have been futile, and it appears that seller protection is severely lacking on the platform. The increasing fees on eBay add to the strain, making it an impractical and costly place to conduct business.
After 13 years of loyalty to eBay, I find myself at a crossroads, looking for alternative platforms where my business can thrive without these recurring issues. I urge fellow sellers to consider this experience as a cautionary tale. Selling on eBay might seem appealing, but it could lead to wasted time, money, and a heap of unwarranted stress. It's time to explore new horizons in online selling."
WARNING DO Not Sell on ebay Warning
Ebay suspended for a few months my account by mistake. Nobody wanted take responsibility for it.
Nobody replied to my complaint.
No phone numbers to call only forms to fill out. Sellers don't list contact information and ebay doesn't care. No way to track s package or sale unless vendor contacts you or eBay contacts you. Lousy service.
EBay passed me fake shoes and wouldn't refund me my money and these shoes should've never been passed. EBay fakes on the right and Nike Real shoes on the left
I just paid $498 that I do not have to a company called O&M they sold me I have all the paperwork what they called a brand new iPhone 12. Two days later I went to my cousins birthday party. I took one video five photos and the phone physically burnt my hand. I contacted eBay and they are giving me such a hard time on getting my money back. In the interim I have no phone and I am out $498 have gone to the police department and I filed the claim, it's on!
Ebay really needs to step it up in protecting the buyers. They are quick to email you for a payment if an item's offer is accepted but VERY SLOW to make the seller respond or ship the item. The program should revise its wait time for a refund when a seller has been emailed about the item after it is 2 weeks late, then Ebay wants another week for the seller to "respond", 6 days later they have not, and my show car is waiting on 1 rim to be chromed that I cannot get from the seller or have Ebay refund the cost so I am able to find a legitimate seller. Then Ebay will just let the seller screw the next buyer as they do not penalize the seller until they have a TON of complaints.
I've contacted eBay customer service that there should be no NY state sales tax on the medical related items and services such as eyeglass frames and lenses, etc., and it should not require the tax exempt number. I've purchased glasses and lenses online out of state and stores in NY state sales tax free.
My recent purchase of the eyeglass frame from eBay included the NY sales tax. What do eBay do with the tax collected from me? Gauging the buyer?
Ebay one of the worst companies out there.
They stopped responding to my emails I had to open a better business bureau complaint.
Sad!
I've bought and sold on EBay for over 20 years I've had two episodes of fraud and the have tried to force me to pay for my things that have been stolen. They purchased my items then they asked to return it then eBay gives them their money back and they send it to another address and you never get your item back. Then EBay closed my account because I refused to give them the money for the items that were stolen and sent to someone else? Never will I give in to this and I'm more than disappointed in eBay for the way I've been treated and they know what happened and refuse to make it right.
Don't deal with this Hong Kong based business, product don't work and no refunds, as they promise, the fluid don't work and the scratch repair don't work
I updated my address. But apparently Ebay stores multiple addresses, and my shipping address wasn't updated. So I bought something and it was delivered to the wrong address. I'm not shopping on Ebay again.
Wedding present and the company that eBay sends the watches to check if they are authentic are not trained or authorized to open these high end watches. My Rolex was opened as they open every watch and in the process they broke the gasket in the back. She bought it roughly a month before we flew out to Europe to get married to make sure it arrives on time. She gives me the watch and I take it swimming for 5 minutes in Italy and water gets in it. We immediately take it to Rolex in Milan and they open it up and dry it and notice the scratch marks on the back and realize that whoever opened it did not use the right tools or know what they were doing. This voided the warranty. We sent the watch to Rolex for repairs. In the US there are only 4 service centers that repair Rolex's. It took roughly two months for the watch to get repaired and cost $700. We reached out to eBay to tell them how much it cost to fix it and to get them to pay the bill as it was their direct action that resulted in this watch breaking and the warranty from Rolex being void. I repeat DO NOT BUY any high end watches from eBay. We and now in the process of contacting our lawyer.
Newcomer to Ebay. They instantly suspended account when I was not finished setting up payment methods. Awful system and have no customer support
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
