The service and the rates the everything was like a breath of fresh air. FANTASTIC. DHL rules. It was a pleasant experience.
I stayed home all day awaiting delivery. There was no update given on the website until almost 7pm, and I still did not know when it would be delivered. I waited up late,not knowing how early in the evening they stopped delivery. I tried to find a human on the phone but the system went round in circles to make sure I never got anything other than a robot. Eventually, I got a human on a chatbox, and eventually arranged that I would pick it up—so much for expensive couriered delivery. It is now at the location where I can pick it up, over 20 miles away, but it is still slated for delivery on a different day, not collection in spite of my requesting to do that. They are absolutely hopeless, and do not even deserve 1 star. I will let the passport office know to use ANYTHING else but DHL. I am going to collect it myself today, in spite of everything, as I do not want to stay home twiddling my thumbs for yet another wasted day.
Takes 2 and a half weeks to deliver something that would take a halfway decent company 5 days to deliver. Package sitting at same place for multiple business days in a row. Not sure hpw they're still in business.
What a terrible experience no sense of urgency and professionalism! No sense of delivery very delayed service!
HORRIBLE. Would never in a life time even think about going to this company I don't even see how they are still up and running they lie about delivering items they take fake pictures in random doorsteps they don't take the picture full door with the apartment number on them. They my package was $303 and they said it didn't require a signature and when I looked at all the delivery documentation it states it was signed by someone that is not my name and a picture that was not my front door step. If you work for DHL you need to quit I try to give them the benefit of the doubt with my first package being stolen years back and I told myself I wouldn't do it again but everybody who works for this company is a bunch of thieves and I hope you sleep like $#*! steal from people who have serious conditions and that package was needed.
I sent a old cell phone to mainland china. They charged $175 to ship from US. Tracking says it got to Guangzhou then said returned to shipper per sender. Item was never returned and DHL stole it. No contact phone number and email chat only has computer answer that item was returned to shipper per DHL policy.
Bought a CD from Japan, they send vis DHL Huge cost over $50 to Aust. They say it is extra because I live rural, what BS. Never again through DHL, what a bunch of bandits! The same postage elsewhere is about a tenth of DHL's greedy ripoff!
3x they attempted to deliver my order before 6pm even tho I requested for an end of the day pickup as I'm at work. They promised me they would deliver it on July 27th in the afternoon. Of course my package doesn't arrive. I attempt to contact them, customer service number wouldn't even accept my tracking number and said it couldn't find my order. I go to tracking it keeps saying package will arrive by the end of the day even though it's almost 10pm. Guess I just wasted my money and didn't get my package.
My item was sent by DHL from London Croydon. It was collected and scanned and then never delivered. I have written an official complaint but I have never received any compensation for that. Instead, I have received an email that my case will not be proceed any further because my item was of "sentimental value" - it was s birthday gift from my mom, a handmade embroidered brooch with the image of her daughter on it. I don't trust this courier company anymore. The item was collected, scanned and then stolen, because the track was lost after collection. I have written complaint but never received any compensation because I do not have receipt for the birthday handmade gift.
Paid extra for early delivery and during tracking it stated wasn't delivered because there was no response at address. Home all day. Found out later there was a problem with drivers too many stops. Contacted DHL and person refused to give name or employee #. Spent 1.5 hrs+ trying to get rectified. Promised delivery between 9 and 11 tomorrow. Now I know why they disappeared for several years. I will never use them again.
Companies that use this service really don't care about their customers. Unfortunately, you don't always know how they are shipping. But when I get a package via DHL, it's the last time I'll order from that supplier.
Ik had een "dezelfde dag" levering gekocht bij Gereedschapcentrum. Deze werd door DHL uitgevoerd en snel bevestigd maar na sluitingstijd van de klantenservice (zowel Gereedschapcentrum als DHL) kwam opeens de melding dat de zending vertraagd was en het 1 tot 2 werkdagen kon duren. Doordat zij de zending geupdate hadden naar "in de regio" kon de Gereedschapcenttum die niet meer terugroepen bleek bij telefonisch contact bij opening volgende werkdag. Als klant kregen wij verder geen update van DHL over de daadwerkelijke bezorgdag of tijd noch een telefoonnummer om te achterhalen wat we nu kunnen verwachten. Dit is al de zoveelste keer dat dit gebeurd bij een DHL zending. Webshops zouden moeten vermelden voorafgaand aan betalen bij wie zij transport inkopen zodat klanten weten waar ze aan toe zijn. Kies vooral niet voor optie DHL als je de zending ook tijdig wil ontvangen!
I was expecting a shipment from Under Armor and I work from home so I am always home. The package was mark delivered and was never delivered. This is an ongoing issue and needs to be looked into!
DHL has the best answering service! Many other shipping companies that I work with don't let you talk to an actual human but DHL does right away!
Whenever I call they always answer within three minutes of waiting and are always very helpful.

They lost several of my packages and cost me over $400 from European retailer that uses them. It's been several horrible experiences one after another with them. I have proof they came with a scheduled pick up I hand delivered to the driver a return and they claim since the incompetent driver forgot to scan it in, the pick up must not have happened despite me having a convo with the man who told me he was new and didn't know what he was doing. That same driver caused me to open 3 different causes on various preforms he lost. Weeks later on going and one completely lost according to DHL who refused to take any accountability and now I'm out $400. Do NOT use DHL do NOT buy any items from any retailers who use DHL as if there is any issue or a return you risk having. The issues I have had.
Don't use DHL again. I paid almost $200 USD to mail a package of about $500 goods to Macau. After almost 2 weeks without any tracking notice, I was told later that my package couldn't be delivered and would have to be destroyed without sending it back to me. I was told by the Macau authorities that the Post Office usually returned the package back to the sender while this company just simply destroyed it without letting me to choose. Horrible experience. Never again will I use it to mail anything.
The driver threw my package on the ground right in front of my door out in plain view so I asked him if he could place it behind my planter he just kicked it behind my planter.

I had to go back and forth with them as they tried to overcharge custom fees for a good I ordered. They first sent me a 850$ amount which was different from the 750$ on the invoice and by fighting I was able to pay for the real amount (409$).
I wonder how many people just pay what is requested without challenging but these guys... I will have received my package 10 days later in the end.
Awful. Don't know what else to say. Just awful. Customer service was even worse when I called to try and get it figured out. No help
Answer: DHL always damaged my packages, I don't understand how they are still in business!
Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around ÂŁ25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
Answer: Simply a NO useless unprofessional company skammers
