The parcel came from China to Spain in good time, once in Spain it was all downhill. I speak some spanish but the spanish customer service agent, and they do have english speaking agents, decided to make life hard work. Telling me in spanish they did not understand, mis spelling my name and mis writing my details. This caused the parcel to get stuck in customs here, and we then had to collect the parcel from the local shopping centre carpark, meeting the DHL van there, delivery was nearly a week late. The english speaking agent did not know the drivers name but just told us to look out for the DHL and the fat guy! Not the service I expect from DHL
It is by far the best private package delivery company, they are ALWAYS on time, they never lose any packages and never damage any packages either.
They are the only company which ship to places that UPS, Fedex and USPS have NEVER even heard of. Lol
The express service can be pricey when it comes to large items, it is best if you use their ocean freight option (for really large and heavy items)
Used the DHL service in Bolivia a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the service. The rates a little too high for my taste but in a country like Bolivia it is worth it.
$#@! Really, DHL is not the best shipping service. More, this is the worst shipping service I ever had to deal with. They got their own customs office so they just try to get more and more and more money from people that are importing things or just trying to order something from abroad cheaper. Try to avoid it.
I recently ordered from a website that used DHL to ship my parcel to me and it was a headache! I tracked my order and one day I saw a message that said they needed more address information so I called them up and told them exactly what my address was and I was told my package would be sent out the next day. It wasn't. I REPEATEDLY got phone calls to my house from DHL wanting to know my address and after a week they still had not even ATTEMPTED to bring me my parcel! When I finally got it I had to pay and additional $46 that was not even brought to my attention through all the phone calls!
Well after it took three weeks to get my order from a website (They shipped it out overnight, DHL had it for three weeks) It was stationed in Ottawa for a week (I live an hour out of Ottawa, so I don't understand why it was there for a week.) and the updates on my tracking didn't make sense. It would go to Ottawa then be headed to my town, then it would be back in Ottawa. After overpaying for the EXPRESS shipping (2-5 business days, took over 10 business days instead) I recieved my order and then I had to pay an additional $15 for customs. So I'm at over 50% price of my actual order in shipping alone. The box was a bit damaged but luckily the website I order from knew that they were doing and packaged it nice and safely inside.
I will absolutely NEVER use DHL again, I should have checked out the ratings online first.
Answer: DHL always damaged my packages, I don't understand how they are still in business!
Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around £25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
Answer: Simply a NO useless unprofessional company skammers
