I would rate my experience with CheapTickets website as extremely poor. On July 3rd, 2023, I purchased two tickets for a flight from Amman, Jordan to Toronto, Canada with a layover in Vienna and Paris. However, upon arriving in Amman, my wife and I were informed by Austrian Airlines staff that she was not allowed to transit through two European countries with her Yemeni passport.
I immediately contacted CheapTickets for assistance, but after a long argument, their representatives were unable to provide any helpful information or solutions. They refused to make any changes or offer a refund, and instead directed me to contact Austrian Airlines. When I did contact Austrian Airlines, they also refused to offer any assistance or a refund, and directed me back to CheapTickets.
I spent hours going back and forth between the two parties, both of whom were unwilling to take responsibility for the situation. As a result, I was left stranded in Amman, Jordan and had to purchase new tickets at an additional cost of $3000.
Overall, my experience with CheapTickets website was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Their lack of assistance and support caused significant inconvenience and financial loss, and I would not recommend using their services in the future.
Giving me the runaround. Wouldn't issue me a refund even I spoke to the airline and was told I am eligible for a refund but it would have to be paid by Cheaptickets. If at all possible don't purchase tickets from Cheaptickets.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE.
We got our tickets and NEVER received the email confirmation with the e/tickets. The payment was made though!
Don't be lured into this company's promise of "cheaper flights". First of all, they aren't cheaper and most importantly, even if there's a slight glitch with your travel plans, you will never get any help from CHEAP TICKETS! They are one of the worst companies out there and I'm not sure how they stay in business. Hold onto your wallets people - these guys are slimy.
I booked a car with SIXT via cheaptickets.com at Paris Charles DeGaulle Airport. I was coming for a funeral of a family member. When I arrived, SIXT had no record of my booking, even though cheaptickets.com had provided me with a SIXT reservation number. After 2 hours arguing with both SIXT and cheaptickets, each blaming the other, I had no choice but to rebook the car at ALMOST THREE TIMES THE PROMISED PRICE so I could get to the funeral. Now I have called both SIXT and cheaptickets.com about a refund of the extra charges. Each blames the other. "Martin G" of SIXT responded to my earlier posting and invited me to send the paperwork to SIXT to sort out the problem, which I appreciated. This morning, after two weeks, SIXT emailed me to say they have no record of my booking (even though I have a SIXT booking number) and they refer me back to cheaptickets.com. And, of course, cheaptickets.com says they gave me a SIXT reservation number, and so send me back to SIXT. So BOTH companies say "not my problem" and do nothing. And I have to pay the bill. So don't be fooled by "Martin G's" comments on all these negative SIXT reviews -- it's just a load of nonsense designed to make unwary viewers think SIXT cares. THEY DON'T!
My flight was cancelled in 2020 due to covid, in 2021, I finally received confirmation that they will process to the reimbursement, in 2022 they asked for my bank details which they say are not working (I gave two differents bank account twice).
In 2023, I still didn't get anything and they are no longer replying to any of my email
Had the worst experience possible at the Hertz desk in the Austin airport.
Had made a car rental reservation via a 3rd party website (CheapTickets.com) - CheapTickets itinerary ************** for a Tesla Model 3 (Hertz CONFIRMATION K*******B2). For this reservation I had paid in advance 168.45$ of the total $221.93 due for a 3 days period.
When I arrived at the Hertz desk in the Austin airport, I gave them all the documents (confirmation #, driver's license, passport, credit card). I was told by the lady at the counter that because I am renting a Tesla this would be considered as a special car reservation and therefore her manager came and told me they would need to make a check on my credit card + drivers license. He went back in his office with my documents and came back after 10-15 minutes telling me that after checking, my driver's license was found to be "fraudulent" by Hertz's internal compliance team. When asking what does "fraudulent" mean for them, he said that unfortunately he cannot tell me as this is the resolution he received from an internal team; he also told me that he cannot give me any other car because of this resolution and that I will be able to get a full refund. In conclusion I lost more than one hour to go through this entire process waiting at their desk.
I was really surprised by what he said specially because I had used Hertz for renting a car back in June in New York city using the same credit card + drivers license and did not encounter any issues.
I then moved to the Avis rental counter which is next to Hertz's one and was able to rent the same car (Tesla Model 3) using the exact same documents (passport, credit card, drivers license) in less than half an hour.
The biggest surprise and disappointment however came now when trying to get a refund from the 3rd party website (Cheaptickets.com) for my Hertz reservation. Their message was that Hertz rejected my refund request because I did not provide a valid driver's license. So in conclusion, I lost 168.45$ without ever benefiting from the rental car service. I am never renting from them ever again and would recommend a high level of caution when dealing with them! I wish I only would have read all the reviews found here beforehand.
Recently, I had booked tickets to Dubai for my parents from Bengaluru, I had made a mistake while booking so I had cancelled within 24hrs of booking. Even though the booking was cancelled within 24hrs they have charged a whopping amount of $468.92 SGD.
When checked with them they say this is the standard fee cancellation amount that will be charged if cancelled.
POOR SERVICE. NO COMMUNICATION (EMAIL) TO NOTIFY CUSTOMERS OF CHANGES MADE. TAKE YOUR MONEY. NO ONE CAN HELP THAT WORKS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. BAD BAD BAD
Ik heb geboekt betaald en bevestigd dat ik vanaf 20-10-2022 t/m 31-10-2022. Ik had vlucht naar Azerbeidzhan om trouwen. Gisteren is gebleken dat mijn vlucht is geanulleed. Hierdoor kan ik niet met mijn vrouw terug vliegen. Enige reactie wat ik terug krijg"Dit is wat ik kan bieden op dit moment, heb je verder nog andere vragen?"
Verder krijg ik alle email in het Engels. Heel erg professioneel. Ik heb ze verzocht om alternatieve vlucht. Ik heb volgende bericht gekregen"Ik heb de aanvraag bij het speciale team ingediend. Ik ga de chat sluiten."
Wel geld incasseren en dan chat sluiten" zo gaan ze met je om bij cheaptickets.nl. Ze hebben omboeking gegarandeerd en dan vervolgens"Ik ga de chat sluiten"
I've been booking with cheaptickets for years, traveled lots, to India, the UK, Mexico, Costa rica... and i've never had a single problem. They've been my go to flight finder for well over a decade. The 24 hour cancel that they have (sometimes, all times? I don't recall...) but i've been able to make cancellations 24 hours after making the reservation, and that has saved me a few times now. I'm rather shocked at the low ratings actually. I guess if you have a bad experience you are more likely to leave an angry review... but dude! Anyway... i'm super grateful cheaptickets exists.
DO NOT book with this site. You WILL regret it. I had a R/T flight to Budapest cancelled in 2020 due to COVID, as the Budapest airport stopped allowing inbound flights from abroad, as did America for quite a while. Cheap Tickets said no when I asked for a refund. Instead I was issued a flight credit for $565. However, I was advised that when I re-book, I'd have to pay a $300 change fee (sheer profit for them). So in essence, my flight credit should have been worth about $265. I called yesterday to inquire about booking a flight to Italy and this credit. I gave the flight details and was told that a one way ticket to Catania would be $566. Then I asked about the cost for round-trip airfare. After about 15 minutes of nothing, the rep came back on and quoted $980. Oddly enough, I was on the Cheap Tickets website, and the cost showing for R/T airfare to Catania was $878. Realistically, when both the flight credit and the change fee is factored in, the fare should have come to $613. The rep simply told me to check back later, since prices fluctuate, and I might find a better fare later on. Simply disregarding the credit and paying the fare showing on their website would have been $100 less than trying to book a flight with the credit that I am (still) owed, although they've made it quite obvious I will not be able to redeem it. Unfortunately this is the type of horrific service that you have to deal with when using this company. To anyone determined to book through them anyway, I'll go ahead and say it. Kiss you money and your patience goodbye, because you're going to lose a lot of both. Unfortunate still, I rated them 1 star, although, if possible, they deserve much lower.
I was booking a ticket through then and it gave me the option of paying $82 for seat selection, which I did. The ticket jumped from $321 to $403, but they did not allow me to pick a seat. Then, when they emailed me the ticket, it did not say that I paid for seat selection. I called them, and they said that I didn't pay for seat selection, that was just the fare. I called the airline, and the airline told me directly that there was no indication that I had paid for seat selection. So, they charged me $82 for seat selection and I did not get to pick my seat. Nor did my receipt show that I paid it. They just bundled the fee in with the fare which gave me no recourse at all.
IF (big IF) I book through cheap tickets again, but I will NEVER pay for seat selection through them again. I'd just book the baseline fare and then go to the airline's website to pick a seat.
Learn from my mistake. Don't pay for seat selection - just purchase baseline fare and then go to the airline to pick your seat. :)
So where do I start the customer service when we arrived was great. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. However, my husbands belt was stolen on our 3rd day there. The housekeeper cleaned our room and when we returned the belt was gone out of my husbands suitcase. They was told and did nothing. So be aware of where you stay when visiting St Maarten
I used to use the company with great success and happiness. Now they find ways to screw the customer and you can't get a real person on the line. What a $#*!hole of a company! Never, ever use them!
I bought insurance for a flight I had to cancel due to illness. I was provided with flight credit and then at the time of booking flights with those credits, nothing worked. The website didn't allow me to book online, when calling the customer service agent she made up some lie about how they needed to book me on the next most expensive fare, and tickets that were supposed to be 300 bucks, were now 900 so I still needed to pay the 300 for the cost of the flight.
Absolute garbage for this website. I used them for many years but will never go back to them again. Beware, don't use them!
I bought refundable tickets with insurance. First, the email said it will take 7 to 10 business days to get the refund, then I called in 8-5-2022 and I was told 3 to 5 business days to get my refund. Today 8-12-2022 they are telling me 4 weeks.
Booked Flight for e and another person to Ft. Lauderdale in 2020, the flight was cancelled due to covid 19. When I called about my credit in December 2021, I was told that I had to use my credit before June 30,2022. I called Cheap tickets to tell them that we could not complete the trip in June due to both of us having medical conditions that would not allow us to fly at this time. When I spoke to an employee by the name of John {he said he could not give a last name}, On June 9,2022, I was assured he would request the credit back and I could use it at another time. He said he made notes to the file and I should get an email by June 12,2022 about my credit. I did not receive an email by that date and I just called Cheap Tickets again asking about my credit telling them about my conversation with John. They claim that their are no notes to the file except the notes from December 2021. They want me to submit a Doctors note for both myself and my other passenger and they will submit it to the airline to see what happens. The people you talk to all read from a script they are given while giving the customer no real answers, however they can take your money fast enough when you first book. I have no refund and no credit as of today so they have just bilked two senior citizens out of $1,056 dollars. I will never use them again and I would advise everyone to stay away from them.

Gebruik Cheaptickets dus lekker als zoekmachine en ga vervolgens naar de vliegmaatschappij om daar te boeken.
Intussen een reactie gehad van Cheaptickets en hun reactie is precies waarom je niet bij Cheaptickets moet boeken! Zij kunnen niet cancellen!
Answer: These are a bunch of crooks that are in the process of being sued and put out of business by our state's Attorney General... BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!
Answer: In this situation. I probably would. Just keep in mind that the sale is final and where you may be placed might not be a prime location despite what you pay. Unfortunately last minute purchasing can put you in a vulnerable situation.
