I had a very disappointing experience with CarJet.
I booked a car through their platform (VW Jetta or similar) and also purchased their full excess insurance. When I arrived in Marrakech to collect the vehicle, the supplier informed me that the booked car was not available and offered a much smaller car instead.
Although the vehicle was clearly from a lower category, I was still willing to accept it. However, the supplier then insisted that I must pay an additional €115 that was not included in the booking conditions in order to receive the car.
Since this extra charge was not part of the reservation and I had already purchased full insurance through CarJet, I refused to pay it. As a result, the supplier refused to hand over the vehicle and left without completing the rental.
I contacted CarJet customer support and explained the situation in detail, including evidence that the supplier tried to charge an additional fee. I also shared multiple public reviews showing that other customers experienced the same issue with this supplier.
Despite this, CarJet continued to claim that the vehicle category was correct and did not address the main issue – that the supplier refused to deliver the car unless an additional payment was made.
After my last message explaining this clearly, CarJet stopped responding altogether.
As a customer, I expected the platform to investigate the situation and support the client when a supplier refuses to provide the booked service.
Unfortunately, that did not happen in this case.
This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had with a car rental broker.
A. No customer support when it matters
Before reserving the car (and paying £50+ upfront), there is literally no way to contact CarJet other than a web chat. No phone number. No email. Nothing.
I used that chat to clarify payment requirements before booking, and was explicitly told that any credit card in the driver's name would be accepted.
After you've paid the £50+ reservation fee, suddenly your options become:
- calling a Spanish phone number (international call charges if you're in the UK), or
- filling in an online form which, hours later, generates an automated response telling you… to read the same rental conditions you contacted them about in the first place.
Zero accountability. Zero ownership. Zero help.
B. Total disconnect between CarJet and the rental company
CarJet appears to be completely disconnected from the actual fleet operator.
In my case, the car was supposedly supplied by Allegiance Rent A Car, yet:
- they do not communicate in real time with CarJet (email only, unpredictable delays);
- each party interprets the rental conditions differently;
- when things go wrong, they blame each other and the customer is left stranded.
CarJet took my money. Allegiance refused the car. Neither took responsibility.
C. Heathrow "airport" rental in name only
This was advertised as a London Heathrow rental, with an airport surcharge, yet the experience is anything but airport-convenient.
To collect the car you must:
- take the Piccadilly Line to Hatton Cross,
- call the garage,
- wait ~25 minutes for a shuttle,
- then be driven off-site.
From any Heathrow terminal to actually getting the car: 60–90 minutes minimum, assuming no traffic.
This is not an airport rental. It's an off-site operation dressed up as one.
D. No terminal drop-off on return
On return, they do not drop you at an airport terminal because that would incur a £7 drop-off fee.
Instead, they dump you at a nearby hotel, from where you must:
-walk 10 minutes over a suspended bridge, or
- arrange and pay for alternative transport.
Completely unacceptable for a rental sold as "Heathrow Airport".
Bottom line:
CarJet is happy to take your money upfront, but when anything goes wrong:
-customer support disappears,
- responsibility evaporates,
- you are left out of pocket.
Avoid CarJet unless you enjoy wasting time, money, and patience.
Do not use this company I was ripped off a week later with another transaction on my card to an employee that worked at the car rental company also the car was far too old had far too many miles on the clock was basically a heap and no help from car jet they had their money so didn't do anything to help so avoid avoid avoid
Often low price for rental, but very high price for insurance excess. You must check this carefully before you choose a car.
Do not trust this broker to rent a car. Carjet connected us with a completely fraudulent rental company in Marrakech: Vehicle in very poor condition, not matching the reservation. The rental company's "office" was set up… in the trunk of his car. Exorbitant deposit of €1,700, only accepted with an embossed credit card. Given these shady practices, we refused to take the vehicle. Despite this, Carjet refused to refund us.
I would give 0 stars if I could. They refuse to give me a refund, even though I cancelled my reservation in the time frame specified. I even have an email from them saying the reservation was cancelled on the 29th June, and the reservation could have been cancelled until 5th July. They keep saying i request modification, not cancellation. The only modification I made was to add 2 carseats as this option was not available at the time of the booking. After that I cancelled as I found cheaper somewhere else. I have the email stating that. Their customer service is very poor. They also blocked me and the call agent was very rude and keep talking over me, not listening at all. This is a scam website and I will no longer make reservations with them and I will make sure I will advise everyone to stay away from this website as they are not reliable.
Sixt (vis carjet) would not give me a car because of an address verification check. I booked from overseas, I have an international address. Avis gave me a car at the next counter. These criminals have not returned my money for 4 months. I hope your business collapses you dishonest people.
We have been victims of fraud by Carjet and Flexways. When renting a car, we were charged a large amount of money, with the assurance that it would be refunded within a month, but we never received the reimbursement. When we complained, Carjet told us to speak with Flexways, and Flexways responded that, as Carjet is an intermediary, they are not responsible. In short, they pass the ball back and forth without taking any responsibility. Additionally, we were charged more than agreed, and there was no transparency regarding the fees. This practice is abusive and misleading. We hereby inform that we will formally file a complaint with the police and through a management office to claim our rights and the corresponding reimbursement.
We urge everyone not to rent cars through these companies, as our experience has been a complete scam and abuse.The car was rented twice in a row, and both times we lost a significant amount of money.Reservation Number: CJT-*******

CarJet completely failed to address my complaint. We were given a car that was unsafe, much larger than the one we booked, and clearly not a "similar" vehicle. I explained the problems in detail, but customer service kept copy-pasting the same answer about a "free upgrade," ignoring all safety and cost concerns. Eventually, they stopped replying altogether. No proper complaints policy, no refunds, no accountability. Very poor and dismissive service—I would not book with them again.
I booked a car with Carjet (operated by Green Motion), clearly indicating my flight number arriving at Heraklion, Crete. Despite both companies having offices in Heraklion and Chania, the car was prepared in Chania (over 3 hours away) and they refused to change the pick-up location.
I lost the full amount (€ 360.21) without receiving any service, even though the mistake was theirs for not checking the booking details. No assistance, no willingness to solve the issue.
Strongly not recommended: lack of professionalism and customer care.
Never use CarJet - they work with scammers AKARENT - Sigma Renta Car. They allegedly insure the car, and then do not get in touch. Through the CarJet website, scammers from the company AKARENT - they are also Sigma Renta Car stole a deposit of 400 euros. CarJet does not respond to all my requests.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! THIEVES. THEY CHARGED ME ON LINE $863. FOR 2 WEEKS RENTAL IN LONDON ON A 3 ROW SUV. WHEN I CAME TO PICK IT UP THE CAR WAS NOT THERE, THEY HAD RENTED IT TO SOMEBODY ELSE SINCE I WAS NOT ON TIME TO PICK IT UP ON TIME. WHEN I ASKED TO GET A DIFFERENT LESSER CAR A 2 ROW SUV THEY SAID MY RESERVATION WAS CANCELED AND I HAD NO CREDIT. THEY THEN WANTED TO CHARGE ME $1100 AND NO CREDIT GIVEN. THEY WERE VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ON THE PHONE. WHEN I DID VERY UNHELPFUL. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. AMERICAN EXPRESS SAID THEIR TERMS READ IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL ON THE WEBSITE 1 HOUR IN ADVANCE YOUR RENTAL IS VOIDED AND YOU FORFEIT YOUR MONEY. THIEVES SCAM. THERE WAS OTHER CUSTOMERS I MET AS I WAS LEAVING WHO HAD TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE STORIES TOO.
I made a reservation through CarJet, attracted by the price, but the experience was a nightmare. The information in the email was confusing: no clear pickup time, no exact location, no direct contact. The supposed shuttle was impossible to identify, with several unrecognizable logos and no visible indication at the airport. I went through all the car rental parking areas and could not find the company. No assistance was provided. When I finally managed to speak to the local partner (after a lot of effort), they told me the car had already been given to another customer. CarJet did not respond effectively and refused to refund the money, even though no vehicle was ever handed over to me. Conclusion: I lost time, money, and trust. Book directly with the rental companies — it's more transparent and reliable. I do not recommend CarJet at all.
Absolutely do not book a car through this company. We booked a car through carjet from Australia in the uk the company Suprise and Carjet ripped us off.
We booked online and called both companies after reading the small print to see if we required an international driving licence, both confirmed no. Wd also have driven cars over the last 10 years in the uk without an international licence.
When we arrived we were picked up by suprise and driven to their pick up location, to be told wd needed an international licence and they were charging an extra £360 pounds for the pleasure, when we said no we would get one online they advised they wouldn't accept an online version and would not release the car or give us a refund. They wouldn't drive us back to the airport and left us stranded with no car or internet would not help us at all, thankfully the owner of the coffee shop in the same building helped us and ordered a cab.
We have had a negative response from carjet.
Please do yourself a favour if your booking in manchester don't do it, apparently they are known for doing this after speaking to the cab driver. We ended up booking through enterprise in burnage and they were fantastic, cheaper is not always the best as we found out.
Carjet. Com are genuine scammers. We booked a car via them for a family trip in France. On the arrival day, despite having a booking confirmation and voucher, the car rental company declined to provide car at all, stating it is Sunday and office is closed, and asked me to call tomorrow so "they can see what could be done". They also said they can't find my booking.
Since we haven't got the service we prepaid for, and had to leave Paris the next morning, we took another car rental from the airport and applied for a refund with Carjet. Initially they said they are sorry and will be investigating but soon after, they stopped responding to my emails/calls. One month later there is still no refund! Avoid Carjet at all cost unless you're happy your money to be stolen!
Payed a part in advance for renting a car at Deja vu in Antalya. I booked with carpet. There was no car available. So no car, much higher prices now and payed already!
Carpet is not reachable by phone (had to call to Spain! And waited and waited…
There is no possibility to contact carpet if you have a problem other than provided. So what now? Of yes. Saturday evening and Sunday they are not working. No pronlemsolving. Never book with carnet. Just rent a car directly

Por favor no utilizar esta plataforma para alquilar un vehiculo. NO vayan a cometer el mismo error que yo hice, ya que son unos estafadores. Te hacen ver que hiciste una reserva y cuando llegas a uno de sus operadores, resulta que no existe dicha reserva, y resultas haciendo una nueva y JAMÁS te hacen el reembolso del dinero. ----------- Veuillez ne pas utiliser cette plateforme pour louer un véhicule. NE faites pas la même erreur que moi, ce sont des arnaqueurs. Ils vous font croire que vous avez effectué une réservation, mais lorsque vous arrivez chez l'un de leurs opérateurs, il s'avère que cette réservation n'existe pas. Vous devez alors en faire une nouvelle, et JAMAIS ils ne vous remboursent l'argent.

We booked our hire car through car jet to be picked up in Tampa Florida at wheego on December 28th 2024.
When we got there we went to the shuttle pick up area and wheego didn't arrive, we rang them for over an hour without answer.
And eventually had to pay for a uber to get to where we were going (over an hour away).
We tried ringing & emailing wheego the next 2 days without answer.
So eventually had to hire a car elsewhere for our holiday.
We reported all this to carjet who had taken our payment and were told that we were a "no show" and that they wouldn't give us our money back!
I emailed the ceo of carjet about 15 times and didn't even get a reply.
After emailing wheego a chap called Daniel kroner eventually admitted that they as we were also called "no show" even though they didn't pick us up or answer the phone, that wheego had not charged carjet.
I again emailed the ceo and my wife contacted carjet to say that wheego had said they hadn't charged carjet, so we would like our money back for a non existent service.
Again we were ignored and told they wouldn't give us our money back (over £300) as we were a "no show" how can we be a "no show" if the service didn't happen?
This company is a scam company and I implore you to ignore their cheap rates and look elsewhere, otherwise suffer the indictment of giving your money away for no service.

Saw advertisement on Car Jet CITYGO: get greater peace of mind right now for only 7.65 € a day – that's just 38.23 € for your whole rental (5days). We were at rental office 8:39 a.m. Guy at office was sitting alone, but told us: it's not your time now, come back at 9 a.m. WHY? BECAUSE no cancellation fee until 9 a.m. After we get back, I wanted to cancell rental, but guy at office told us happily: you have to pay 60 € cancellation fee. We knowed that we were fulling, BUT COULDN'T DO anything. And total price we paid:
Rental fee 38.75 €
Delay fee 24 € (We are gonna return car 6:30 a.m. it's earlier than office working hours)
Extra drivers 40 € (booked car hire, but paid my wife, signed my wife, driver- my wife.)
Fuel 48.50 (sadly no full to full policy)
Tax 4.50 €
Deposit 1800, 00 € (hope to get back).
Avoid this company, better use BOLT or local busses..
