I ordered wheels and caliper caps for my car. I spoke on the phone with an agent rep from CariD because I prefer to personalize my experience when I am making rather expensive purchases. I had an idea of what wheels I wanted to purchase and so the agent walked me through the ordering process. I must have asked him 10 times if these wheels would fit my car with a resounding, "YES!" in response. $1,330.00 and 1 week later, I get an email saying, "We're sorry, but the wheels do not fit your vehicle." I call back, because again I prefer to personalize these instances, and got a vague "automobile part salesman" runaround, which basically suggested I needed to fork over an additional $1,010.00, if I wished to fit those rims on my car. (Something along the lines of their website is malfunctioning, and the weight was unsupportive with the size; but I am thinking the entire time, "HOW CAN I HOLD YOU CREDIBLE IF YOU SOLD ME WHEELS THAT DO NOT FIT MY CAR. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.") At this point I elect to cancel my order and get fully refunded. This cancellation included both the wheels and the callipar caps because I wanted all or nothing, and the rims weren't coming. The confirming cancellation email comes through simultaneous with a notice of shipping email; meaning they cancelled the rims and not the caliper caps! So now I have caliper caps on their way because the agent failed to cancel them, and to add insult to injury, folks, my refund came back $11.50 short of the purchase of the rims and did not include a refund of the caps! Pathetic Experience all the way around.

All the drop-down boxes on the website should generate parts that are "Vehicle Specific."
However, all the parts I ordered: K&N air filter, front rotors brake package, rear rotors break package, and break pads were ALL incorrect and would not it on my 2016 RX450h.
After speaking to customer service three times (was hung-up twice - maybe my fault because I was pretty annoyed), they finally agreed to refund me after they received their items back.
However, please know that two of the customer service reps tried to tell me that I ordered the wrong parts. (which I didn't know that was a possibility as the drop-down menus indicate what type of car it is for...)

So I ordered things for my new car. I got half the order on Sept20 waited 3 days hoping the rest will get here Nothing called in they told me by Oct23 a whole month away ok ill wait its Oct23 and Nothing
And give them 3 day and AGAIN NO PACKAGE now Oct26 I call in and they say maybe will be sent out tomorrow WTF horrible place never again

Carid is one of the best auto parts suppliers with high quality and reduced rate. I have bought many parts such as brake pad and rotor, air filter and batteries and everything looks wonderful. It is one of the best place to shop in for auto parts.
I ordered parts for my car from carid twice. Both times the site showed that they had it in stock and ready to ship. They were wrong. The items were back ordered. Luckily I dealt with Ebony Black. She was the lady that helped me out both times I ordered from carid. She found ways to make it up to me by giving me discounts and gift cards. All my future orders are going to be through her. CarID.com has the worst customer service and the worst handling of returns of any company I have ever dealt with in my life. I ordered seat covers and discussed it with their sales rep before putting in the order because I was concerned about getting the correct shape. When I received my seat covers they were not the correct shape, so I tried to exchange them. When I contacted their customer service they said they would have to investigate to determine what the correct seat covers would be and that it would take about 24 to 48 hours. A week later, after contacting them about it again, I just decided to contact the actual manufacturer. I should have done that from the very beginning because it took about 10 minutes. Then I contacted carid.com again to put in the order for the correct cover and that took another week. To make a long story short, I got the correct cover in the mail about seven weeks after I put in my original order. I'm just so pissed, it just doesn't seem like they care about taking care of the customers they only want the dollars. As another reviewer said just use REI I think I will look into that but I certainly will not use carid.com again for anything ever ever ever again.

Even if they are the cheapest rims you could find, DO NOT PURCHASE THEM THROUGH THIS COMPANY. My rims were back ordered and not shipped how I asked them to be shipped.(Tires mounted on the rims and not inflated, recieved the tires separate from rims, cost me more for shipping) Paid an extra hundred dollars to get the rims custom drilled, nope. They messed that up too. If I could, I would give them zero stars. There is a reason they have more 1 Star comments than the rest.

I wanted to make a purchase from this company but was unsure about an issue I had. They have three forms of contact either through email or phone calls or through chat. I decided to use chat so I can talk to somebody immediately. Thankfully I dealt with someone call Hank and even though he wasn't able to resolve my issue with the question that I had he was able to assist me in another way that went above and beyond and that makes it worth it to deal with this company again. So because of Hank and how easy it is to contact them and the way I was helped I will be purchasing all my future parts and accessories from here.
I needed to order Rixxu classic front & rear seat covers, but shipping costs way too much coz they charge it per item, which doesn't make sense! $60! I emailed them but unfortunately they said they have no control over the shipping company... huh? Apparently it seemed that the rep was outsourced so definitely they have no control nor idea about shipping details. Fortunately I called the following morning and was able to talk to Luis. He explained to me that one of the items aren't available yet the reason they charge double. Estimated time the item will be available will be on the 10th of November yet which is 3 weeks from the time I ordered(Oct21) a little bit long for me but still manageable. He proceeded to take my order and charged me 30$ for shipping, still high. $20-$25 would be reasonable for me.
I could have given this 4 stars but my overall experience could vouch for a 5 stars since the agent Luis was knowledgable with what he's doing, has quick service and passionate with the customers Thank you CarID!
I recently purchased a set of wheels from carid, when they arrived I had them mounted only to find out 2 of them were warped. I called the company with the report form tires plus that the wheels were defective. They told me I had to go back and have the wheels measured again at the tire place that I would have to pay for just to see if the company would warranty them. Plus I would have to pay for the shipping back if they could do anything at all. The customer service representative was rude and unhelpful and the manager was dismissive. This company is terrible I would not recommend doing business with them.
