I wish I would have checked here first as I would have never booked with this company.

I ordered an automatic convertible for one day, they charged me $111 which I was fine with as the booking said it would be comparable to a Saab 9.3 convertible.

The car company they negotiated with brought me a manual Suzuki (which costs about $50/day).

I refused the car as it is NOT what was agreed upon in our confirmation and none of us could even drive it!

Now, I'm dealing with support and they are doing an investigation which can take up to 28 days! The fact is, they did not send the car agreed upon which I paid top dollar for, they need to refund the money! Still waiting

We booked a convertible for one day to have some fun with my kids. At arrival they said, no convertible at all. But don't worry, we are gonna get refund... It was 24 days ago. Customer service contacted hundred times, but no answer. Finally today I've got an answer, they have to investigate this case, it can take up to 28 days! What? I paid for a car, what I couldn't rent, because someone made a mistake. Why I have to wait to get my money back? BTW. I used my creditcard ones on my holiday, and on the same day someone duplicated it and spent £1400... So there is no question it was the Economybookings.com!

In case if Rental Company is unable to provide pre-ordered car class due to high season or due to some other reasons, they have to provide an alternative or make a free upgrade to the customer.

In case if Supplier provided lower class car than was pre-ordered, we promise you to provide a reimbursement from guilty side.

They are cowboys. How they managed to get on as a supplied god knows. These are the perils of the internet. Booked a car in italy via them fully inclusive so they said. When i went to pick the car up i was told i had to pay addition Euos40 per day insurance. When I mentioned I was told I already paid they told me that is not true. On top of that these cowboys will not tell you unless you ask how much money they withold. These people give cowboys a bad name... DONT USE. You have been warned

I reserved a Dodge Grand Caravan to be picked up Feb 11 from Fox at the San Francisco Airport. When I arrived at the rental counter, the line was literally out the door. There were only 2 agents servicing the line and I counted 63 people in front of me. I waited in line for 30 minutes and it moved forward 10 feet. I expect it would have taken in excess of 3 hours to get to the front of the line. I ended up renting a car from Hertz at a walk-in rate in 20 minutes in order to get to my appointment in time.
After many delays, customer service offered a refund less a $50 "Administrative fee" and told me I was lucky I got any refund. And it will be 45 more days before I get it (if I get it). What did I do wrong to cost me $50? (They said I should have called them). What did they do right to deserve it?

They are a rip off

I booked a rental car with this company. They did not disclose there hidden condition/terms and when I went to pick up my rental car I was told I could not have the car I booked. When I returned from my trip I was told by there customer service department that I would not get a refund after waiting over a month for someone to get back to me. PLEASE do not use this company for any of you bookings because you may find yourself stranded at the airport just as I was.

I rented a car in Seattle from Fox Rentals through Booking Group.com. In July 2015. Everything went well. Then at the end of December 2015 they charged my credit card $320. I tried to find out what this charge was for. On Feb. 1 2016 they responded with an e-mail that made no sense as to what I was charged for. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company, but it appears that they think that since they have your account number, they can just charge you any time. I tried to call them in December and got a very rude man who told me that I was calling the call center not the service dept. though it was the only number on the e-mail that I received saying they were charging my account. The original e-mail only said they were charging me with no explanation or even the amount they were charging. I had to get that from my credit card statement. I was originally pleased with my experience in July, but now I have to keep checking my statement to make sure they don't keep charging me more. This is crazy.

I receive very bad information about insurance coverage and I was requested to pay a high amount of extra money to get the car. When I send my complaints to them, they took more than a month to answer denying any responsibility on this issue.
I'll never use this service again.

According to the Booking Group policy, absolutely all Terms and Conditions of the rental agreement and additional options are available on the booking engine when you select the car type and enter other relevant information. The requirement to pay any Fees regarding cancellation mentioned on the website BEFORE you have paid the prepayment.

Absolute Scam
January 27, 2016

Booked a car for a 7 day holiday in Greece. Car was to be a new model Landrover or similar. Arrived at the airport and was presented with a 1994 Landrover. Refused the car and went to a reputable car rental company and rented a new jeep. Have been trying to get a refund back for the deposit paid. Now being told 1) I should have called on the day I had a problem, even though their terms and conditions state you have 30 days to make a complaint and request refund. 2) Was apparently offered a Lexus they have sent me pictures of the car which is parked outside a residential property somewhere in Greece. 3) I have been told They believe the car rental company and not me. Wow. Stick to booking with a reputable company it's not worth the hassle so far from home!

We booked a hire car through Booking Group/Economy Bookings, a broker, for our stay in Mallorca in September as they advised on their website that there was no charge for a second driver. On our arrival at Palma Airport we were advised by the car hire company that a 2nd driver was not free and, since it was 02.00 am, we had no option but to pay for the 2nd driver and then contact Booking Group on our return for a refund. We took out their "Go Pack" service, which reduced the charge for the 2nd driver but meant an additional charge for petrol to return the car full of petrol instead of empty as planned. This was in the end cheaper than paying the full cost for the 2nd driver.

We contacted Booking Group's Customer Service, based in Latvia, on our return and explained the situation. After several e-mails back and forth and several phone calls to their office in Latvia we were offered a partial refund plus a credit note for a future booking. They advised they could not offer a full refund, despite the fact that we had saved the company money by taking out the "Go Pack Service", but eventually, three months later, I finally received a full refund after threatening to contact BBC Watchdog and the Trading Standards Institute with my complaint.

I would certainly never use Booking Group/Economy Bookings again, which is why I refused their offer of a credit towards a future booking. Nor would I recommend this company to anyone wishing to book with a reputable car rental company.

When I reviewed my bank statement there was a trace put on the amount I gave the representative when I reserved, then canceled a car rental (all via telephone). Two subsequent withdrawals of $402.50 were taken from my account. When I contacted a representative, she laughed and stated how do I know the breach came from them and that I had no proof. She also refused to direct me to a manager or supervisor. Needless to say I'll be contacting my bank tomorrow, but I know the breach came from them.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get a refund since October. Their phone numbers don't work, unless your trying to book a rental. They lie about services. Save yourself.

Communication refusal
November 25, 2015

I'd like to warn others about this renting car company. After a reservation cancelling, I was charged the full price for the car. I made a complaint immediately and it has been more than 2 months since I heard of them for the last time. The only replies I've got was from the automated messaging center.
They refuse any communication with me and I haven't received any reply how the complaint was solved by them.

My name is Tracy Swain and I was to receive a full size rental for one week through Dollar Rent a Car@ the Philadelphia International Airport. I asked if debit cards were accepted and I was told 'yes' and I proceeded to give my banking information. The cost for the rental was $301.00 and that amount was withdrawn from my account. The rental was supposed to received by myself on October 25,2015 and to be returned on November 1,2015. When I got to Dollar Rent a Car@ the Philadelphia International Airport I was informed that even though payment could be made with a debit card the rental could only be secured by a credit card in which I informed Booking Group.com that I did not have. My booking (conformation) number is B******* and since I did not receive the rental I would like to have the aforementioned amount ($301.00) returned to my account.

I had made two car rentals one in Fort Lauderdale after arriving there the cost of the car was substantially higher than quoted and they sold me worthless insurance which I tried to cancel immediately and was given the run around. When I got home I called to cancel my plans through booking group for Miami in December. Not only was the customer service rep yelling at me to listen to him... I told him hello I am the customer you listen to me cancel everything and then he hung up the phone. I reported them to my credit card company and I certainly won't be paying either bill.

In terms and conditions was clearly stated point concern additional extras and options. That all additional extras and options are not included to the car price and they are taxable.
We have checked status of your issue and we can confirm that Rental Company charged you for the correct amount. Difference shown in your bank statement can be in case of bank covertation.

I have been waiting for this company to respond to my emails and phone calls for 3 weeks now. I booked a month in advance and paid. Upon arrival was told there were no cars available and to rent from another location (it is midnight) and they would reimburse the cost. I paid more than double as a walk up customer at another rental company and have been trying to recoup this money from booking group to no avail with nothing in return, just headache. Worst company customer service ever!
