I rented a car with this company a month ago and they charged me a $280 deposit, and when i got down to the airport to pick up the car the car company had never heard of them. After contacting them about this they said they were very sorry for the inconvenience and would refund my card within 10 - 15 business days. I am still waiting for refund they no long return emails or pick-up the phone..."TOTAL SCAMMER'S!

Offices close at 6 and they are not open weekends which means we have no car insurance for the next 3 days in the USA.
I emailed several photographs of my rental papers as requested. When I phone back the operator said they are out of the office.
How can Dollar let me have a car with no insurance. They did not even ask to see if I have my own insurance (I do not). They let me decline the insurance AND STILL TAKE THE CAR.
An email they sent shows in BIG LETTERS that the amount due at the airport is $0.00. Yet when I collect the car the want $100's more for insurance. Please sort out your communication!
I expect a full refund after the lack of customer support.

I rent a car and I paid for a full cover protection, however my flight was overbooked and I tried to call their rental car partners. I haven't received any customer support from anybody.
They can sell you something very good because they just want your money. After that, forget it! The customer service doesnt exist.
Booked with them, paid deposits with them, turn up to airport to NO car & NO booking registered. Paid double the amount to rent another car from another company at the airport. Contacted them by email after returning home to ask what happened and request a refund. They said we were a "No Show"! Why would we be a no show and pay double the amount to hire from another company? Extremely disappointed in not only customer service but also none of the hire car companies had heard of Economy Bookings at the airport and I went to them all!
Booked a car months ago through this company. Did not inform me of outer hour service charge which was more than the car hire itself. Not only that but the car company Goldcar was badly managed. From pickup location and waiting times and really bad inconsistant Terms and Conditions... So I received Double problems and mis information. Avoid both companies at all cost
I booked through this site. The booking went through and charged me 252 GBP extra. I have just gone through the same procedure. To see where this comes in on the booking.
It is nowhere they ask for card details for reservation only? Went to pick up car and they are telling us that it is another company that sounds like them. They cant do anything. Booking. Com, booker. Con it is. I will take this through as far as is possible. What a world we live in. Must be huddled together thinking of ways to fleece people. It will take my daughter a weeks work to pay for this. No Blame and no shame for all those concerned. Human beings!? Absolute cretins. We were charged an extra 29.99 Euro by French car hire company for hire outline cleaning after a weeks car hire! We did 53 kms in that week, just to our accom and back to the airport. No kids, one bag, the car was spotless!
The booking company did nothing to get us a refund.
I made a reservation, agreed on the deposit of $32.01 USD, the amount to pay at the car pick-up location, and was emailed an invoice. I was then CHARGED AGAIN for "Full Excess Protection" insurance at and additional $45 USD that I DID NOT AGREE TO, nor ever hear about. I received a second invoice.
I have now been trying to get this $45 USD refunded for the past 3-months. The company has told me multiple times over that they will call me back, but has just been ignoring my requests. BookingGroup is BAD BUSINESS.
I rented a car through this website some days ago. They recommended me to buy a full insurance for the car and so I did. I paid an extra cost for the insurance that was going to cover the car for one week. When I arrived at the airport the rent company said that the car was not insured and he assured me that if something shuold happen to the car it would get EXPENSIVE. I explained him that I already paid for an insurance through the website. "we have nothing to do with this, and your car is not insured". For the insurance I had to pay 28 euros per day and ended up paying an extra 200 euros just for insurance because the one I already paid for was apparently not valid. I asked if I could cancel the booking or change something, but of course the cancellation was more expensive then the car itself. The website had just charged me for some bull$#*! I needed to pay for again. I will never rent a car through this site again.
This company totally miss sold me on full protection and told me it would be all i needed to be fully covered. After picking up the car I was told this cover had no reflection on my hire and I had to get further cover from the car company.
After emailing I had to wait 2 weeks for a pathetic robotic response.
Long story short. Wasted money for a one day rental.
I don't recommend using this company.
In Aug. 2017, I booked a car from Economy Booking website, Booking Number (B*******) for 10 days with a total cost of 388.63 Euro, they mentioned that the amount due is 146.47 Euro and the amount pay when i receive the car is 242.16 Euro will be charge by Megadrive, the company will give me the car so they charged my credit card 146.47 Euro. I return the car to Mega drive after 7 days on 20Aug. 2017, they calculate the total rent and send me the final invoice which equal to 367.00 Euro. I sent email to Mega drive asking about the due amount (146.47 Euro)that the Economy Booking charged my credit card in the beginning of the reservation, they answer me that it is not included in the rental cost, so the Economy Booking Company wrongly charged me 142.47 Euro. They took the money which they don't deserve. I sent them several email, but no response.

I was charged $340 for a car I never received on my citi card. Iwas also charged $238. For the toyota camry. Ishould have been reimbursed for 340$ for the car I did not get. These people are crooks. They pray on the public and steal their money. I booked two cars for Christmas as my 4 children and 8 grandchildren are flying in for a week long visit. I inadvertently put in arrival time as 10:00am instead of 10:00pm. I immediately called them(took 63 minutes)to change it. I wasted 3hours. There is no changing and when I reads these reviews, I saw their scam. If you are late picking up. NO CAR> NO REFUND. Stay away from these creeps. I have called our Attorney General and hopefully, she will go after them.
(27. 7. 2017)... car rental booked in Malta and paid half fee in December to the value of £124.00 to collect at 9am. Forgetting the clocks went forward we landed at 10.20am. To be told first that my car had not been booked as the name was Mov and not Nichola Moy. Then after waiting on the phone to bookinggroup.com for 30 minutes before I could get an answer, to be told that my car was cancelled as I was an hour late as the booking under my terms and conditions were allowed to do this and I would lose all the money I paid. Asked if they had a car to be told yes we have a car (of course they do my car) but the cost will now be £641 and now a £350 deposit on top, £1000. What a insult... I request this looked into and a full refund is giveb but told no refund.
They really should not be allowed to treat customers in such an appalling way.
We booked in April for a rental car for pickup at Brisbane airport. After paying Economy Bookings, we found out there was no car for us and had booked out two weeks before. Still charged us and no luck with a refund.
Do not book with Economy Bookings online or Booking Group.
Stick to the rental
Should never trust this website, its a Con! I have booked for Barcelona and the front page features unlimited mileage, whereby T&C suggested otherwise, obviously i though the feature page(on the front page) is correct, as sometime(2nd page) may not be accurate, only after the booking, when i seen the booking voucher it showed limited mileage, range them 5 mins after - apparently to cancel they want 20 EURO, even though its their mistake where they wrongly advertised the unlimited mileage.
Guys! Please save yourself some money! Go with other broker but never with bookinggroup.

Flew half way round the world to visit a sick relative, with rental booked at Vancouver. On arrival was told I could not have the car, as I did not have a credit card. This was not mentioned during the online booking. No offers of cash guarantee, Debit card, wife's Credit or Debit card, passport held in safe etc. etc. Were accepted. Used another rental company. Submitted complaint - and told "read the small print". Company now fails to answer all and any queries. Even worse - their UK office has been forcibly closed down as they failed to submit legally required accounts in valid timeframe. WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS!
I made a reservation in May and paid 180 euros for a car rental in France, Nice. The car should be taken in trip n drive. Today, 2 days before my rental I receive the information that the car is not available. They offer me another one for 9 euros more. I accept under the condition that there are no other fees. I receive a confirmation mail that stated that I paid an account of 56 euros. I paid 180 euros in May already and they want now 130 euros more. I cannot cancel the reservation anymore, the time span of 48h cancelation before the rental passed. I am still waiting for more news, but I guess that this whole thing will completely destroy my holidays. If there is a positive evolution I will keep you informed, but I already lost so much time and energy on this that the holiday is gonna be a nightmare.
