Terrible customer service - insulting and unprofessional responses - I would have reported the individual to the ceo but there is no telephone contact info- I'm sure this employee doesn't represent the company in a positive way - they should lose their job
I originally placed an order for two shorts in June. They charged me 15 dollars for next day shipping. One of the shorts showed in stock at the time of the order, and was in fact out of stock; and the other, did not get shipped next day... or the day after. When the shorts did come in, they already had threads coming out. I email the customer service about all of these issues, and they respond with a real d-bag flavor, and no resolution to any of these problems and then the guy signs off the email with "don't hate me, Matt"... so I returned the shorts with issues and tried to swap out... they were out of stock and sent a email telling to respond back to get the issue resolved. Five... FIVE days later... guess who's back? Matt... his response? "We've received your message but holy heck it's summer and summer means we are slammed! To help tackle any and all customer support requests though, we've just unrolled a brand new FAQ page."
I ordered one pair of "Mitch Cumsteins Classic" shorts. The color is off white with green lining. They are comfortable but it ends there. The belt loops are too small for the type of belts used by golfers. There is NO fly and after I washed my shorts just one time the draw string frayed and is useless (see photo). I emailed the company and have not head back from them. I would not recommend this company.
My free item was not in my order and after attempting to message and email them several times I finally got a response and was not helpful nor did they even tried to fix the problem! First and last time ordering from them.

I ordered a pair of Birddogs. Have worn them about 6-7 times to the beach now that the weather is warming up. Haven't even worn them into the ocean yea because the water is to cold to swim. Noticing a rip in them I immediately wrote to Birddogs. They said I was at day 96 of my 90 day warranty and they told me to sew the rips up myself. So I paid $60 ish for a pair of shorts that lasted 6 or 7 wears.
Your ads are a joke. The extreme effort to shock the audience makes them not shocking at all and reason enough will never by your dumb schtick or your products. Why do you have to act like such idiots if you have a good product?
Very similar to other reviews here placed an order in the beggining of april for two pairs of shorts firsy pair shipped and are nice.
2nd pair was said to ship may1st. Fast foward to middle of may send a email about it with no response.
About a week later sent another e-mail and got a very unprofessional email sayin you need to 8nclide tour order number for help the end. Dewpit my oder number being in the subject of the e-mail and in the body of the email with pictures!
Sent 2 more emails in june! 2 months after my order with no response until i tried to get my money back from paypal and recived a shipping notification a label has been made and a tracking emqil with a follow up thay says it musy be usps because we have done everything on our side. Another week goes by and i call usps about the package and they still have no recieved anything to be shipped...
Worst experience ever
Two weeks after my purchase birddogs sent me a sarcastically worded email about how they "must" be out of one of the shorts I ordered. Two whole weeks to figure out they are sold out of one of their products. It's now 6 weeks later and I still don't have the other pair. They use some insanely roundabout way to ship to save money and extend the delivery time by WEEKS. Now my package was returned to DHL (the company that took three weeks to send it one state away) because birddogs can't address a package. Please please please don't waste your time on this company. They care absolute not about their customers.
It's true what people have been writing - this operation is a scam. They never sent me my shorts and I have gotten no word from customer service.
These guys are absolute clowns. I saw the ad on FB for pants with liners, thought it was brilliant idea, especially since I was going to be stuck in my house working from home for the forceable future. Website was hilarious, maybe not your humor, but right up my alley. I love supporting online business with niche products and was hoping this would be a good experience. Every single thing you have read from others with shipping and customer service issues is 100% true. When I ordered almost 60 days ago, there was nothing on the website about delays, or I would not have ordered. The entire point of the purchase was to get the pants to wear during lock down while I'm sitting on my $#*! in zoom calls all day. The first email I sent in after a month of nothing was returned with some bull $#*! snarky response about "your lucky I'm sending this email, cause I'm a nice guy and don't have to". Just like others, my pants were supposed to ship on May1, then heard nothing. Had to email again twice to now find out that they are delayed to August! Dude told me to remember if I wanted a refund that I would be "put in the back of the line" if I ordered again when stock was better and that "Birddogs always sell out". These guys have a supply chain issue, probably because the liners a sown in on pants they get from another location at a sweat shop in asia that is Covid impacted, and they have no control over the situation. To make it worse, these guys make it sound like its do to such a demand for such a wonderful product and we should all be happy to just have an order in. Does eternal life come inside the liners of the pants? The product may be great, although some reviews of deliveries during Covid time seem to say otherwise. Again, the humor is great, but you can't carry that over to customer service response. So basically here is the deal, if you are in the business of giving a company a zero % interest loan with your money, during the worst economic crisis in human history, and receive nothing back in return, order away baby, cause this fraternity that sells shorts is happy to cash your check. I'm sending one more email in for a refund and then I'm reporting this as fraud.
I have ordered from this company countless times. My shorts wardrobe is almost entirely birddog shorts. I recently started ordering their pants. The first 2 pairs I got were amazing but my thurd pair i recently ordered was terrible. The quality was different looked cheaper didnt fit well. They have absolutely started to cut costs and change the quality which was the main reason I liked them in the first place. It seems like in order to meet demand they are starting to take short cuts. To top it off the customer service is awful. The orders take awhile there are complaints of people not getting their orders or money back. This is an example of a great product but a terrible business. I am disappointed and saddened because while the product is great the company is not. Ordering may not be worth the gamble of not knowing what you are gonna get.
Tl; dr Low-quality pants, non-existent customer service, do not order.
Ordered TWO pairs of pants in March... fast forward a week, received ONE pair of pants? The pants were missing the sewing/stitching on one of the pockets at the bottom; literally not even making it a pocket anymore. I tried to contact them through the chat function on the website... automated response saying an agent will be right with you... no response. I sent another email a week later, now April... no response. Received a generic email at the end of April stating there were delays in shipping pants and that they were going to be shipped May 1. Waited until May 1, no shipping email received. I gave them a couple of weeks just in case it was delayed again. Now 2.5 weeks later, still no second pair of pants. Emailed them again on May 13 for an update and still have not received a response! Look, I have worked in retail in the past, I gave them the benefit of doubt for 2 months. I tried to follow-up multiple times. They may be out of business? Maybe their warehouse is shutdown from COVID? I'm not sure, but there has been no communication from them and now I may be out over $200.
The people who work with birddogs literally have no clue what is happening within their own business. I ordered two shorts and a pair of pants over a month ago and while the shorts arrived, the pants never did. Below are some quotes from the customer service rep (Drew):
"I wish I had a solid ETA for you man! We are trying to get them out by the end of the next two weeks! Usually this time of the year we are operating with a huge staff so I am overestimating this for the sake of my pal at the warehouse! It should be sooner though." (4/08/20) THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.
"My dude, I wish that I even understood our marketing, but your order in inline to ship when we have the pants in your size!" (4/15/20)
Please avoid doing business with these people at all costs. While I like the shorts, it just isn't worth the hassle if they screw something up--which it looks like they do quite often.
Placed an order on April 23 that stated shipping and arrival 4-8 days later. AMEX charged immediately. 17 days later, no product, I emailed asking for an update. No response to the email, but an immediate shipping notification for half of my order. That's been 3 days and the tracking number still says that only a shipping label has been created and item hasn't been delivered for shipping. Fine if COVID-19 is causing delays, but communicate that to your customers and on your website. I'll give them a few more days and then I'll just have AMEX do a chargeback.
Customer service doesn't exist and I'm not sure if the company is even legit. Paid $95 for a pair of pants and never received an email confirmation. Emailed them a week after the order to get an update. I received an initial response saying that they had the order and it would be shipping in a day or so. I requested an order confirmation at that time. Another week gone by with multiple unanswered emails and no delivery. They won't be around long. Maybe they're already gone.
I wish I could add a photo for proof of purchase, took my money and never sent the pants. "Mr. Nice Guy" Matt followed up with an email stating my delivery was pushed to another date, still never received anything and now they won't respond to any request for an updated shipping date or a refund. Absolutely horrendously run company. Throw your money out the window, at least you won't have the stress of having to deal with their customer service team.
Ordered a pair of pants early March and told they would ship on 4/10. Received no update after emailing on 4/14 and then again on 4/17. I finally got a response telling me an update would be coming wicked soon. I didn't want something cute I wanted an answer. I told them I was frustrated but nothing even close to service recovery. I have asked for a refund due to horrible service and lack of transparency regarding product availability.
The shorts can't be used in the pool as advertised. They get so heavy that they can't stay up and they never dry. Aside from that their advertising and arrogance, as evidenced by their appearance on Shark Tank presentation is reprehensible.
I understand part of their marketing is frat guy / non PC but when they mess up an order you'd think they'd break character for a second to help make it right.
I love their shorts. The quality, comfort, and durability are on par with LuLuLemon. So no complaints there.
But they sent me two products in the wrong size. I messaged them and their response was basically "ya sorry". Since my products were part of a promotion they said there's nothing they can do about it on my first email and never responded after that. I'm so torn because this company has such potential. But I won't be ordering from them again simply because they could care less about their customers.
Answer: Its legit, albeit run terribly. Believe the horror stories you read in reviews about customer service. Its real
Answer: Yes. I would checkout Chubbies or Lululemon. Both are superior products, and they ship out when they say. And have amazing customer service.
Answer: Impossible. Days, weeks will go by if you somehow do receive a response. And if you do receive a response, they are very disrespectful.
