I booked a room with 2 double beds with Sleep Inn at Miami Airport for my family of 4. They moved my reservation to Holiday Inn, but when we showed up the room was for a king sized bed. The hotel was over booked and since the room was already paid for there was nothing to be done but put the fourth person on a chair and try to get some sleep. To make matters worse the bed had been peed in so we had to flip over the mattress and sleep on the hard side, I have submitted a complaint but I hold out little hope of getting a refund. This company did not seem to care when I talked to them. I would stay away.

AMOMA scam
March 24, 2016

Avoid using AMOMA at all costs. Trying to change a reservation (was arriving and leaving a day later than anticipated) was not doable, according to a representative. I thought, "Well, my bad," sucked it up and paid for the first night I would not be in town, and bought an additional night for my stay. Upon arriving at my destination, I called the hotel about check in times for my separate reservations, and lo and behold, I find out I have no reservations. The first one that I was unable to amend was cancelled due to a no-show (I was half way across the country yet and had not been told that this could happen by customer support) and the second reservation didn't exist on their books. And on top of all of that, I have been in contact with customer support to obtain some sort of refund for the past month, and customer support has been largely dismissive and refuses to do anything. So 0, possibly negatively negative stars for AMOMA, for costing me $400 plus the price of booking a hotel that would house me last minute and serious distress.

AMOMA Scam
March 21, 2016

Be very careful with this company. When you pay it directs you to a scam site called Savethedeals.com and provides them with your details. Savethedeals then takes money out of your account each month and the only fix is to cancel all of your cards. Amoma knows all about this and there are hundreds of complaints on the web, but they will not even answer an email about the concerns.

Horrible customer service
February 27, 2016

The trip was good the reservation good but when it came to issuing my refund they were not trying to help me or work with me. They issued my refund on my company card which paid for the trip but I tried to hold the reservation with my personal card. All they could say was have your company reimburse you. The tone they used was harsh and nonchalant - they don't care about anything but getting your money - horrible service! Run

I made a reservation with a Washington hotel last fall, not realizing that the reservation was being handled by AMOMA. When I attempted to cancel my reservation online, they: a) took about a week to acknowledge the cancellation, b) would not pick up the phone despite an hour's wait, c) charged me $70 (20% of my initial charge) for the privilege of canceling.

In all future hotel reservations, I will be sure to check the fine print to avoid any dealings with AMOMA.

Had to cancel a reservation and was very happy with the service I received was right on the ball. Within a week was the amount was deposited back into my account. The room that I booked was at a wonderful price and the reservation had been confirmed within hours. Would definitely use again.

Terrible company. No refund even if hotel will give refund. If you want to change from king bed to 2 queens you have to purchase a whole other room. Can you believe that...

I have literally had to hang up the phone after being placed on hold for over an hour and twenty minutes! They literally DO NOT CARE! They say in their terms that you can make changes to your booking with only a $60 charge. THIS IS A LIE. When I tried to reduce the booking from 4 nights to 3 nights, they kept me dangling for 10 DAYS saying they needed to "check with the supplier" and then returned to say that the room price would go up and that I would have to pay more for 3 nights than for 4 nights. I mean this is the worst thing I have ever heard of! Who does that? Still waiting on a response to my multiple phone calls and messages... I will never use this site again!

Booked a stay on 2/4/16 in Miami for Memorial Day weekend 2016. Complete payment was required at the time of booking and the amount was debited from my account. After I booked, I then decided to look at reviews (probably should've done that first). I saw that 98% of the reviews are bad so I got very nervous and was ready to call my bank to cancel. I called the hotel and they had no info on me. I then called Amoma Customer Service to confirm my reservation as I hadn't received the email or voucher confirmation. I was on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Once I got through, the rep told me not to worry and confirmed my reservation. She then sent me the confirmation email and voucher while on the phone. I asked her why they had so many negative reviews and she replied "Don't worry about the reviews. People only write the bad and not the good stuff". I also asked her about why the hotel didn't have anything on me. She said it could take a few hours or up to a week before my trip. I advised that there was NO WAY I was going to wait for a confirmation a week before my trip. She said that she would ask for everything to be expedited. After speaking with her, I called the hotel directly and again they had nothing on me. On the verge of calling my bank to cancel the reservation all together, I emailed the hotel directly. I received an email back from the hotel CONFIRMING my reservation. I then called and spoke to the person from the hotel that emailed me and she confirmed that she had the reservation. This made me feel a little more comfortable. However, I followed up the hotel on Monday (2/8) and spoke with the customer service area who could NOT find my reservation. I was told that she didn't have access to see bookings through a 3rd party. I asked for them to have manager email me because I don't understand why it matters whether its a 3rd party or not. If you have a reservation, in my mind, no matter how its booked, it should be able to be pulled up by customer service. I will keep this post going until my trip! Fingers crossed everything goes well.

UPDATE! 6-20-16-- Everything went well! We arrived at our hotel, checked in with NO PROBLEMS. What a relief! I was nervous up until the front desk confirmed they had my reservation for the 3 nights and handed me the room keys. The room was just as I booked, no surprises. This time, Amoma worked out for me.

Amoma is a rip off
February 8, 2016

I show up at the hotel and find that Amoma has canceled my reservation because I did not answer an email they sent while I was flying. But, of course they billed me for the room! I contact them for a refund and they tell me that they will not refund my money, that I must contact my bank and report a fraudulent charge! What the...?

Truly the best scam going, I am on my vacation, out $200 dollars and no customer service from Amoma. I checked online and they have so many complaints, I wish I would have checked their reviews before booking with them. BUYER BEWARE!

Beware of AMOMA
February 3, 2016

Amoma seems to be expanding in the hotel search sites (Trivago & Kayak). I had a BAD experience with them last year (2015) and vowed never to do book with them again. I checked the many other bad experiences described in reviews to make sure mine was not an isolated incident. I avoid them at all costs and actually just did booking VDay weekend in Orlando. I paid more rather than risk a booking with them!
Stay away from AMOMA! They are bad news! Terrible access to service, and terrible attitudes, pushy service people who treat you like you are trying to rip them off! They come across as slippery and underhanded.
Shame on Trivago and Kayak for listing their deals at all.

Please Stay Away
January 22, 2016

I book at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center via Trivago which forwarded me to amoma.com. The rate was the lowest available. I prepaid for the room, once I got to the hotel I there I was told that they did not have a reservation for me. I contact Amoma.com and the customer service rep spoke with the hotel staff to no avail. I was then told by the Amoma customer service rep that he had to contact a 3rd party supplier to resolve the issue and that the 3rd party supplier was already closed for the day; consequently, I had to find another room at a more expensive rate.
Amoma claimed to have opened an investigation to determine what happened so they could refund my money. Their investigation result was that I was a no show for the reservation and that they could not refund me the money. This stuck me as odd because I spoke with them multiple times afterwards and was told that they customer service rep had noted that he spoke with the hotel staff. I later did some research and found that I was not alone apparently Amoma has done the exact thing to multiple people. Never again and I would advise you not to.

I booked a room at the Embassy Suites in Palm Beach Gardens before I read many negative reviews about this company. Needless to say, I was worried that I had made a mistake. The rate that AMOMA advertised was over 50% cheaper than any other website. I figured that I had been screwed. So I called to confirm my reservation at the hotel and the reservation was legit. When I arrived at the hotel I had no problems at check-in and the rate that I paid through AMOMA was honored at the hotel. I would use this company again.

Never again
January 12, 2016

Reserved and paid for room in New Orleans for December 2015. They canceled the reservation four weeks prior to visit and offered another hotel necessitating a taxi ride away. I declined and requested a refund which took weeks to get. Not a pleasant experience due to their total inexperience with American business customs. I called the hotel directly and was advised rooms were available. NEVER AGAIN, stay away from these clowns

Was scared but NO ISSUES
December 22, 2015

(I posted this on another site already - trying to spread my POSITIVE experience)
I found amoma through trivago; they showed the lowest price for the New York City hotel that I was looking at for the weekend before Christmas. I called and booked with the help of the phone agent. It was a different process than I was used to, but it worked. Got instant confirmation upon paying the full amount online. I then looked up reviews just to see. Didn't like what I saw since most were negative, talking about missed/mistaken reservations and/or refunds. I called the hotel a few hours later to see if my reservation was there (the agent said it would be within 3 hours), but it was not. That got me a bit fearful. Called again in the morning - nothing. The person said it would take up to 3 days. I waited another 2 days or so and, VOILA... The reservation was there at the hotel - confirmed and ready for us! What a relief. Of course, I called a few more times closer to the reservation to make sure it hadn't been cancelled, and it was not.
When we got to the hotel, not only was the reservation still there, but we also got an amazing free upgrade - from a room with 2 double beds to a bigger suite with a view. This part probably had nothing to do with Amoma but rather, the man who was kind enough to do this for us at check-in.
I said right there and then that I would write Amoma a good review to put hesitant people at ease and help the company with their reputation.
Would I use Amoma again? Probably, yes. They did great!

Paid for a hotel through this company and they made the reservation, but failed to pay for the room. I had to pay for the vacation again when I arrived. Would not respond to inquiries. Working with credit card company to reverse charge.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SCAM. I wish I had looked up all the reviews prior to trying to book a hotel. If you happen to get tied up with them, I suggest that you immediately stop payment at your bank or alert your credit card company. I checked a box on their website to pay a 10% deposit for a hotel room. They charged the entire amount immediately. Then, when I cancelled the room upon finding out what they had done, they sent me an email letting me know that I could not cancel the room or I would be charged 100% of what was paid, $1032. Their cancellation policy indicated if I canceled the same day but prior to 1 week of my stay, the cancellation fee would be $60. WOW. I immediately stopped payment from my bank.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
November 8, 2015

I randomly came across this company as I was searching for a hotel in Bergen Norway.
The price they were offering was a lot better than the other companies.
We booked straight away but then the website said that the booking was declined.
I was immediately called by a London number and it was AMOMA. They said that there was one room left in the hotel and they would take the card details over the phone & get the room booked straight away.
I gave the card details and went to my email and clicked the confirmation and then he said he'd call me back.
He called back after a few minutes and told me that the room had actually gone but they had some alternatives that weren't anywhere near as good as the original hotel AND I then went on to google the rooms and they were all more expensive than the other websites.
I rang and demanded my money back and I've still not received it! This website is an absolute con & they just trick you into paying them your money & then they don't want to know.
If I don't receive my refund in the next few days I'm going to be taking them to small claims court!
Totally crap company! Steer well clear!

I booked a hotel in Prague and less than 24 hours before my arrival they canceled my reservation. Yes, they offered a different hotel but all that pretty much messed up my schedule. I rather stay with Booking.com in the future!
