Reef Hotel Johannesburg

The staff in all departments were very friendly and helpful.
I had to change the booking date, I tried on line but did not get a new confirmation. I had to PHONE from South Africa to finally get the date changed. After that all were smooth sailing ahead.

Absolute horrible experience. Waited on the customer service line forever multiple times, but if you call and hit to be connected to 'new booking' someone picks up immediately - go figure. Had an issue with my booking and they said would follow up but never did. This company does not know how to service customers. I lost my money! STAY AWAY! Stick to a reputable company that knows how to ensure a positive customer experience!

2 minutes after booking, I realized i needed to update my dates. They wanted to charge me $60. So I just cancelled and they still charged me 60 dollars. I tried calling customer service and I've been on hold for 30 minutes

UPDATE: following my review, I received an almost immediate response at Sitejabber, and my booking request was resolved within the next day. I also received a follow up call following that, which I greatly appreciate. I can now look forward to my vacation and hope there will be no issues at the hotel.

I have booked and paid for a room. Been trying to contact them since June for amendment of date. No reply to my multiple emails, no answer to my multiple calls. No rely on FB messenger either. Spend over SG$100 on phone call, was just put on hold by the recorded operator. I tried calling their hotline in Switzerland, France, Hong Kong and US, same result. I tried emailing them using multiple email addresses, same result. What a disappointment!

The confirmed Hotel had no knowledge of any reservation. Amoma was not Helping me out until suggesting a relocation after 4 hours oft waiting. Meanwhile i checked in at another more expensive Hotel. Amoma not willing to pay the difference...

We booked a room in The D Las Vegas hotel for 1 night on AMOMO from July 12 to July 13. We arrived there on July 13 but significantly before the check-out time, and were told by the staff that our reservation was already cancelled. There was no warning that our reservation to be cancelled if we don't appear on July 12; there was nothing that would indicate cancellation before our arrival to the hotel.

We clarified with hotel staff several times that our booking was not cancelled by the hotel, but by Expedia, and that they cannot give us a room even if we wanted because of that reason. Apparently it's deemed normal for AMOMA to receive full payment for the room and then cancel the reservation without any warning.

Hotel staff advised us to call AMOMA, but it was infinite hold on the phone, and we couldn't reach their representative. We decided to go without any sleep and hopefully reached our next destination without any accidents.

Absolutely awful! Avoid at ALL costs!

The customer service is awful, I was on hold over the phone for 43 minutes, eventually got through (as I heard background noise) and the person hung up. I tried the live chat and Julian, gave the worst customer service I have EVER received. I cancelled my booking, lost my money and will go elsewhere.

I urge you DO NOT USE this company. I very rarely give bad feedback, only praise when it's deserved, but on this occasion, I had to leave feedback to warn others.

Never use this service! I tried several times to book a room for one night, and the AMOMA website kept changing it automatically to one day later. I finally thought I had the correct date dialed in, but when I pushed the button and everything finalized, I noticed the computer had slipped back in the incorrect date. So I messaged AMOMA through its website, three times in a week and a half. If I could have called the hotel directly, it would have been simple to change dates to one night earlier. Instead, I had to go through AMOMA. They offered no phone number or other hotel contact info. AMOMA finally responded to my third message, the night before we left, and informed me it will cost $172 to change the reservation -- more than the price of the room!
Never ever ever again! If you use this clown outfit, you get what you pay for!

Used Amoma first time in June this year. I liked the way they responded almost immediately to all our requires. We had problems with the hotel and the hotel administation said it was not their fault but Amoma's. In fact that was lie and as soon as we appealed to Amoma, they immediately contacted the hotel to investigate the case. Only then the hotel administration started to do something...

After much consideration, I went with this website for booking a hotel in NYC, so far everything has been smooth.

I did have a little trouble getting a hold of their customer service line, but if you wait they will eventually answer and are very nice.

I look forward to my stay this August.
