Twenty first century is one quarter over and Amazon has many years of experience packing for delivery services. My package contained a liquid product but was so poorly packed it was damaged and spilled out into the packaging. I cannot use said product due to contamination. Amazon's only response was "cannot post your review because it mentions packaging" I have already cancelled my prime membership and will use Amazon only when necessary due to their poor response to my complaint.

Items bought, cannot return to china, will not refund, no help. Out of pocket with trash. It's time this company no longer existed.
Don't purchase from amazon.com they're just a bunch of thieves! They won't provide you a refund for a lost product for 6 weeks after the purchase date! No notification that you have to wait 6 weeks to be reimbursed when you place the order! Just a bunch of lying thieves! Save yourself some frustration and make your purchases anywhere else but amazon.com
Amazon is very helpful and you can find just about anything. To pencil cases to actual diamonds. I have never seen a product arrive damaged. That's a relief. The only problem is that you have to pay shipping. And that can be expensive. But, otherwise, helpful and easy. I recommend, if your trying to find something that you've never seen at stores.
Since Amazon has been barred from stealing from its employees in the form of underpayment and exploitative labor practices, it has apparently now resorted to stealing from customers! I paid for some recent orders with gift cards, specifically because I don't want to hand over my banking info to Amazon due to prior negative experiences with Amazon Prime. (And in America, we are still free to keep our private info to ourselves and shop anonymously, right?) In response, Amazon sent me the message below. I've wasted hours trying to either get my merchandise or my money back for the gift card, but I've never received either.🤬

"We have detected unusual payment activity on your Amazon account [An Amazon gift card is unusual?!]. For your protection, we have temporarily placed your account on hold and placed any pending orders [that I already paid for!] or subscriptions on hold as well.
"If we are unable to confirm your payment information within 72 hours, your pending orders will be canceled. Your account will remain on hold until we are able to confirm that you are the authorized owner of the payment method used in the recent transaction [How can I prove I own a gift card?!].

With the required information to verify your account. Once you have provided this document, we will review it and respond within 24 hours. [So if I don't, they keep the money I paid for the gift card?!]

Clearly, Amazon's whole retail operation is a ruse to get our info into its database, and it will stoop to stealing non-compliant customers' money to achieve this objective. Why are we supporting this? Are we stupid, or something? Since when has the customer allowed the merchant to rudely lead it around by the nose (no "thank you for patronizing us," no "please," or "apologies for the inconvenience"?) and abuse us with ridiculous, unnecessary demands? THIS is downright un-American! We've really got to take our power back, people. We are the 99%! We must band together, BOYCOTT AMAZON, and kill this fascist beast once and for all, before we end up with no rights at all, like China, where 99% of their crappy merchandise comes from!
Enough is enough. Being compelled to pay to prevent publicity viewing or harassing is too much.

I have ordered several things from Amazon this month and have not received on time. When talking to customer service representatives I get told different stories and different dates! I am still waiting on a couch that was supposed to be here February 15th. Very disappointed in Amazon.
So today, the 24th of February I attempted to purchase an Amazon fire stick with an Alexa remote that was advertised on Amazon for 1999 an exclusive price that Amazon was selling it. No matter what I tried I could not get the price of 1999. I took a quick screenshot of the ad and sent it to Amazon customer service and said I cannot get this fire stick for 1999 it still shows 3999. The customer rep told me purchase it when I get it asked him for the 20 bucks back I said no that's not how to purchase is supposed to work. You're supposed to sell it to me for $19.99 not that I have to come back to you once I purchase it and asked for my $20. He still refused to do anything other than I had to ask for my $20 back so I am slowly but surely in the next 6 months quitting Amazon and using other vendors to purchase my items. Sure, I only spent about $1000 or more a month on Amazon so that's chump change but if all of us did it maybe Amazon would start looking hard at how the business practices and ads work.
I've ordered many items over the years on Amazon Prime. Never returned anything until recently. I paid the UPS store to package it "professionally" to guarantee my refund. I also included several mop heads that I actually forgot to include in the requested refund.(Item was a steam cleaner). I received a partial refund on my debit card which was used for the purchase. Called Amazon and after several calls and hours, a supervisor that sounded frustrated, said I would get my final refund. Waited all week- called yesterday only to find out that the refund was put on a different card. WHY WOULD THEY REFUND A CARD THAT WAS NOT USED FOR THE PURCHASE? I've used multiple cards over the years including a couple of cards that were my fathers for his orders, he is elderly and I order for him. Amazon claims that the card was a secondary form of payment which is a lie because first of all- I would never do that- most likely- would not even know how to do that. NEXT- Amazon employee told me today that sometimes they search for other cards you have used for payments/refunds. Absurd. What company gives refunds/ takes payments from a card that was not used for purchase? This made me so uncomfortable that I cancelled my Prime membership, no telling what they will do.

I bought lights for home, first time the purchase didn't arrive as was out of stock despite I paid for it and got delivery notification, when I ordered similar product again it also never arrived.
I contacted Amazon support who said that I can't get refund until I get report from police! (Just imagine the level of inconvenience!)
I contacted police and got their reply in a month, but Amazon support replied that it's too late, and they will never make a refund, though first they didn't tell me any deadlines.
When I contact support they they just reply me as robots standard phases and close the chat / phone call.

Amazon has become a shady and scammy company. They kept pulling unauthorized charges for Amazon Prime that I never consented to and stealing out of my bank account. This is the third time that they do this to me so I closed my Amazon account and for the third time, I had to report them and reissue a new debit card. Never again will I use Amazon. I am switching to eBay. I trust eBay and I have been with eBay for many years and never once has my bank account been compromised when shopping with eBay.

Used to get graphically functional, well designed, attractive and user friendly notices of shipping and delivery info. Now get small text, non-graphical, very user unfriendly notices that convey MINIMAL useful info. I guess when you fire 70,000 people world wide, customers need to expect proportion loss of customer focus. Considering other shopping/buying options.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
