Used to get graphically functional, well designed, attractive and user friendly notices of shipping and delivery info. Now get small text, non-graphical, very user unfriendly notices that convey MINIMAL useful info. I guess when you fire 70,000 people world wide, customers need to expect proportion loss of customer focus. Considering other shopping/buying options.
I ordered, paid for and returned a bidet. Thereafter found a higher rated bidet cheaper, same website. The item was returned, tracking # provided. On initial call the service agent confirmed that Amazon had received the returned, however, the staff in the warehouse failed to enter in the computer that the returned item was received. I received an email stating that the item needs to be returned or they will re-charge my CC, as I know 1000% that I returned the bidet, I deemed no further action was required on my part. Amazon re-charged my account for an item I returned. Upon calling in I am told that I need to fill out all these forms. Long story short Amazon owes me $56.00+ for a returned Bidet. Further Customers pay for 2 day shipping via Prime and yet, most item arrive weeks later, sometimes months. There is no follow up from Amazon. That Company has obviously gotten to big for its britches and needs to be taken down a notch or 10. I am not one for being Shafter or as they say screwed over. I demand my money back or the item returned.

Not sure what happened to Amazon. I was their biggest fan! I loved how they solved all my purchasing problems and helped me return everything so easily. They were truly customer-centric which every company should emulate. That was Mr. Hyde. Then Dr. Jekyell showed up Jan 2024. Amazon downright refused to reimburse me anything for knocking over my mailbox! That is their ARC team, saying nonsense that will never stand up in court. I guess they were bullying me. Customer service is definitely out the window. Then to top it off, on another item, Amazon said they delivered a Dell computer costing over $1000 to my door. When I asked them if anyone received a signature or took photos, like they always do, Amazon said no. Whaaat? When I told them I did not receive it, Amazon said I should contact the police! He actually even sent me an email to repeat that I should contact the police and get a filing before he would do anything about it. I am just amazed! I would never have imagined they would come anything close to saying that from well over a decade of customer-centric experience I had with them. It is a change of policy coming down from the top. It is so surprising and alarming. They changed their tune so suddenly like a company that is going bankrupt. I am on my way to selling all my Amazon stocks. Something drastic is happening to them. I am sure others will see Amazon's true colors soon enough if they have not already. No more Prime for me. By the way, there is no reason to call the police on an item they never sent. My credit card company already gave me the money and will deal with them. My lawyer will deal with Amazon on the house damage. Jeff Bezos may be right much sooner than people think: he predicted his company would go bankrupt. I have to agree with the smartest man from Amazon.
I bought an item from an Amazon third party seller who used Fed Ex to deliver the package. Package was hand delivered to me on my driveway. After the Fed Ex truck left, I noticed many deep gouges on my driveway corresponding to tire track. It covered an area of 20 x 20 ft. Fed Ex is ignoring me despite all the info they have.
Amazon is adamant in NOT helping me. Never mind that I have bought it though Amazon. They parrot, "it is a third party seller so we can not talk to Fed Ex or do any thing". I have spoken with four reps, two supervisors (Kelly C was the worst) and the head quarters. Marina from the transportation dept in Seattle, after interrogating for 5 minutes to verify my identity, rudely told me the only person I could air my grievance is Jeff Bezos and gave me his email address! What an irresponsible company Amazon has turned out to be! What a departure from the friendly company I thought it was. This is a service matching the companies that have since disappeared. It was a rude awakening.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Do NOT buy anything from Amazon's third party seller since Amazon will not help you if there is any issue with delivery.
Site fine,Buying Things Fine,Tracking Packages Fine,Customer Service Fine and Extremely Helpfully,Everything except the fact they put sellers in charge of providing updates to the buyer on package tracking is fine. I have a picture to prove what i am talking about. It would've received 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for this issue in particular. An Item Came in the mail However when it did i was not given an update saying delivered. The picture in this review is the proof.
Its ok i guess but could be better for everyone. Just to let you know shopping is ok if you can trust the seller offering such source. I don't know about customer service and selling and etc though.
Wow - can't believe how terrible amazon.com has become. I ordered a product - the tracking number on the website said it was "delivered by amazon" but it was not. I spent well 2 hours on the chat and a phone call with them telling me the item had been forwarded to a "freight forwarder" and I was to contact them to find out where the package was. BUT crucially, they did not know which "freight forwarder". How am I supposed to follow up with a mystery company. Beyond ridiculous.
I was charged for an item the they acknowledge was returned and they received it. Supposedly this rare incident just slipped through the cracks. However, I didn't recognize the charge and assumed my debit card had been compromised. I canceled my card and Amazon has been a nightmare trying to get a refund. Supposedly they'll send a check, but I was told it could take to end of next month. Rude cs woman. If you hadn't canceled ur card you wouldn't be having this problem she says... I told her if Amazon hadn't stole my money I would not have canceled my card.
I will never shop here again. 7 times I've contacted cs. It's in India now and no one cares about your issues

Amazon has become the wh_re of streaming. I ALREADY pay to be a PRIME member, now 90 % of their content forces you to watch FREEVE with commercials, or you can buy/rent. The majority of movies are $ 19.99 to rent, or you are forced to subscribe to a channel you don't want to, to watch a short series.
AMAZON has become ALL ABOUT making as much money as possible, and providing as little new content, especially in English, as possible. Can you tell me why they charge for OLD movies, and WHY they call adding those as NEW content?
I worked for Amazon for 2 of the the worst years of my entire life. They INFAMOUSLY treat employees like crap, FORCE OVERTIME, time your bath room breaks, and every quarter increase your quota ( output in specific time intervals). I saw them fire employees who could not keep up, but keep worthless, lazy, slovenly dressed, inarticulate, anti social techies who can't construct full paragraphs to communicate without texts ( who stand at computers monitoring your production and time) simply because they had minimal computer knowledge.
To add insult, the 5 or 6 times I actually have ordered products online I could not locate elsewhere, being a Prime member DID NOTHING for me. The last purchase I made involved an hour's worth of a chat describing the delivery never being received, and when they detailed it was left on the porch ( not in the mailbox) REFUSED to replace the item though I never received it.
I am dropping Amazon for a company that doesn't take my money or FREE movie reviews for granted, who offers MINIMAL customer service simply because they are the WORLD'S LARGEST / most successful retailer, and continuously increases charges for a lesser product.

I had someone break into my Amazon account and buy over $5500 in Airbnb gift certificates. They contracted me after the first $1000 and I declined the charge but they kept letting more and more charges be made. They were of no help when I reported it minutes after it happened and now my only recourse is to have my credit card investigated. I was told they used an Amazon wallet which I didn't even know I had. Please add two verifications and don't have a wallet. Amazon is not protecting the accounts.

I ordered a sink which was supposed to come with a drinking water faucet. The sink arrived without the drinking water faucet, instead it had a soap dispenser substituted by the manufacturer who failed to update the ad. I called Amazon customer service and in about 5 minutes they gave me the $280 sink for free and I bought the water faucet for $32 That's above and beyond. Amazon is a fantastic company.
I have been an Amazon prime member for 10 years and now they have started running advertisements within their programs and movies on Amazon prime video. If you want to avoid watching advertisements on Amazon prime, you must now upgrade by paying $2.99 extra a month to get ad free programming.
Like paying $139. A year to be a prime member is not enough? It's a shame Amazon has started nickel and diming it's Amazon prime members. I am opposing this extra fee by no longer subscribing to paid channel subscriptions through Amazon prime. I will go straight to the channel (STARZ, BritBox, HBO/Max, etc.) and purchase my programming subscriptions.
I ordered a JACKERY SOLAR PANEL $699.00 with a $140 Coupon & They sent me a Superjare Gaming table 7933BC $99.99 instead. UPS picked it back up, I was given the tracking stub. Amazon received it back, and they want me to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a credit when it specifically stated that when they received my Item back, I would be issued my credit back to my card. They made a huge error and now want me to wait 3 to 4 weeks for my money. Bad policy. Disputed this with Discover and JACKERY was also notified of their handling of this. Never again!
When I order an item they give me the delivery date and then when it doesn't arrive I check it and they have moved the date out further. Their service has gotten quite poor lately.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
