Never again

Purchased a greenhouse claiming to be Exterior Heavy Duty and it failed miserably. I sent 2 months contacting Amazon and each time was told something different. The 2nd last contact was to another supervisor. She claimed that Amazon never filed a claim and that is why I had never been contact4d by their A to Z Team. She also told me not to deal with the supplier as I would be issued the amount in full in 7 days max as she had finally processed a claim. Fast forward 8 plus days no contact made to me no claim issued. Once again I call Amazon. I finally get an A to Z supervisor. He was rude, condescending, and threatening. He also stated Amazon would not refund as it was past 30 days. Understand that I paid 300.00 plus to have this greenhouse setup. I also lost a few thousand in plants. We had not even reached winter yet. Also additional expenses to ensure success. Because I had to contact Amazon each time to pacify my they gave me credits which I never ever asked for. They stated clearly that it was due to the way things had been handled and my frustrations. The gentlemen today made me feel like a crook. It is never okay to be treated this way. I have been an excellent customer of theirs. Moving forward I will never again purchase anything unless I must from Amazon. At the end of the day I purchased this item from Amazon not their supplier which by the way they push off on you to deal with. Again not okay.

Amazon is my favorite place to shop! They have a huge selection of products at reasonable prices. Free shipping with Amazon Prime is also very convenient!

Been an amazon customer for years and was initially happy. Lately Amazon has really sucked. A lot of their product reviews are "bought" by the seller so you can't trust them. The quality of items has gone way down but the prices have gone up. Their delivery staff treat the packages like crap which I've witnessed several times. The drivers also park any where they want which means they obstruct access to driveways or double park and don't seen to care. Had a customer service experience today about a seller not fulfilling their refund agreement and the fellow I was dealing with was rude and extremely unhelpful. Wouldn't listen to what I had to say, wouldn't prove what he was saying was accurate and just ignorant. I cancelled my account and had it deleted, cancelled my Amazon credit card and went online to find a lot of sites that offer price comparisons that point you to businesses other than Amazon where you can save a lot more money. I highly recommend everyone move away from Amazon and see what else is out there because you will be happy you do.

Problem with the delivery boy.!

When I called the delivery boy he was very rude on the call and started scolding me very badly.

Unprofessional behavior.

Product was delayed for a week.

He himself asked me to escalate the issue and write the review.

I just started Prime membership and ordered a few items. I returned a few items because some things either had issues or I did not want them anymore. Amazon is falsely accusing now that I returned items and they are restricting my account. I guess amazon does not like when you return something back to them. Their customer service is piss poor and worst in the industry. These people from foreign countries do not care. They do not include their names when they email you anything. You cannot even complain to anyone within their company because they all claim to be managers and cover for their liar friends. They never provide you a phone number for their corporate offices or refer you to speak to a manager. I very disappointed in the quality of customer service. Amazon seems to be a total fraud company.

Slow shipping

Anybody else getting tired of the bait and switch nonsense they do these days? I ordered a couple of things on a Saturday. Immediately I got the auto respond email saying that my order would be delivered the next day. On that day I got another email titled Delivery Update telling me that it would be another day, possibly 2, before my order arrived. Why am I paying for Prime? More important, why send that first email knowing it is a lie and that they won't be honoring the 1 day delivery Prime promises? They ar elike every other company that performs as promised for a while and then once you are hooked they just do whatever they want knowing we won't quit Prime. Very disappointed.

UPDATE

As per tracking information, my package was in a city 29 miles from my home on Saturday. Sunday just showed "There was a delay". Today, Monday, that package is in a city 2.3 miles from where it was Saturday. It took 2 days for that package to move 2.3 miles? Right now that package is 24 miles from here. Why can't I just drive up and pick it up? More importantly, why did it move only 2.3 miles in 2 days?

People have projects to do on time. We buy based on the delivery dates and count on that. Don't like being told one thing then get something all together different. Next day means next day. I bet Jeff didn't deal with this while building his empire.!

Oh that Packaging

Just had some pillows delivered but we have the same old complaint about Amazon packaging. The pillows came in a perfectly good box... which was put inside an Amazon box. Finding the same with everything we get from Amazon and that's a shame because in this day and age it is completely against the people's wishes.

Tip Fraud by Amazon

I had been ordering groceries from Amazon Fresh for about 2 years. I am aware of the tip box and how it can be modified.
I modify my tip according to service, and the amount of groceries. I never thought about double checking the tip amount I was charged to verify it wasn't changed with out me knowing.
Well, I actually checked my past 5 orders and all of the tips I put in where CHANGED to give a larger tip.

Not only is this horrible business practices but horrible wrong to steal from customers.
When I called Customer service (which was difficult to get the #) I spoke with 3 people and none of them helped. Even when I asked to escalate my call Carlos said he is the highest I could get in the Customer Service department. He then hung up on me when I said we both know there is someone above him.

Don't use Amazon Fresh and at the least make sure you are not having the company steal money from you!

Lovely experience

Only complaint being my additional $50 gift card has yet to be processed the one I exchanged seconds prior to the $15 one I'm leaving the review for. Other than that I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity and for coming in clutch with the Amazon fresh when we were hungry hungry.

Full review to follow in the Spring of 2023 (along with all the online chats I had with them) as I am out of the country at the moment & I am still finalizing the issues with Amazon... but they did send me an incorrect (vital part I needed in order to connect an additional monitor for work) TWICE!... YES, the identical incorrect part!
So the number of both Amazon customers (310,000,000) & Amazon Prime members (200,000,000) will soon be down by 1 as I will not be renewing my Prime membership with them nor will I be using them for anything else until they rehire the ± 18,000 employees they replaced with Rhinos (as Rhinos have very poor vision) or Jeff Bezos comes back & runs Amazon the same way it became so successful.

*** Is it coincidence that Amazon seems to be slipping BADLY since Andy Jassy became CEO?!?... Jeff please come back & run things again the way you have for years for my sake but more so for the sake of Amazon & it's hundreds of millions of customers. If you do, I will renew my membership & most likely till death be loyal Amazon customer. ***

Things are starting to look a little brighter as I always had high expectations of Amazon because they much more often than not deliver what they say they will otherwise they make it right & they have begun to make it right.
The reality is nobody & no company is perfect... To conclude, we have begun getting in the right direction... but still not sure if I will renew my membership as this took A LOT of my time (on multiple days) & sucked A LOT of my energy.

I have had the worst experience with Amazon. They suspended my 15 year old prime account and forfeited the amount I paid for prime membership without giving any valid reason. Please don't trust Amazon blindly, dont keep any money in pay balance and dont take prime membership. They can suspend accounts anytime and cheat you of your own money. Most harassing online portal I have dealt with.BEWARE

I canceled my order with them and customer service claims they never charged me but my bank cant return the money until Amazon releases the money that they claim they never took. After a week and half run around I still have not received the money that Amazon claims they never took. BEWARE. Needless to say I canceled my Amazon prime membership over the $134.78 that they stole from me.

Dying brand

Today I had to deal with a customer service representative and a supervisor who never heard of their own Clip coupon function. The supervisor refused to make any attempts to solve the problem (the coupon wasn't going through at checkout) and kept responding with irrelevant scripts. In addition to that I received no request for feedback like I used to, which shows how much the company cares (plenty of options for feedback on products and third party sellers, but not their own service). This is just another symptom in the long list of bad changes at Amazon: no more free returns pick up, charity donations canceled, massive layoffs (presumably of the competent agents), abandoning their headquarters, and all this despite increased fees.

No doubt you've already heard the stories of the appalling way Amazon treats its staff and prevents unionisation, its patent on the obvious 1-click purchasing feature, killing off local bookshops, remotely deleting paid content from users' Kindle devices, its terrible track record on pollution, anti-competitive operations, treating LGBTIQA+ books as "adult content", and squeezing sellers. Well now you can add "deleting reviews that are unfavourable to racist and misogynistic pseudoscientific authors" to the list.

I'd been a customer for about 18 years, used most of their services at different times, and had written many reviews, almost all of which had many "helpful" votes attached to them. And it was me who convinced my family to get Amazon accounts. I dread to think how much money I've put into Bezos's back pocket during the last 18 years or so.

I then left a review on the worst book I've ever read in my life pointing out some of the myriad problems with the it. A few months later it was deleted with only a perfunctory notification email with a broken link to their guidelines. No mention of which review or why, I had to sit through a 35 minute chat with three different "customer service" representatives to try and find out why, and all they said was they would email me. I then had to have an email exchange with someone else to finally get to the bottom of the issue.

Long story short: Amazon don't allow customers to leave "spiteful" reviews. And, apparently, calling a racist and misogynistic pseudoscience book exactly what it is will be considered by Amazon's employees as being "spiteful" towards the author. Their various one-line responses were all signed with "Your feedback is helping us build Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company."

I think maybe someone needs to explain the definition of the words "spiteful" and "customer-centric" to Amazon. Based on these interactions it's clear that only positive reviews are allowed on Amazon.

I've now deleted my Amazon account and will be taking my Kindle to the local CEX shop to exchange it for a Kobo tomorrow. I'd like to congratulate Amazon on having the absolute worst policies of any company I've ever had to deal with (vehemently defending dead, racist authors) and the absolute worst customer service ever to boot (pushing long-time customers directly to their competition). Well done Amazon, well done.

So I purchased a HD fire tab 8 for my kid after the computer I ordered her was delivered to the wrong address and this was her bday present. The tablet kept glitching which I found odd since its supposed to be new. So she had got books and 2 games where I purchased books and multiple in app purchases for her game so tech support says it needed updates and it would work and if it persists contact them for a replacement. Well how dumb was I to believe it? Instead I got a rude racist using "you people always trying to scam" and ain't nobody giving bloop in less than 5 mins she went into her racist rant and told me to leave it outside in the rain for 2 days as she didn't have a definite date it could be picked up well I'm not dumb so I didn't I caught an uber took it to ups myself now I'm told I'd get a full refund but didnt. I received 18$ and the credit for the computer that was applied was denied and then they pay ups for picking up which they did not. So not only am I out of the money for the books and in purchase app expenses my kid has now nothing to commemorate her bday after going through the worst time of her life and I had to endure a racist using all kinds of slurs etc and yes I recorded it all. And receipts for purchases but bigger than that my child is sadden and hurt by all the issues endured for a present that she has nothing so buyer beware they selling old refurbished products as new and they can care less about the cost you lose in their products or the racist customer service people or the fact the children suffer behind their RIP offs. I mean we all know they're having issues but had I known she'd not get a replacement or full compensation she could've just kept the broken device it's better than seeing her cry and me feeling like a failure. Smh

Bad customer service...6 months later

I purchased a $160 cat litter cabinet in June 2022 and received a $600 air conditioner instead. I called Amazon and returned the a/c and received my cabinet within a few days. 6 months later I received an email from Amazon notifying me that they had successfully charged my card again because they didn't receive the return cabinet. I called them and explained that I couldn't return a cabinet they never shipped to me that I had instead returned the $600 a/c they sent me instead. The customer service rep was extremely rude, told me it wasn't their fault they had sent me the wrong item and that it was "the system's fault". After being their customer for many years, I was very disappointed with their response and feel like Amazon no longer provides the service they once did.

If you have Any self respect or integrity of self. DONT go through AMAZON. They lie about delays and the reasons for them. They lie about when your delivery is supposed to be there and even lie about it being delivered, picked up for delivery and they lie about not being able to cancel items and give refunds. They Scam you into believing them and paying to get your orders to you when specified. When in fact... it'll get there when it gets there and you can't cancel till it ships then you can't cancel till you receive it and return it then you'll get your refund. NOT TO MENTION THEY'RE FRIENDS WITH EPSTIEN

The prices are competitive and delivery is always prompt. I also appreciate their easy return and refund policy. The customer service is responsive and helpful. I've been particularly impressed with their Prime service, which offers free two-day shipping and access to a wide range of streaming services. Overall, I highly recommend Amazon for anyone looking for a convenient and reliable online shopping experience
