Be careful of this portal. You book something just a tad cheaper then booking.com or direct and then find it's for a different 1 person instead of 3. The irony is there are three people mentioned on the reservation but the number of guests is "1". Once you try to get it to three people including breakfast the price is 25% more than the cheapest on the internet. When you try to get the money back based on their policy that they pay back the difference, they reply the competition has different terms ie different prices.
They claim to offer best prices but charge existing site members more. Loyalty to the website results in paying higher prices. I would recommend to use one time only. Don't believe their best price promise and check other websites for better prices
They rely on partners like Expedia to make your booking which means that there is no customer support since they keep blaming their partner for not responding to them on time to fix your booking.their webpage resit the booking date after you selected it and while you are browsing the hotels.they wasted my money because of their technical issue and poor customer support
They advertise hotels which lie in their description. When you try refund due to misleading adverts Agoda make no attempt to get your money back. I drove for 2 hours only to realise the hotel was filthy dirty no Internet room smelt of smoke and Agoda continue to advertise the hotel even though I complained. No refund made. My 2 night plans got changed because we were not going to stay and the disgusting hotel. Avoid Agoda at all costs. Use any other hotel booking site that actually cares about their customer. They won't refund you the money they took from you.
Do not use this company. They have caused me so much stress leading up to my trip. Now they have cancelled the booking a day before I travel. No offer to help me find alternative accommodation and me my wife and my baby are stranded
Was told by hotel I would receive refund because they had roaches and room dirty but Agoda decided since I didn't take pictures of said roaches I shouldn't receive refund
If I could give zero stars I would. Agoda is an absolute scam! Beware! Do not book with them or you will lose your money! They took my money and will not provide a refund even after trying to check in to a fake property. The longer story is that I called them multiple times over the course of a month to check on the property as I hadn't received any check in instructions and all they do is send emails and make a call to the property. When our trip to Europe came we continued to let them know of the issue and they refused to do anything till the day we were to check-in, and even then it was another email and phone call to the property, which we came to find out doesn't exist. Agoda accepted and tried to profit off a fake property and refuses to give our money back. Please take heed of this review as we are now out over $4K.

I had an issue with Hotel that I have booked threw them and the Hotel was 4 stars full of Mosquitos and insacts and they couldn't get even a partial refund.
My advice book directly as there service worth nothing in case you will actually need them you are alone
After booking I ask the hotel about the no refund and no cancellation policy that Agoda said was the hotel policy, they absolutely refused that the policy has anything to do with them. In fact they were not happy that agoda is telling potential customers that it's hotel policy... Also how many people just move on after seeing the no refund no cancellation no show policy, it's a scam and Agoda is pushing it on their clients. Agoda gets 1 star from me they suck!
The hotel booking and reservation is confirmed and under process but the team of agado don't help me out to cancel my booking and they deducted the cash in full no refund from them and hotel management is not supported at all in keeping my booking confirmed
Don't trust them I spend 4k now trying to get my money on their bookings,stay away, they just hold your money
The filter in app doesn't work and it let me book for options those are not part of the filter and lead to loss of 900$ and when called customer service 1st lady says probability is very likely that you will get your money back then in few hours I get a call saying no refund and disconnects the call.
Later I called again and another lady says to show the steps and after that she says the filter is one thing you still have to see fine prints before booking.
Plus she said she will re-request and in 2 mins got email that she cannot request$ (make your mind) and have been asked to call hotel directly.
Waste of Money!

I have booked a room for Two nights in Hamilton with breakfast included.All the way till
Payment it shows with breakfast after the payment I got the voucher for room reservation. We have stayed in hotel and had our both day's breakfast from there. At the time of check out they said I have to pay for the breakfast. I told them I booked with breakfast but on their system it's only room. Finally it's ended up with I paid $216 for breakfast. It was cheating.

Booked with Agoda for a flight from South Korea to Japan. We were to bring a motorized wheelchair but Agoda's booking process made no mention about wheelchairs. So I contacted the airlines and was told that the battery wattage exceeded to what they allow in their aircraft. I could feel that that Japan airlines was sorry for me, so that they offered me to have the the booking cancelled and refund me IN FULL (no charges). I then contacted Agoda many, many times and would just say that the booking was successful; or they are yet to contact the airlines; or the airlines has not answered then yet, etc….reasons that were emailed in obviously scripted replies even if my emails were so detailed and with attached proofs of my credit card bills and my communications with the airlines mentioning that they already refunded to Agoda credit card March 27. Then in June, I got a refund through my credit card but NOT THE FULL AMOUNT. I again emailed Agoda about the discrepancy and they kept on saying that the airlines has not contacted them yet although i already sent them a screenshot of the airline's statement that they already refunded in full. Until now (July 16,2023) i have not received it.
AGODA are scammers, they will change your booking (dates / amount of occupants) after you've paid. You will receive the booking confirmation and you will be flabbergasted.
They will not change the booking to fix their mistake or refund you.
They will blame it on you, then on their dysfunctional system.
Such a shame, I had to call my bank for a charge back and call PayPal to open a dispute.
Just look for AGODA SCAM on twitter or the one star reviews on trustpilot you will understand.
I tried to book a room in San Diego and they booked it on the wrong date. When I tried to contact them, two minutes later, there's no phone number that works and there was no person available to talk to. When you go on their sites, everything is nonrefundable once booked. I will never use this site again as they ripped me off for over $300 dollars for a booking I will not use.
Double charged me then forced me to keep sending in transaction and bank statements, over and over for proof saying they were not receiving emails. Also once I got access to my bank statement that actually took two weeks to get, Agoda decided to switch it up and say its the hotels fault for the charge when they already told me the first day I called "customer no service" about the double charge that Booking.com processed the payment at the hotel. The charges are back to back on my debit card so it easy to see I was double charged. But the second charge doesn't say Agoda because booking.com processed the payment Once I made it to the hotel. That's the new way out of just issuing my return. Prolonging it as long as possible. But why?

The hotel I booked through them was disgusting unsafe & rude staff. The staff made my 9 year old cry because she was so scared. Wouldn't stay and they won't refund my money. The business was cannery row inn in monterey

Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
