Total scam! They steal your money and pretend there's a "processing error" even after providing ample proof that the money was taken from my account and I should have a room they don't provide the room- then say it takes THIRTY DAYS FOR A REFUND FOR THE MONEY THEY STOLE! Terrible terrible company! BEWARE! TOTAL SCAM!
Stay Away. No customer service no support. They will open a case and no one will call nor it will be fixed
Booked a hotel for my honeymoon in the Philippines and agoda canceled my hotel and then said I did it, won't refund me or just give me my original room that I booked, they accused the hotel and me for canceling it, my bank contacted agoda on a 3 way call and agoda never sent the hotel any money, so agoda is keeping all of the money, great honeymoon gift getting ripped of by Indians in a telemarketer room, zero stars
I was charged $120.53 for a room. The hotel actually charged me $73.29. AGODA got the difference of $47.22 and refuses to give that amount to me or to the hotel.
THIS IS THEFT. Looking at the reviews on this page, I'm sorry I didn't look at that before I booked. These people are crooks, thieves, and their customer service is a joke. Frustration at trying to get any satisfaction at all is unbelievable. I hope they undergo some sort of review and have to pay fines they think they don't owe!
HORRIBLE! I contacted them with a huge problem at the hotel on check in and did a cancellation. The hotel said I booked through Agoda to contact them, I called from the hotel and got a huge run a round, after being out on hold twice for several minutes I was told I would be given a FULL refund, it would be applied back to my card within 5 minutes. LIES, all lies. I received an email from Agoda saying on my $700 booking they would like to offer me $121.80 refund. What a joke! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Agoda is really Booking. Com, I will be filling with the BBB and this is the first of many bad reviews I will write so others will not use them!
Recently I have booked the acommodation for my vacation with Agoda. The prices in Agoda website shown as the local currency and will convert to SGD at a later date. When I received the charges from Agoda, it was about 10% higher than the exhange rate. They are not transparent on their prices and did not replied when I seek clarification with them.
Most of the rooms I searched on that website were really cheap, and after booking I quickly saw the reason why. They offer no way of getting a refund, and are more likely to protect the owner of the property than the booking customer. Only solution I was offered for my problems was to contact the property owner themselves. Rooms were often horrible, with limited air-conditioning, terrible air quality (woke up almost every night coughing with a sore throat), limited wifi, disconnected power sockets, and disgustingly smelly and dirty bathrooms with leaking pipes.
Edit: contacted their customer service multiple times, and every time they said that my booking is not refundable, and the only option offered was a room change. They're much more willing to support the hotel owners than their actual customers. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
Please don't book the hotel or anything else from AGODA. I have very bad experience with them they have cancelled my stay without informing. If you call customer care they said they have a policy to auto cancel. Just they put in their website prices are very less and good discounts but it's trash don't belive it and book better go with other travel sites. It's my personal experience. Please don't Book in Agoda.
I booked a room through Agoda Services for November 9,10 and 11. I carefully double checked my dates before I submitted them. They had the website set up to look like just like I was dealing directly with the hotel. It was deliberately set up to deceive. When I got my confirmation the dates were listed as August 9,10 and 11. I immediately phoned to get it corrected and they said they would cancel it and I would have to rebook it, but I may have to pay a fee. Yes, a 100% fee. They kept telling me they would get back to me, but never did. I called multiple times and each time they made it sound like I would get my money back, but not once did they get back to me. Also, not once did they tell me I was dealing with Agoda Services. Every time I would get an immediate response email from them saying someone would contact me in 7 days it was in a different company name. They never got back to me! The last time I phoned, they put me on hold in Neverland. I phoned the hotel directly and that is where I learned the name of the company who sold me the room. They buy blocks of dates from the hotel and when your dates don't fit with what they have, they change your dates to what they have available and say you made a mistake. I did not make a mistake. I had my husband double check the dates I had entered. Agoda Services sell the same rooms over and over again and keep everyone's money! I would give them a big pass!
I booked tickets to the Catacombs in Paris. I got a confirmation and then a cancellation notice the next day. Credit card showed the credit. I booked agin with a different card. I got a conformation. I tried to view the tickets and was instructed to enter my email, which I did. The email that I then received was the confirmation again. While in Paris, I could not show my tickets, only the confirmation. They could not accept that, so we paid again. I then saw the email from Agoda that the booking was cancelled again. It's been 5 weeks and I still haven't received the refund. I've tried to contact customer service a number of times but all their responses are computer generated and they can't even find my original confirmation number. Terrible service. I cannot ever recommend buying any tickets through this company and I will never do business with them again.
Warning! This service is terrible! First the website will not let you Kno if rooms are booked full and no vacancies.! Other websites will say "sold out". "Unavailable ". Or simply take hotel down if unvaccant. No this one proceeds to let you book because they only want your money. Once you book close to an hour later you will receive a cancellation email. The catch is if you book with your card and still need a room because you and your family are mid travel they will simply tell you it's nothing they can do. Nothing at all. And you are now stuck without your money for ⁷ days that you will need for your trip and also without a room with no customer service accommodations. Here's the catch. The support ( supervisor level). Will be petty and argue small points to validate not helping you also with smart talk not aiming to please customers at all. Customers always right except in this case... This case it's we didn't get your money so we don't care about it at all. Very poor customer service on purpose. Please avoid unless you Wana have your money caught up in inconvenience and you will get no help at all while you never deserved a company to not adjust room availabilities. Smh.
Booked through them and the price dropped by 100 a night. Their guarantee is not an actual guarantee. Wait until the last minute to save your money because this site charges more the earlier you book.
DO NOT BOOK WITH AGODA. STAYED AT A HOSTEL FOR 1 HOUR instead of the 3 days we booked AND THE PLACE WAS SO DIRTY THE STAFF ASSURED US THEY WOULD REFUND US THROUGH AGODA WE HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS BUT NOW DENIES IT AND EVENTOUGH AGODA SAW THIS VIDEO THEY WILL NOT REFUND JUST BUNCH OF SCAMMERS

I booked a hotel with them for 4 nights and the payment went through and got the confirmation email for that reservation after 24 hours they cancelled my reservation for no reason I've tried to book it again they raised the price 200$ more what a Joke. Pay a little more and use trip.com or priceline.com or any other third party site.

I would NOT use Agoda to book any international hotel stays. They outsource to OHMYHOTEL and you will get charge for duplicate booking under 1 reservation. I was informed to me by the hotel manager (thank you otherwise I would have not known that I was charged 2x! And he told me that this happens very often to his oversea booking customers). It has been 2 months and have not refund me because they keep saying that I use the wrong email to request my refund just to find out their oversea support team (India) input the wrong email address when I called so the request never got process :(( (((
I signed up as a member. And after booking my first room I referred 2 friends. 1 of my referrals used them that night. I never received any points from them and neither did my referral. I still used them 3 more times. It still shows I haven't booked any rooms with them. Customer service is a bot. And doesn't help with anything concerning the app. I finally found a phone number and after talking to another bot I was finally directed to a representative. Completely useless. I suggest using the Wyndham app. They have a point system that is impressive. Don't waste your money with this company
Booked a night away. Got an emergency appointment with my MS neuro. Didn't get a letter as they called me. Told Agoda. Spoke to hotel who said I could cancel and get a refund no problem. Agoda asked for proof of MS. Sent 7 documents but they still said no. First time booking with Agoda and definitely my last.
Wanted the Beach Tower 1 bedroom which the nightly rate is cheaper than originally booked 2 months ago at $285 a night for a studio. The beach tower is lower by $20 per night at $265 BUT your added FEES are over $400 for the cheaper room of a total coast of almost $1500 compared to the more expensive room (studio) which is $1113. How can the cheaper room be more expensive with all your added fees? It should be cheaper! I want the Beach Tower 1 bedroom for the 4 nights Sept 17-21 at the cheaper rate without all the hidden extra fees. Why would your total rate of the less expensive nightly rate be more expensive than the higher nightly rate room? Scam!
Obviously you are seeking what you are showing but why would all the fees be higher on a cheaper nightly rate? That is utterly ridiculous and unheard of…almost Bait and Switch! No wonders why you have horrible reviews.

This is the worst customer service. Almost 3 hrs on the phone and NO ONE can explain to me why a cheaper nightly rate has $500 fees for 4 nights but the higher nightly rate that I booked for same 4 nights 2 months ago has $13.40 fees.
I reserved a room for Hawaii, but a few days later, they informed me that they were changing my reservation. I suspected it was a bait-and-switch tactic, as they did not acknowledge my concerns and instead canceled my booking.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
