Made an appointment with a doctor on zoc doc. Waited two weeks. For the appointment the evening before the appointment zoc doc ( not the drs office!) called th tell me that the appointment was canceled.
No explaination, nothing!
Horrible company
I tried to leave review for doctor and could not find link. Looks like they publish only positive reviews. Do not trust them.
I set an appointment with a doctor using this site. Not only a confirmation email, but I also received a call from the office confirming my appointment and taking my insurance information. It was canceled by the doctor on the day of my appointment with no explanation given. I just got an email from ZocDoc, not from the doctor, telling me the appointment was canceled just one and half hous before my appointment. I didn't even receive a call from the office. Took a half day off for this, so I just wasted it. What's more, I realised the site won't allow you to leave feedback for a canceled appointment (This doctor had a 4.5 review). So I no longer consider their reviews of doctors trustworthy.
The representative for this company was very sketchy. He came into and requested an interview with the doctor of our practice and became very angry when he was told no. He was rude and very inappropriate in front of patients. Our office will never use this company. If they can't hire professional people to represent them, why would we trust them with our patient information and schedule? Awful company.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE - zocdoc.com. WASTE OF TIME. I set an appointment to see a OB-GYN and they sent me a confirmation email. When I CALLE THE DOCTOR'S office, I was never booked and then I have to wait one more month to set a new date to see the doctor... WASTE OF TIME - PLEASE DO NOT US THIS SITE - YOU ILL BE DEAD BEFORE YOU GET TO SEE A DOCTOR! I would give ZERO if I COULD.
As a dental provider, this seems to work just fine if you are on most fee schedules. Over half of the fee schedules we see pay less than medicaid. So I cannot recommend zocdoc unless you are on a great many fee schedules, have low overhead and lots of low paid employees. I wish I had my $3000 back.
Virtually every patient review on ZocDoc is five stars. ZocDoc doesn't let patients publish negative reviews. Doctors pay for ZocDoc so it is biased.
If we could do it all over again, we would NOT have signed up with ZOCDOC. This was the worst decision financially we could have made. Dental marketing is difficult and so a alot of time we try things to help build patient base but this is by far a bad decision. Now we are locked in for 1 year and out of $3000.
Cons:
*Collect $3000 up front
*Locked into contract
*Patients cancel/fall through (flaky). Although we only had 2
*No follow-up done by ZOC DOC
******Please don't do it... stick to SEO and internet marketing
After using a dentist, based on the 37 favorable reviews shown on ZocDoc.com, it turned out that dentist wasn't anywhere as good as the biased reviews said... I wanted to post a negative review about this dentist but was told I can not, because I didn't "book" the appointment from the ZocDoc.com site, first... And was told to read their "review policy" regarding it... I offered to show proof I used the dentist in question, but wasn't given any consideration to do so, and was told, by the ZocDoc REP, the dentists advertising on their site request this policy... When I read a review site, I'm not thinking of writing a review before using the dentist, and have NO need to view any "review policy"... This site seems to "protect" the dentists from negative reviews, hiding behind this "review policy", without regard for the public users "right-to-know" the truth about the dentists advertising on ZocDoc.com... I strongly suggest to the public, to IGNORE all reviews on ZocDoc.com as biased, and paid-for by the dentists listed there, as simply advertising for bad dentists who want to keep their secret.
This seems like an interesting new site to find physicians in your area by specialties and who are covered by your insurance plan. I imagine it may be useful if you were traveling, had a medical emergency and needed to find a physician nearby. You can even view their schedules and make an appointment online. That's pretty cool.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or [email protected] if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down. All of the reviews will be listed there toward the left side of the page. Give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you are having any trouble! In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
