Useless site they let the doctor publish dates and times that are not available. They confirm with the hope that you agree to reschedule at their convenience. Brought this to the attention of ZocDoc management and of course they did nothing. They went to the extreme of suggesting I call the Drs. Office for an appointment. If I call the Drs office why I need ZocDoc for?
As a physician, this organization presented itself as a novel and useful tool to help our patients schedule appointments online and after hours. After one year of use, we have discontinued using ZocDoc. We saw very little patient traffic with it- several of the patients that did schedule appointments turned out to be drug-seeking patients.
The $3000 annual fee is definitely not worth the money.
FYI- the first five reviews of every physician are anonymous (read fictional) reviews- always 4 or 5 stars to make every physician look good.

I went to one of the docs who received high reviews on this site. HE WAS HORRIBLE, but the reviews said the opposite. I went back to put in my own review only to discover that they don't let you make reviews! What a croc.
I visted a Doctor Pham at Eye and Ear Infirmary. He was not passionate. He didn't listen and was rushing thru out the exam. Mind you I was swollen and had a very very bad pink eye. When asking him to write me a note for work he didn't write was I was diagnosed with nor did he write the date. I had to tell him all this and when asking him for drops he didn't want to. Who is the Doctor here? Don't ever visit that particular Doctor. I'M WARNING YOU!
I just visited a Dr that receives straight 5 stars on zocdoc.com. The Dr was terrible, which is also reflected on site such as healthgrades.com. It's a scam...
Horrible site! Great concept to book appointments online but sadly it's a scam. I booked both my Gyno and physical therapy visits through the site and under my health insurance coverage. Yesterday I found out the doctors were out of network so I am responsible for the fees. Anyone can advertise on their site and the positive reviews come from zocdoc themselves... anyone logical should stay away from this site!
They didn't have sufficient info about the doctor. I waited 3 weeks for the appointment and zocdoc told me the doctor confirmed, but the doctor didn't get back to me. I found that the doctor's office was in a large practice located in the basement of the co-op i was sent to. Zocdoc apologized and gave me a $5 gift card to amazon (lost three weeks of waiting for the appointment and $20 on carfare). I will never use zocdoc again... they don't really know their referred doctors in my opinion.
I was referred to Zocdoc by my dermatologist. He recommended i use to it book with his office. It is really awesome! I was able to see his availability and pick a time that works best for me. I didnt have to call the office and spend 15 min on the phone trying to pick a time that worked. I then used the site to find a dentist and it was so easy. I do not understand why there are alot of bad reviews. This is a great site and i highly recommend it.
I was very surprised at the reveiws posted here. I used Zocdoc to find a GYN Dr. near by. They made the appointment, confirmed it by email and called to remind me. Turned out the Dr's office was in walking distance and the Dr. deals with my Ins. And Hospital. The visit was GREAT. The Site let's you pick the Dr; I did my Homework on the Dr before I choosed. Maybe you should have too.
I needed to find a dermatologist but was willing to drive out of town in order to find one that was more affordable. I used zocdoc to set up the appt. And set out for my appt. One hour later I arrived only to discover that the doctor I came to see apparently does not work there. On top of that, it isn't even a dermatologist office! Its a family practice. If I wanted to see my family practice doctor I would have walked there and not driven an hour away. This was a complete waste of my time. And I wasn't able torecieve the treatment I needed. This website is bogus!
It's a scam for doctors. I would give them 0 star!
All they care is to collect $300 fee from you. No patients referral at all!
This is a scam! Stay away!
They signed up our physical therapist last year after giving great presentation.
We paid $3000 up front. Not a single appointment was booked thru them the whole year. So, of course, we had no intentions of reviewing. Well, a few weeks ago I check our bank statement and I see they withdrew another $3000 unauthorized from our bank account ( now I understand why they didn't want to accept credit card payment in the first place). It was been over three weeks and they haven't returned the money.
We are reporting them To BBB and preparing the article about them for Chicago Tribune.
We had a ZocDoc rep come out and tell us that we could book for $300 a month and they would provide all these referrals for us. At the end of his presentation he told us our specialty did not allow for the monthly rate but we had to pay the $3000 up front for the year. The doctor wanted to do this because he was so impressed with the salesman. We got one call right away after that from a patient booking an appointment. We were excited but we have had none since. I think the rep referred a friend to us to get us to have one patient. I would NOT recommend paying for this service, it is a scam!
My biggest gripe with them was their dishonesty.
One of their reps called our clinic stating they were were referred to us and were looking for a Primary Care Physician. In good faith, we returned their call as we would any prospective new patient.
For a company to attempt to start a relationship with that sort of dishonest and misleading lead-in is a sure attempt to run far, far away.
It's really annoying as a patient if you need to schedule or change appointments. I work a really long job and have a lot of things that pop up on my schedule. My doctors never have an issue changing my appointments if I need to b/c I've been with them a long time BUT if you change more than 1 or 2 appointments - ZocDoc locks you out as thought you're some kind of fraud and they make you call them and then prove that you're not. What terrible customer service. I've also left very good reviews for doctors and one very negative one with a dentist that I had problems with (felt like she was a used car salesman who tried to sell me procedures). ZocDoc actually CALLED me and effectively tried to question the legitimacy of my review and then ask me to take it down. How do you get real reviews?
Don't use it. I am a doctor. I used it and they get 300 dollars a month and I do the work basically. Usually you get 1-2 patients a month for 300 dollars. Do NOT waist your money.
Our practice signed up for ZocDoc. They charge 1 yr in advance, they promise to market for you. Instead we got harassed for us to add their widget and website to the marketing that we already do. They want us to use ZocDoc as a booking system when we already have one and they they want to claim they got us the patients. We didn't fall for it and so far (6 months later) we have not gotten one patient. On its own, ZocDoc does not generate referrals. If you tag it to your own voice mails (for calls you generated through marketing that actually works) they claim they booked the appointment for you. If you add their widget to your website and you market your website, they will claim credit for appointments generated through them. It's a scam. Don't fall for it!
Nothing but great experience! Easy, user friendly, efficient, and great doc experience.
Cant leave negative reviews, site is a scam, went to 5 star obgyn, worst experience and doctor I have ever seen in my entire life. She was self absorbed and uncaring, not to mention overpriced and abusive in her work. Don't use this site.
They only post positive reviews. Do your research before selecting a doctor.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or [email protected] if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
