I knew ZocDoc was trouble when we started receiving mail at our home soliciting business for our office. I have told them over and over again to take our name and number off of their lists but the attempt to profit off all of the education of professionals from this money-hungry company continues. At first I figured I would just let them continue mailing us stuff at their expense and toss it all before even opening it. If they are that mismanaged that wasting money on postage after being told we were not interested is of no concern to them, who am I to help them out. I do wonder however, how they expect doctors to allow them to run their scheduling when they cannot even manage their own company efficiently. The last straw came when we received a call this morning at 6:30 AM at our home just as I was waking up our youngest daughter with birthday wishes... I had to run downstairs to answer the phone thinking that something must have been wrong with a family member... which meant I had to stop hugging and kissing and tickling my little girl to answer this nagging, bothersome, rude, inconsiderate phone call from a company I have already told to stop calling us several times! So I have decided that since I cannot get through to them on my own, I will take to the internet and give an honest review of them to others in an attempt to stop them from bothering others! They even had our private cell phone number for crying out loud! I encourage everyone else who has had something similar happen to them to do the same thing! Enough is enough!

I am a Dentist, and was contacted by ZocDoc, from the beginning i told them i was not interested, they were relentless and rude, claimed i didn't want to see new patients. I explained that my office does very well and doesn't need to pay a company to send patients my way, that if people are interested in seeing my practice then they are more than welcome to call and schedule. After being harassed for more than 10 minutes, i had to hang up. They are terrible.

Ridiculously pushy, unrelenting sales force that uses every ruse to obtain doctors private phone lines and emails, then falsely claims they were referred by another doctor, etc. I am a physician, I would not recommend this service to anyone. This is a bad business.

I already have online scheduling tools available through my electronic medical record and a reputable professional consortium.

I had an experience similar to that of others. I scheduled an appointment though ZocDoc for my regular GP who up until today I enjoyed seeing. I scheduled with ZocDoc two months in advance I received multiple reminder texts and emails (including the day of my scheduled appointment). When I arrived at the doctors office they had not record that I ever scheduled an appointment. It was a wasted trip!

I am a patient of Water's Edge Dermatology in Malabar Fl for the past three years. I had a pre cancer spot frozen off. Dr Welton was my doctor. He is extremely professional and thorough. His "bed side " manner was excellent. He explained everything to me and what to do for aftercare. The staff at this office are wonderful. They are so helpful and willing to answer any questions if the doctor or nurse practioner arent available. I would not hesitate to recommend any one there.

I had a horrible experience with ZocDoc. I saw a psychiatrist who, according to their website, was "in network" with my insurance company. Two months into therapy I got a bill from him for $100 per session. He was not "in network" after all, but when I complained to ZocDoc, they claimed he misrepresented himself. On top of the insurance issue the Dr behaved unethically and was actually verbally abusive to me when I was severely depressed. I terminated treatment and wrote an honest review on a ZocDoc. They called to confirm details, and assured me it would be posted. Is it there? No. Is he still listed as being "in network" with my insurance provider? Yes!

This service is unethical! Thy do not let you post negative review, and they seem to auto-generate 5 stars review for every doctor that uses their service. I posted an honest negative review about a horrible doctor I visited and booked through ZocDoc My review was never posted, and they called me to apologize that they can not post reviews that include negative facts about the doctor like misdiagnose, being too rush, etc. Use Yelp, Google maps reviews as they are more trustworthy than this unethical ZocDoc.

Do not use this service. When we arrived for scheduled appointment there was no information or appointment for us. Received reminder from ZocDoc 2 hrs before said appointment showing correct doctor and address along with date and time of appointment. Doctor's office knew nothing about us!

I would not recommend this service. I made an appointment that got moved without even a phone call. Their HR person tried to appease the issue with a $5 Amazon gift card, but apparently there are no internal controls to ensure that doctors are available when the system says they are. I made another appointment for an available time at a different near-by doctor's office. But no one from the office bothered to call me and tell me that the doctor was not in. I had already taken off of work and was on my way. Lucky that I called to make sure they took my insurance. When I asked them why they had the time available online, they just said, "oh, we're sorry. How about Thursday (2 days later!). - apparently syncing calendars is too difficult for ZocDoc.

My first experience will also be my last. I recently moved back to the Boston area from New York, and needed a new PCP. This was particularly urgent as I am a heart patient, and require regular refills of several prescriptions, mandating a referral to a cardiologist While I wasn't thrilled with the choices available, I gulped and made an appointment, which was confirmed on Jul 22.

Today, I received a call from the doctor's office; my appointment was cancelled, it was "made wrong." How so? "The doctor doesn't have enough time to see you." When I remonstrated, I was referred to another doctor, who has availability in mid-August. My prescriptions will have run out by then, but we'll see what can be done.

In any case, my sense is that ZocDoc doesn't necessarily attract the best and brightest in the medical profession; certainly, this physician's staff rate something south of "F". As noted at the outset, I consider my use of ZocDoc to be a failed experiment, and I certainly wouldn't suggest that anyone else try it.

Some doctors are making it so they come up for all insurances, but in reality they don't accept them. They just put a line in their ZocDoc description saying they only accept PPO insurance or whatever, but since they came up for the insurance company selected, and most people don't know what PPO is, they get the business and the ZocDoc customer is stuck with a bill in the mail. Without constant policing, ZocDoc is worse than useless.

Another scam doctors are doing using ZocDoc is puffing themselves up in the description, then when you get to the office, you get a DIFFERENT DOCTOR THAN YOU BOOKED. And there's no way to review this so others know. ZocDoc doesn't allow you to review them if you didn't see them -- they delete the bad reviews.

This company uses deceptive business practices to operate. They call physician offices pretending to need an appointment, and then they later do their business pitch to sign them up. I have seen this repeatedly--it is worse than trying to discontinue cable service or a credit card. Companies like this invariably fail because they are unable to succeed without deception. I would not trust this company to do anything regarding health. In fact, I wouldn't trust them to manage my plant-watering.

I booked an appointment through Zocdoc with an ENT doctor by the name of Conrad K McCutcheon in Houston. I was late due to a major accident near the office that had traffic backed up for miles and apologized and the woman at the desk sad that is ok we are aware of the accident. I was in terrible pain with my THROAT was SWELLNG and a large growth under my tongue. She then tells me they have no record of my appointment. Really? I pulled out my I-Pad and showed her the email. "Oh I found it" she says... well you will just have to come back another day she tells me! I begged to see the doctor and they could have cared less. If you want a good doctor find them yourself and call and make an appointment! By depending on this service and this doctor, I missed work, got kicked to the curb with a serious health condition and am in serious pain, with a growth growing in my mouth and unable to get an appointment with an ENT doctor for two weeks. Thanks ZocDoc! P.S. They will not put my review of Dr. McCutcheon on the website because " I did not actually see him" Really? Or is it because if the truth was known people would likely not want to use your service or this doctor? BEWARE!

The amount of negative reviews for this site is questionable. I have 3 cousins who are all providers on ZocDoc (in the same practice) and it has helped them ALL grow their patient base and even helped patients find them whose insurance reimburses higher. As far as the reviews, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure only patients can review.

ZocDoc has been absolutely incredible for my practice. It allows my patients 24/7 access to my office and gives my patients peace of mind. They love how easy it is to book with me.

I don't understand the bad reviews from doctors on here, maybe they just misunderstand what it is. ZocDoc doesn't seem to be a marketing company, and they don't claim to be. ZocDoc is just a technology that makes it easier for patients to find a doctor who accepts their insurance and book appointments in a day and age where people want everything quick, fast, and in a hurry. It's the logical progression for our industry - to me it was a no brainer and I absolutely love it.

My staff loves it because it makes the intake process so easy, they get patient information right from ZocDoc alerts instead of those 10 minute phone calls. We don't lose the personal touch with our patients because it is still so easy to stay in touch!

We have also seen a bunch of new patients who found us through ZocDoc and even the ones who found us through our website or word of mouth used ZocDoc to book. A few of them said they chose me over another provider because it was so much easier to book! Beat that!

ZocDoc's reviews are great because it's not just the annoyed people who leave reviews, everyone does because ZocDoc makes it so easy for them to post reviews! People can find out about me from someone else besides an anonymous poster who I don't remember treating and get a better idea for who I am.

This is the way healthcare should be going, it's time to step out of the stone age!

When you're in pain and need to see a doctor, the last thing you need is the doctor you booked to tell you they don't take your insurance. Zoc doc does not have updated information on insurance. Worst experience. Would never use this site again

I recently visited a doctor that had received all 5 ratings but the visit was a nightmare. Needless to say I asked for a return on my copay and never visited the doctor based on the staff, lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and chaotic surroundings. It was by far the most horrible doctor's office I have ever visited in my 42 years. I completed my review on Zoc Doc and I was very tactful in my review and even noted I did not see the doctor (so I gave the doctor's bedside manner a 3 rating). The next morning bright and early I received a call from Zoc Doc letting me know they were removing my review. I asked why? She advised me that they remove reviews that have profanity - I advised her mine did not have that and she agreed. Then she stated they remove it if I discuss pricing - I did none of that and she agreed. So she simply resorted to saying that since I never actually "saw" the doctor they were removing it. I explained I never saw the doctor based on the conditions of the office and I was basically told so sad too bad. I explained that perhaps this had happened with this doctor before and that if they remove the negative reviews consumers will not know. I was told that was their policy and the end of the story. Zoc Doc is so convenient but I refuse to ever use it again. For those who do use it out of convenience (and it is convenient!), don't count on the reviews. I wondered why everyone had 5 ratings! Now I know. Beware!

We were traveling to a baby shower to Boston and I had a medical emergency, because a piece of my tooth broke off. Luckily frontdesk of our hotel recommended to me Yelp.com and Zocdoc.com, so I didn't have to go to the local hospital and wait in the emergency room. I was able to get an appointment right away with ZocDoc and didn't even have to call.

One of my favorite sites, b/c booking a doc is as easy as ordering food online. I'd give it 5 stars if they had more doctors in Miami. I also love to see pictures about the doc offices, so I know where I am heading to.
