Just booked my appointment, so don't need to try to call my doc at 8am tomorrow. This worked out great so far. As good as ordering food online. Big time saver for me.
I see a lot of negative reviews for this site from physicians, but as someone who needed to find a doctor in my area that was covered by my insurance I found this site to be extremely helpful.
- I was able to book my appointment online in no time at all
- I printed out the documents I needed to fill out before hand so my trip to the doctor was streamlined
- I signed up for the text reminder, they only sent me one message and it included the address and phone number of the doctor so I didn't have to go searching for it.
- I felt like the entire process was painless and hassle free!
I would recommend Zocdoc for those looking for physicians in their area.
Not buying it. I recently found out that a very poor doctor received a five star rating on zocdoc with a total of 44 reviews. It appears that Zocdoc creates a different reality, one in which the best doctors aren't even reviewed, but the worst are all of a sudden receiving slew of positive reviews. I don't know the dynamic, how these reviews come to be, but I know it doesn't jive with reality. The reality, most people don't leave reviews unless they're very unhappy. This is why dozens of positive reviews can often be a red flag and it's certainly is the case in this situation.
The sales representatives that work for this company are rude, pushy, argumentative and disrespectful. If the owner of this company doesn't do a better job of screening who they hire to speak with doctors and their representatives, they will not prosper. Horrible. Horrible. And horrible.
I've been using Zocdoc for a few months now and admittedly did call to confirm my appointment when I first started using it... Just because it was a bit weird for me. But that was then. Haven't had an issue making an appointment. Maybe because the office is familiar with the process. All and all, been great so far.
Booked an appointment for Monday morning at 10 am, the doctor's office called at 9:30 as I was walking out the door with my son who stayed home from school for this appt. And was told the doctor didn't have any available appts for that day. They wanted to make an appt for Wednesday. I asked why I was allowed to make an appt. At all for today and was told I wasn't making an appt I was requesting one for today! It says on Zocdoc you are booking an appt. Not requesting one. What a useless website, Zocdoc has no idea of available days or hours, I'll just call the Dr's office direct. Stupid me for thinking this is convenient, being able to make an appt over the weekend.
This site is amazing, the app as well! Super convenient way to find a Dr and book an appointment. Never got disappointed by the doctors I got through it
This site is great, it is all about empowering Patients and Doctors. I use it to book all of my PCP appointments. Its easy, I love the reminders, and its like Orbitz but for the Healthcare Field. Its wonderful!
I found a great number of positive reviews for a gynecologist I planned to see for the first time on ZocDoc. However, after my visit I found him a very bad doctor. There is no way to write a review about him on ZocDoc and besides I believe these positive reviews are not real.
Horrible disconnect between ZocDoc site & dentist office! I booked an appointment in the morning through ZocDoc, only to have the dentist office call me in the afternoon & advise me that that appointment time was NOT available & offered to schedule a new appointment time. Then, the NEXT morning, I get an email from ZocDoc CONFIRMING my original (unavailable) appointment! From now on, I'll just call the dentist office & schedule my appointments w/them, thank you very much. :)
Horrible. They sign you up for a hefty upfront fee. They promise sending you patients and nothing happens. When you try to get hold of someone they run you around forever. Apparently no one is available to help you after they take your money. Don't waste your hard earned marketing money on this company.
Providers stay away from ZOCDOC, gave a star only because there is no other option less than that, they are just money greed company trying extremely hard to profit off your hard work…..
I used this service to book an urgently needed doctor appointment. I spent 30 minutes filling out paper work so that it would not have to be done when I arrived at the doctor's office. The Doctor was Tom Macek in Fort Lauderdale. When I came to the appointment, they were caught totally by surprise, and had someone else in that appointment time slot. They said if I would wait they would try to squeeze me in. That sort of eliminates the purpose of an appointment. ZocDoc was worthless, the fellow in the doctor office who came out was rude. The time I spent filling out the form was a waste, as was my lost morning. Terrible experience!
Used it and loved it! This is the only way to book your appointment. No more annoying phone calls. Works just as good as Grubhub.
I will never use ZocDoc again! I booked an appointment for 4:00, seeing that this was the latest appointment offered. I received a confirmation email for this time. After I booked my appointment, I noticed a 4:15 time slot was open, which was better for me because I wouldn't have had to leave work early to get there. So I cancelled my 4:00 appointment (and subsequently received a cancellation confirmation email) and rescheduled for the 4:15 appointment. Again, I received a confirmation email about my 4:15 appointment time. That was the last email I received from ZocDoc. When I went to the office, the receptionist asked me if I had an appointment, and I told her I booked a 4:15 appointment on ZocDoc. She stated that she did not see anything about me having an appointment AT ALL! I then showed her the VERY LAST email I received from ZocDoc confirming my 4:15 appointment. She looked again, and said that the 4:00 appointment showed up as cancelled, rescheduled for 4:15, then cancelled again for the 4:15 appointment. I never received any email stating that the 4:15 appointment was cancelled, because I DID NOT CANCEL IT! It was cancelled without my knowledge, and I did not receive an email stating it was cancelled. Needless to say, I was very upset. The doctor was so booked up that they couldn't even squeeze me in. I have symptoms of a urinary tract infection (which, if you have ever had one, you know how excruciating they are) but I now have to wait until tomorrow to walk in and see if they could squeeze me in because they are booked up for tomorrow. So... one wasted trip, a night of urinary pain ahead of me, and another possible wasted trip tomorrow is all I got from using ZocDoc.
ZocDoc only publishes positive reviews for doctors, since doctors pay $3000/year for their service. ZocDoc is popular with bad doctors who have horrible reviews on legitimate sites such as Healthgrades or Vitals. They pay ZocDoc to try to improve their reputation. As a patient, if you use ZocDoc and then don't like the doctor, your negative review will never be published. Post your review on another site, and don't use ZocDoc! Any doctor using ZocDoc is desparate for business. Good docs don't have to advertise. When is the Attorney General going to shut down unethical ZocDoc?
Started off good being able to review and make an appointment; however, that is where the good ended. The doctor received great reviews on ZocDoc, but after my appointment with this particular doctor, I did a little more research because I could not believe he had good reviews, and he didn't anywhere else. So I decided to post my experience on ZocDoc so others would know. Well, my review was never published on the ZocDoc site. They called me and told me they could not publish my written review because there was medical advice in there and ZocDoc is not a doctor and can't post medical advice. There was not medical advice. All I said was the doctor did not do something all other similar doctors I have been to did. I also had to wait 1.5 hours past my appointment to be seen by the doctor who was with me for maybe 7 minutes. I definitely do not recommend ZocDoc. It appears they are working for the doctors and will not allow bad reviews posted and will find any excuse not to post it and make it appear to be for legal reasons. This is BS, there was nothing illegal about my posting! Will never use again because they are a fraud!
They called my office and told me that they worked for a physicians office and that they needed to send me a patient. When I picked up the phone, they started a sales pitch. They are very unprofessional and are frankly lying to the physicians. As a physician myself, I am glad that I was able to figure this out. I recommend that all patients and physicians stay away from this company, as they are shady and should not be trusted!
We had a great experience with Zoc Doc. Our clinic has been in business for over 12 years and we were never told to only post positive reviews. I think any type of review online can be bias. You can't blame Zoc Doc for only posting positive ones. Usually most patients check multiple sites to see if the doctor they are looking to use has good reputation. Negative reviews could be posted by competitors and positive reviews could be posted by paid patients. So, the point is find out how long the doctor has been around and check out the practice for yourself if you want a real review. Is it busy? Do the patients look happy? Seeing is believing every time. We got a GREAT patient from Zoc Doc in the first week we signed up and the patient had such a great experience with us he posted his own review on a different website on us.
This site allows doctor's to post their own material online without investigating the accuracy of info. I booked an appointment with a doctor that advertised my insurance as IN NETWORK and guess what? It was not and now I am stuck with a bill for 2k... The doctor's office is a rip off and this site is a rip off. I alerted Zoc Doc over one month ago and not one damn thing was done about this... don't use this site
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or [email protected] if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down.
