After I did some modifications to my resume, Zety informed that it is not for free if I want to save the work done, so I agreed to pay something like 3 CAD for this work. No subscriptions to pay for nothing was done on my side. Nevertheless the platform charged me 35 CAD without any forthcoming messages. I consider it a fraudy actions and require to pay back the money taken from the card.
UPD: After I unsubscribed (which was not easy, since Zety is not accessible in Ukraine and I had to wait for the chance to do it from abroad), Zety has refunded half of the monthly fee, which is 17,48 CAD, which I, of course appreciate very much.
However, for me this was very unpleasant experience, since the information about automatic charging was not clear during the registration process, but hidden somewhere in the registration letter. This is a (costly) lesson for me (and hopefully free lesson to other) that it is important to read the conditions more careful.

They will sucker you in by giving the opportunity to create a cover letter for $2.99 but they will still charge you $22 for a subscription that they sign you up for will continue to charge you if you don't go back in and cancel the subscription you didn't sign up for. They will not refund your money. VERY VERY DECEPTIVE rAND DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES! They should be reported to the BBB! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

They are very sneaky and how they take your money. I paid them $2 whatever they needed to get a simple cover printed.
Months later I realize they are billing me $23.75 per month. I did not even go back to their website and they were still billing me.
I tried to talk reasonably to the person who answered the phone but her only agreement would be she would give me 1/2 discount for the last month but every other month they will not reimburse me.
I would not recommend using this company unless you read all of the fine print.

After initially paying $2 for a trial over a year ago, I recently discovered that they've been sneakily charging me $23.70 per month without my authorization! I really liked their function and suggestion to revamp my resume for approximately $3, which would then generate a revamped Resume. I thought I had cancelled the subscription during the "free trial" period, and that it was resolved. I believed I could use the service in the future if there were any changes in my career. However, to my shock, I was charged $35 today without any prior alert, and I've noticed many people have complained about this, labeling it a scam. So, I decided to cancel the subscription. I went to the website and tried over 100 times to request the cancellation of my subscription, but it never went through. It just paused and hung on the same page, yet I could access all other pages on their website, which seemed intentional. I genuinely feel cheated and would like to request a refund. Zety.com continues to charge you even after you've supposedly "canceled" your subscription. The company relies on people forgetting, as I did, and not verifying whether the subscription remains inactive after cancellation. While their resume and motivational letter creation service is effective and worth the price, the subscription cancellation process appears to be a deliberate scam. Due to purported mistakes or technical issues, the cancellation is deemed invalid, resulting in significant monthly charges for a nonexistent service.

Zety - charged me additional money without my knowledge. I pay 2 dollars for 2 weeks and after 2 or 3 weeks I suddenly found myself being charged 20 dollars without my consent and without my knowledge. They should be banned and investigated by the police, for stealing from customers' accounts without their consent.

It let me build my resume just fine. When I was about to download it and pay for the service, I got a message saying my payment could not be processed so I called customer service. Was nicely treated but was told that my card didn't have any issues that the issue was that Zety does not serve my country! Totally RIDICULOUS and STUPID. What do people in the USA think? That other countries in the world do not have the right to use their app just because? There are millions of sites from which I could have created and downloaded my resume and for FREE, but I liked the way Zety was building my CV. Obviously this changed my way of thinking when finding out that my country is not included in their services. Oh well! It seems like the creators of such sites have one or two things to fix. I mean, if you people do not care or simply decide some countries are not good enough to use your services say it BEFORE the person takes her or his time building something. It's sooo last century to let someone use the app and then not letting download the resume just because the country is not included!

I called because my son's exgirlfriend har used my card to pay for her resume. I thought it was my son's account all along which is why I continued to pay for it. I was billed a total of $213.30 for 9 months after my $2.70 for a 14-day trial period expired without realizing it. Zety did not notify me or send me any e-receipts for each time they billed, nor did they notify me that the service had automatically renewed. I discovered this by checking my card activity on the bank application and discovering unusual charges that spanned from 25/03/2023 to 4/11/2023. So, on November 4,2023, I wrote to customer support requesting a full refund for each month they had billed me and asked them to remove my billing information from their website because there was no activity on my account. It is impossible to remove your current billing information once you have submitted it on the website unless you add a new card for them to scam you. In addition, I contacted Zety via Facebook Messenger, and the social media team advised me to write an email to their customer service or submit a form on Zety and expect a response within 48 hours. Nobody has contacted me or responded to my email as of today. I have to call my bank to disable my card and issue me a new one. I believed I was the only one who had a terrible experience that couldn't be resolved. But I notice a lot of people on here are having the same issues. The customer care representative who responds to each review here merely defends themselves and does not actually solve anything. So, don't use Zety. Do not enter your credit card information on their website.
