I have a pretty average, even weak prescription - a little nearsighted with a slight astigmatism - and despite this relatively basic prescription, zennis screwed up. They allowed me to return them for inspection and when they confirmed my claim, offered to redo them, but I declined. They tried to offer me only a store credit and finally refunded the full amount upon my insistence.
The frames themselves fit well and arrived quickly, but felt cheaper than drug store reading glasses. I can't emphasize how shocked I was at the poor quality of the frames.
Zennis is a hopeful option in our American nightmare of terrible insurance - a stopgap for the truly desperate. But if you can afford to, buy them from a real optician.
Zenni never fails to amaze me, great prices and even better quality! I'm now on my 10th pair, not because they break, but because I can get get 4 pairs for the price of one at an optician. Always get perfect lens, with all the coatings. Fast service and shipping. One one pair, I made a mistake on my prescription, zenni customer service was great. Organized a return and credit for a new pair. I'm never shopping anywhere else!
I ordered progressive lenses and cannot see out if them. The reading part is so tiny that I can't use it. I did the online chat and the representative was rude and condescending. I asked for him to send me a copy of our conversation, he said he would, I never received it. I explained to him that I have progressive lenses and do not have issues with them. He went on to tell me how progressive lenses work in a sarcastic way. I again told him I have had them for years and know how they work. I have single vision glasses that are great and I am satisfied with, it's the progressive pair.
I will be returning all five pair just because of the poor customer service. I would have kept the single vision glasses but not after the live chat. I will do business with another online company that backs its product and has professional customer service representatives.
How convenient I was disconnected before finishing our conversation and he never emailed me the transcript as promised. I'm glad I did get some screen shots promising me this.
I bought 3 pairs of glasses, 2 of them are fine, but one of them had problem. I wasn't able to focus at all on that one. Contacted customer service and they say they need the original prescription or else they won't do anything. I told them I don't have the original prescription anymore and it is not a prescription problem since two other pairs of glasses are perfectly fine. The said they can't do anything And they won't refund me neither only store credit. I am now stuck with a useless pair of glasses.
Terrible customer service.
Yeesh, where do I begin? I ordered sunglasses from their company late last summer which was all fine and good until one of the lens popped out of the frame a couple months later. Since I was already past the warranty, I didn't qualify for a refund, plus I was aware on reddit that this company is stubborn about that. Needless to say I was able to pop the lens into the frame and still use them, despite the fact that the defective lens would pop out on and off occasionally.
A few days ago when I had my sunglasses on the defective lens not only popped out but after many months of stress on the frame, the frame broke on the side, too! I was so irate. So, I wrote a review harping on the bad quality. Zenni contacted me as a result of this review and advised me that I should contact their customer care to get a refund as they would make an exception for me. Ok...
I didn't want to call so I sent an email as directed (with the order number as directed) and one of their representatives from China (because this company is too cheap) told me that I was already past the warranty and I was pretty much SOL, although she stated that I should feel free to purchase another pair. What?! At that point I was pissed. I sent her screenshots of the messages Zenni sent me which indicate they made an exception for me.
I just found out today that instead of issuing a refund, this same crazy representative reordered the same sunglasses AND reiterated that this was an exception! I don't want your horrible sunglasses and I never said I wanted a replacement! Where in my message from Zenni did it say that I should get a replacement pair? But I guess that's cheaper for them instead of giving my money back.
Buyer beware. You get what you pay for both in product quality AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. They're fine if you have no issues but should you EVER have issues with what you received, it's going to be an absolute nightmare working with them.
I've used Zenni for over 10 years. Very happy until now. My prescription is getting stronger each year, and now I keep going in circles trying to find frames that will accommodate my prescription. I get all the way through the ordering process to 'submit prescription' and then get a message that the frames won't work for me. I live-chatted to seek help with filters, but there aren't filters available for my issue. Too bad. I liked Zenni. However, I don't have time to waste trying to find frame matches.

I ordered glasses- received them and could not see anything- unwearable. I contacted the company, they asked me to send them back, which I did; Zenni then stated the prescription was correct (NOT!); they did provide a credit. I ordered a new pair of glasses. I can see "a little better" with them, but I could never wear them daily, and don't even use them as my "back-up" glasses. I will NEVER order from Zenni again. The quality is very poor. When I had an optical store assess them, they were able to tell me that they were very poor quality.

I've ordered glasses from here before with no problem, however the last pair they sent me I cannot see out of! The lens prescription is entirely incorrect and the arms of the frames are stretched out wide as to where the glasses do not stay on my face( possibly why they were on sale?). So now im without glasses and I need glasses to see. I tried calling them and my calls went to INDIA. I'll just dispute with my bank and go to LEns Crafters where I should have gone initially.

I like them better than the eye glasses I bought at the local eye glass store. They fit a lot better and the bifocal are the best.

The chat representative that helped me find glasses that worked with my prescription and eye measurements... didn't mention frame size and I never saw an option or a drop down for that. These glasses would fit a child... they are totally worthless... but I guess I'm stuck with them

Then to select a frame that will fit you better, we recommend that you use a tool that can be found toward the middle of the bottom of every page on the Zenni Optical website, our How to Measure Your Frame Size infographic: https://www.zennioptical.com/measure-eyeglass-frame-size-how-to. If you measure the dimensions of a pair of glasses you have now that fit you well and look good on your face, you can shop for a frame on our website that will fit you just as well. The glasses are great and they did not cost very much at all. The only reason I did not give 5 stars as the Mobil website gave me a few issues while trying to order.
My friend told me about zenni. And I wish I knew about them sooner I spent 850 on my lasst glasses and don't even like them. Zenni glasses are affordable and stylish with out the price and they get delivered super fast! I like them so much I e ordered 3 pairs.
Ordered my first pair of progressive, transition glasses only to find out that I had ordered child's glasses however I wasn't aware that child's glasses are included in WOMENS eyeglass searches! I received 100% store credit to reorder adult size progressive transition glasses and paid express shipping for second order only to find out that the transition sunglass DOES NOT work inside a vehicle and being that I am a school bus driver and ordered these for safety THEY ARE USELESS FOR ME. HOWEVER, I am now told by Zenni that I can only get 54.95 total back on these horrible glasses in order to reorder a new pair without transitions since I don't want to pay for something that doesn't work for me. SOOOO long story short, I will try a third time and use my refund amount of 54.95 ( I have 130.00 invested) toward a new pair without transitions and pay ANOTHER 35.00 ( now 165. Invested)to finally get these glasses correct ( 3rd pair will cost 89.00 but I have 165.00 to Zenni). I love Zenni but I don't like that the customer is expected to know every detail while ordering. We'd like to confirm that most photochromic lenses (including non-Zenni lenses) do not activate while inside a vehicle or near windows because the UV rays needed to activate them are blocked by most windshields and windows. This information is available on our website and can be found on the page where you are asked to choose your lenses, by clicking on the question mark located near any of the photochromic lens options. Nevertheless, we are sorry that you were not aware that the lenses would not darken inside a vehicle and we apologize for the disappointment you experienced as a result. Additionally, we appreciate your feedback, which leads us to consider that this information can be made more visible, so we want you to know that your comments will be forwarded to the appropriate department to be taken under consideration for future updates to our site. Furthermore, we can confirm that our policy states that if an order that was purchased using store credit is being returned, it cannot be returned for another 100% store credit but for 50% refund. The coating Zenni puts on their lenses rubs off around the 1 year mark. Buyer beware and their customer service inquired with me when I first started noticing the coating come off and it was 100% prior to the 1 year mark. They would not honor their 1 year coating warranty. I will not purchase and no longer refer people to them. Poor customer service and poor coatings applied to their glasses.

As we mentioned in our response to the review you recently posted on another review website, because the order was close to the one-year mark, we were disappointed to learn that our customer service representative did not offer to extend the warranty period to allow you to return these glasses for an inspection, and, if we saw that the coating was failing, to offer you a free remake of the glasses. Consequently, after reviewing your case on November 25th, we emailed you instructions to return the glasses for an inspection of the anti-reflective coating; we also emailed you a prepaid shipping label you may use for return postage. When we receive the glasses, a thorough inspection will be completed, and we will email you the results. We apologize again that we did not initially offer to accept these glasses back for an inspection, and we hope that you will return them soon so that we can resolve this matter quickly and to your satisfaction.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Zenni Optical. I was very skeptical about ordering my glasses "on line" but decided to purchase a test pair. They fit perfect, I could see clearly, and they cost me less than $50.00! What's not to LOVE!
I have ordered more than 5 pairs of glasses from Zenni: sunglasses, reading/computer, and bifocals over the last few years. My prescription changes every 18 months or so and now I don't panic. I can afford new glasses with ZENNI!

I contacted customer service via online chat and explained my reason for return and I was told I would receive 100% credit that could be applied to my reorder. Progressive lenses contain three viewing areas: distance-, intermediate-, and near-vision - the distance vision area is near the top of the lens, the near vision area is at the bottom, and the intermediate vision area is in the middle. The clear viewing area is located in the central "corridor" of the lenses, so there can be a noticeable but expected blur when looking toward the edges of the lenses. Due to this design, and because there are slight differences between progressive lenses across brands, someone new to wearing progressive lenses may initially experience some difficulty adjusting to them; likewise, someone who is already accustomed to wearing one brand of progressive lenses may have some difficulty adjusting if they switch to a different brand, and they will find that it it will take some time to become accustomed to the new lenses. Despite the period of adaptation needed, we are happy to report that we do not receive a disproportionate number of complaints about our progressive lenses.
