Useless and Deceitful

1. Show item at Black Friday price.
2. Take order at Black Friday price.
3. Fail to adequately stock item.
4. Arbitrarily cancel order citing BS about payment issues, despite payment clearly being ready for collection in PayPal queue.
5. Ensure cancellation occurs after all the Black Friday offers have been closed for several days, preventing repurchase.
6. Refuse to answer queries for several days.

Will not use these clowns again.

Avoid like the plague

Order an XBox One deal online,
PAYMENT TAKEN straight away,
Day later received an email requesting proof of address,
Attempted to do this via their website immediately,
Their website did not work,
Sent them an email for alternative means to provide info,
Day later received an alternative email adress, sent the info...
A week later I contact them to request an update
Am told the item is now out of stock
They are gong to issue a refund that will take 3 to 5 days

PURE DIRT\ RUBBISH AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I will never order from this company again. I ordered a one off Zbox from Zavvi to receive ONE zbox for ONE month. After i received the box i emailed them asking for clarification that i would not receive any more zbox's from them in the future. I received an email clarifying that i had no active subscriptions and would not receive anymore zbox's. However, the next month i received another box in the post and they had taken a payment from my bank account without my permission. I contacted them to request a return as i never ordered this box in the first place. This has been the most ridiculously difficult ordeal i've ever experienced with a company. They are trying everything in their power to avoid allowing me to return the item. They have not answered any of the queries in my emails and have sent me TWO wrong return labels. I went to the collect point AND the post office who wont accept the label as it is not scanable. Now the package will be overdue the return date. I am giving up trying to contact them as they dont have a telephone number and i keep getting generic responses via email. I am contacting trading standards in the moring as this company has conned me out of money. Do not waste your time with this company. Not worth it.

Fathers day present
November 13, 2015

Ordered fathers day present on the 2nd of june, only dispatched on the 15th! When i asked hows this gong to be here on the 17th the day its for fathers day as advertised the customer service couldnt give a hoot and just repeat a scripted message not even reading my question. Not my 1st problem with zavvi i just forgot as it was years ago. STAY CLEAR USELESS

I ordered my daughter movies that she was soooo dying to have at home they sent them for the uk only! I questioned this and they refused to refund my money because I opened the product! Now I'm out all the money and I have 3 DVDs that are useless to me!

Misleading and Liars

I placed an order for an item that was supposed to be shipped on the next day. I waited the max 3 weeks before sending in a request to track. I was told by an employee it was indeed shipped the next day. I then waited another week and was told that it hadn't even been shipped yet and the "confusion" with the employee was a training issue that needed to be fixed. There are too many other companies that do better. Stay AWAY!

27 DAY DELIVERY TIME & AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

I pre-ordered a copy of FIFA 16 for Xbox One on 03/09/2015 and was told I would receive the item no later than 28/09/2015, 4 days after the game's release date. Having not received this item by them, I was told I had to wait an additional 14 working days for it to be delivered. Unsurprisingly after this period of time I was still awaiting my item. I got onto Zavvi through it's online message centre which is a lot more complex than making a phone call, but to my amazement there is no number provided to do this (probably because they wouldn't be able to take the numerous amount of customer complaint). I informed Zavvi that I had bought the game elsewhere as they failed to deliver it on time, and therefore no longer wanted the game. Rather than simply offer me a full refund, they decided to make me wait until 21/10/15 to finally receive the item that I no longer wanted just to have me return the game. The service provided was absolutely terrible and by far the worst experience I have ever received. Taking 27 days to deliver and order is bad enough, but the way I was palmed off on multiple occasions, and how Zavvi simply couldn't deal with a simple request is completely unacceptable. I will never be using this website again as I have received much better service from Amazon and ShopTo, just to name a few, and suggest that others avoid ordering from this pathetic excuse of a retailer.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Trying to return an item that arrived poorly packaged and damaged - Has taken weeks to get a replacement sent out from their email only customer services, and once I did, they ignored my requests to have it packaged in a box. Lets see if this one arrives damaged too.

They have literally ignored pretty much everything I have said to them, and get this - THERE IS NO UK PHONE NUMBER TO CALL, UNLESS YOU BUY THROUGH EBAY- THEN YOU CAN CALL CUSTOMER SERVICES... Don't call them unless you do buy through eBay though because they wont help you.

USELESS company and I wont be dealing with them again.

EDIT::

Replacement arrived damaged as they ignored my 2nd request to put it in a box to protect it. Three products all arrived damaged. Fed up trying to get a replacement that isn't damaged and got my money back after about a month.

JOKE.

I ordered a set of Black Books DVDs to be shipped to the US. The price was right, but I should have looked at Zavvi's reviews first! Zavvi sent an e-mail asking me to wait three weeks before letting them know that the product had not arrived. When I contacted them after five weeks, they told me that they couldn't do anything for me after four weeks; no offer of reimbursement or any such thing.

I can only sincerely hope that anyone looking through these reviews and still thinking about buying from Zavvi reconsiders they literally have only automated customer services I have yet to be able to connect with a live person either through email or phone.

I bought a DVD box set from them online 9/9/15 and it was three weeks later on October 1st when I finally received it now the email that stated it was despatched the day after I ordered it said that it could take until October 8th to receive so in the grand scheme of things I supposed at least they managed to deliver however upon receiving them I of course tried watching right away and received an error code stating that it would not work in my region never before had I given heard of region codes!

And so started the process of attempting to return it looking at the website I sent an email to the appropriate area received a response stating that region codes were clearly stated in the product details. Having never had to know what a region code was before I had of course overlooked that and still believe that at least some of my money should have been returned I attempted to send another email and started trying to call and the calls when they went through were only automated and too me around in circles and the email that came back as a reply to the second one I sent was word for word the exact same thing as the first so I'm out $130. Lesson learned hope you learn from my mistake.

This company is crazy!

So finally hearing from customer service from this crazy company... I ask them that I would like to send back the movies I purchased since they cannot be watched in this country and they tell me I cannot do an exchange because I opened the dvd so they could not resell it. How do they think I was able to find out that the movie could not be played in this country?

Pre-ordered game 3 months before release. Release date rolls around and no game.

Contacted them and got a reply saying that "Your order is on special order for you with our supplier but at this time they are unable to give me a date for when they will have it back in stock. In the meantime our buyers are trying to obtain this for you from other suppliers."

Contacted them again and said that I didn't understand why they were out of stock of a pre-ordered game and that I could do with some idea of when I would receive it.

Reply was "I am very sorry for the delay in this order, once the item is in stock it will automatically be despatched straight to you."

Not answering the question and offering no reason for how they could fail to deliver my pre-order.

Despite the loss of pre-order bonus items I am cancelling the order and will not be buying from them again.

Pre ordered 'mario maker' for my autistic son in June with a release date of 11th sept, today nothing turned up so I contacted Zavvi to be told it had not even been posted yet! And to top this they refused to refund me and I was told that it could take a further 5 working days to arrive! What is the point pre ordering? I now have to wait with a very disappointed autistic son who can't comprehend why his game hasn't arrived.

I would NOT recommend buying from them. It took 15 days for my order to arrive. They clearly lied about dispatching it immediately. They were too f*** lazy and dispatched it a week late. Not to mention their customer service staff are pathetic. Taking between 2-3 days just to reply. They weren't helpful at all and only interested in covering their own backs. USELESS AND PATHETIC. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

WHAT'S GOING ON? BOTH OF THE DVD ISN'T PLAYING!.

I will never buy ANYTHING from them again.
I paid a lot money ALMOST $200 for 2 DVD! One for me and one for my kids... for what? Blank dvd? Really!

Turned out I have to buy a DVD player that player in the state where I live which cost a lot more because the DVD won't play anywhere else beside U. K! o. O?
They could've at least let me know smh... but they didn't. Scam!

Been buying from zavvi for years mostly for the steelbooks but have bought other items aswell. Every time i have had to contact them though it has been nothing but trouble. Purchased the marvellous zbox that comes with age of ultron back in may and only just realised that it says in my account i ordered 2 and that both were dispatched. I only recieved 1 so i emailed them. Got a response saying they are looking into it and they will get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Heard nothing after 3 days so messaged them, got a reply the day after and got told it had been cancelled cause it was sold out? I recieved no email or notification to tell me otherwise. According to my account both had been sent out. Have had other incidents with customer service aswell but this was the last straw. If it wasn't for their steelbooks i reckon this company would have went downhill long ago. The steelbooks are the only reason i bought from here but i will be looking elsewhere from now on

On several occasions, I received damaged items. Either scratched, bent, etc.

Each time I requested a replacement. And instead of simply getting one, they wanted for me to first pay for return postage, offered me excuses, getting scripted responses devoid of answers to my questions, etc., even though the fault was clearly theirs.

The last instance was the boiling point. I placed a preorder with them. A couple of days later, I sent them a cancellation message. ONE month later, I got a notification saying the item has been dispatched and my credit card charged. Since it was clearly an oversight on their part, I contacted them, only to be once again privy to their incompetence and refusal to accept any responsibility. Now I have an item, which I had cancelled, which I do not want. And they refuse to even aknowledge any fault.

So, I invite you to use another website and save yourself some time and nerves.

Two orders were placed two months ago, not a single one of them has turned up.
I've tried contacting their "customerservice" 3-4 times this last month, hoping for an answer, each and every time, no matter what I ask for, I get the same answer: they are investigating the cases and aim to give me a reply within 48 hours. Then I hear nothing from them, until I ask the same questions again... and receive the same answers... again...

I mean, the items ordered were less than £40 together, why not offer a refund or replacement items after two friggin months?

Two thumbs down to you zavvi.com, you've obviously lost it.
